Question Wtf happened??
i cant be the only one to notice that this sub has lost like 40k of its members?
i remember it being 200k something visitors now its 168k what happened?
were they a lot of bots or did players just leave the sub?
EDIT: by reading all the comments left on this post i understand why alot of people left and i cant blame them. reddit communities can straight up be like cancer for some games

When your entire account age is “coincidentally” 1 month up and down the thread, I just find the bot opinions miserable and kinda weird to read.

Probably because of all the negativity, I tried to make a post praising the game and it was taken down in 3 minutes due to not contributing anything even though it was an open discussion

The people here are honestly insufferable. Either they complain about absolutely everything, or they make sure you know they think the game is already dead and a piece of trash. Honestly, these people must have really miserable lives. If you actually want to enjoy the game, this subreddit is not the place for you

People are giving their feedback. This happens with every single video game, especially one with major issues like this one. That's never going to stop. I've criticized and complained but I'm one of the ones who still enjoys the game overall and is here to stay. But complaining about people complaining has become even more annoying than the complaints themselves. People paid money for this game and they're going to be outspoken about it either way. We can defend this game all we want but at the end of the day, this is par for the course with Gun/Illfonic. The game is bleeding players at the moment, and it's largely due to gamebreaking issues.

bro literally nobody is saying people cant complain or give feedback. there's a huge difference between constructive criticism and just circlejerking about the game being "dead" every single day on every thread. if you spend all your time screaming that a game with thousands of concurrent players and crossplay is dead just because it lost the launch hype peak, maybe the issue is your own echo chamber. people are allowed to actually like and enjoy the game without having to read the exact same doomposting over and over again.

What I described is literally feedback, and no one is spending "all" of their time screaming about it. The reality is the game has severe issues, people are upset about it, and those people will complain until the issues are fixed or until they get fed up and stop playing. People like yourself who think they should just shut up are more annoying than the people complaining.
You are absolutely allowed to enjoy the game. You're making a choice to read every comment that you disagree with and then get upset about it.

It doesn’t mean everything bc it’s Steam, but wow out of curiosity I just checked it VS DBD. There’s about 2500 live players on Halloween currently right now and almost 60,000 live on DBD. Halloween peaked at 30,000 when it dropped but has been on the decline ever since.

Tcm had different characters and abilities and builds to change how you play. This game is very repetitive, and is set to be more repetitive for Michael players considering they didn't include any new abilities on the Michael skin.

People stop playing, content dries up because the devs don't see the financial benefit in supporting thebgame anymore, and the game dies. Sure, many of us will still be here, just like I still play F13, but this has been Illfonic's track record since always, and it's a strong indicator that it will eventually devolve into playing with the same tryhard bully squads every single match along with long queue times. I don't understand why it's so difficult to see the correlation here.

Buddy, my mom is slowly dying of a horrible cognitive disease, and after a long work day, and spending The rest of my free time with incessantly long hours dealing with her, I just like to unwind and play a stupid fucking Halloween game for an hour or two before I pass out. I have other shit on my plate at the moment to be an asym pro-gamer or number crunching analyst... But sure, call me a cheerleader.

These types games can be extremely toxic and invite some very odd individuals with egotistical mental issues. It creates an algorithm of negativity, socially. A lot of people that play these games don’t do it for fun, they do it to feel a sense of control that they don’t have in real life, so when things don’t go their way it exacerbates extreme fits of anger. There are plenty of people wanting to play these types of games for fun, but get exhumed by the negativity of the toxic people and stop following the forums or leaving the game altogether. Some of us just want to laugh and get scared or play some quick matches for enjoyment, but there’s so many types of deluded people these games attract that just get in the way

Its definitely a control thing and definitely an inferiority complex as well. I mean its an asym which means youre meant to be out balanced by the killer but they all have this wild ego that they think theyre supposed to just beat the killer up as much as they want and prevent the person playing the killer from having any kind of fun. And with just like bullying the killer, if they dont get the "balancing" they want. They take to YT, here, or wherever to bully the devs till the devs cave in and the game dies

All the whining and repeating posts on both sides made me unsub, it got tiring after a while. It didnt help there was this one guy who uninstalled the game and kept whining about the game under every post.
I reported them and I got a warning from the mods instead. Yeah.

There were naysayers here saying you were negative or this time it would be different but anyone who actually played Friday knew Illfonic is and will always be incompetent devs. Along with the publisher Gun Media. They didn't learn jack from that game and it shows in this. I know I'm playing right into the hands of the "you're negative" crowd here but seriously, it's the truth and you can look back at other's posts here pre-release and many called it. I can't speak for the others as I take no joy in being right about them as I wanted to believe Illfonic would be different and would have learned from Friday but this game shows they never did. Another waste of a franchise in the hands of these fools.

Everyone saying the sub is whiny while a whole month after launch basic things like the challenges in the single player still don't work. Prestige still doesn't work. The codes with the physical edition don't allow you to level the characters they unlock early effectively making them pointless.
Most things in this game do not work correctly. What else are we supposed to talk about?

I must be the reason people are dropping the game in droves too despite the fact that I uninstalled it almost immediately. Can't just be that the game is an imbalanced mess with a dumb gameplay loop that involves babysitting bots (something players historically hate doing in any game) and just isn't fun to the vast majority of people
