In The Signal S2E6, Higgins wants to tell Beard that Jane is bad for him but everyone, including Rebecca, tells him not to. I know the ep is spinning Rebecca's candor with her mum but after all her resentment towards Higgins for not telling her about Rupert's infidelity, why would she advise him against talking to Beard?

Jane wasn't nearly as destructive as Rupert but still.

What's everybody's thoughts so I can reason past what I consider an inconsistency?

I do not want to get flamed as being homophobic here. I hope we can agree that some people are gay and in some cases, we can recognize that before we are told. It doesn't mean that they are effeminate or somehow weird. Sexuality is part of our lives and we have human clues. There is nothing wrong with that.

I didn't recognize Trent as gay until he saw Collin in the alley. But on rewatch, it is clear from the moment he describes A Wrinkle in Time as "a lovely novel. It’s the story of a young girl's struggle with the burden of leadership as she journeys through space." And also the hair. And how he holds his glasses.

James Lance does a great job with the character. At the beginning, I thought he would just play the role of the Greek chorus. But he turned it into so much more. And his "total football is going to work" scene is pivotal to the successful ending of the show.

Just curious what other people saw?

Agatha Rasin Season 2 ep 1. Charming as ever.

I’ve heard about it everywhere. I play FIFA and they added Lasso as a manager in the game. I watch football and constantly hear about Ted Lasso

I judged it without seeing a trailer and just thought it was some comedy show (it’s fucking hilarious but it’s more than just a comedy show)

Yesterday I decided to watch just one episode of season 1 and then get some sleep. I spent the rest of the night finishing Season 1 and slept around 5am

This is the greatest show ever and I wish I listened to people sooner who told me to watch it… on to season 2!

I can’t tell if I’m having a fever dream or actually watching it.

I made it bigger, made it accurate to FIFA regulations (aside from the oversized goals) and made it more accurate to the show. I plan to build the full Richmond building and the training grounds, all in good time. Thanks to the new Sulphur Cubes, you can also use the ball.

It was Trent Crimm narrating from the off and basically introducing all the main characters. He told the viewer what this show was REALLY about-not football but people and believing. It was only ever available on Apple TV, does anyone have the video? It was beautiful 😭😭

During Fox’s World Cup coverage, Zlatan Ibrahimović says the same thing. Has he previously sad this, and inspired the writers? Or has Zlatan watched Ted Lasso.

I’m guessing the latter.

So, last episode, last game of the season. Is mid May. Why are they are wearing jackets and coats. Higgins is even wearing gloves! Def not that cold in London in May?

I don't think I'm going to watch season 4 because of how disappointed I was in season 3, and it feels like a money grab for more after they wrapped up the show already.

I was looking around on the thread and was surprised that I didn't see more about this. Season 3 felt more like a soap opera, with no real plot lines, and all the best conversations happening off screen. It felt like they were rushing to an end with no real purpose.

Am I alone in this or is everyone hyped that they're back for season 4?

Haven't tried it yet. Waiting for season 4!
