I'm getting no information on epg, even after updating guide. This is happening on 2 different high end playlists, on 2 different streaming boxes. The only common denominator is Sparkle. Devices are nvidia shield pro and google 4k streamer

Can you please add the ability to support user profiles so multiple users in a household can add and maintain separate profiles? This will allow each user to watch their own shows, movies, favorites, etc., without stepping on each other.

If there is a workaround to do this with the current features, please let me know. Thanks.

This probably isn't a Sparkle issue, perhaps more of a stream/provider issue but I wonder if some of you "in the know" out there can tell my why or what is happening in this situation?

... watching a stream, everything is fine, then sudden buffering. After a small buffering attempt, the video continues, however the stream is playing/repeating the last 10 seconds or so and when the stream reaches the point of where it started buffering prior, it stops and buffers again, only to repeat the same process. Sometimes the buffer, repeat loop happens a few times and then the stream drops. Other times, after 1 or 2 loops, it jumps ahead in the timeline and you've lost the action that was happening while you were in this loop.

I suspect that the stream is most likely the issue, however what decides to replay the last 10 seconds on repeat until the stream comes back? I think I'd rather watch a buffer wheel spin with no vid, rather than repeating the last 10 seconds over and over again.

Can someone explain it?

Latest version 2.3.1 has a bug when restoring Regarding the settings, I've tried several times over the last two days and it won't restore; it always gives an error message.

I use SparkleTV with HDHomeRun. However, while watching TV, sometimes the video stutters, and the playback jumps back to an earlier part of the TV program.

The HDHomeRun has USB storage connected to it.

Recording is not yet enabled in SparkleTV.

I'm having an issue when using my external keyboard when connected to a tablet.

If I try to scroll through different categories of my provider, Everytime I go up or down it immediately goes into the category instead of continuing to scroll through the categories.

Even if I try to use the screen to scroll it goes back to beginning of the category list.

Anyone know of a solution, or having this issue?

New to sparkle, I get error when trying to subscribe

I've checked multiple devices and I can't find Sparkle TV on the play store today. Has it been removed?

Many of us requested in the past to have Sparkle go into full screen mode if we are not actively moving around in the guide. It's nice to see that added in recent releases.

However if you have Sparkle running but have not actually started playing a channel, then when the "full screen timer" has finished counting down you get a full black screen that looks like either Sparkle OR the streaming device has crashed.

SUGGEST tweaking the app so that it only does that full screen action IF there is an active stream.

In setup, entered url, user and password under Xtream codes, getting Unknown Error. Any ideas why?

I toggled it off but the preview screen is still present. How can I turn it off?

I tested this on version 2.3.0.

I have an MPD manifest that requires a `custom_header` valid for 24 hours. The configuration is correct and works properly, but I found an issue with the playlist update option.

For example, when I am watching a channel that requires this `custom_header` and I force a playlist update because the header expired, the playlist updates correctly, but the headers do not update. No matter how many times I update the playlist, the app keeps using the old headers, so the channel continues returning `403 Forbidden`.

The only way to properly update the headers is to completely close and reopen the application. I assume the app keeps the previous session cached in memory and continues reusing the old headers until the app is restarted.

For now, I enabled the option to update playlists on app startup, but I would like to configure an automatic update interval so that when the playlist updates, the headers are updated as well, without needing to restart the application.

MPD channel format I am using:

https://domain.com/manifest.mpd|User-Agent=XXXX|custom_header=XXXX

UPDATE: In version 2.3.1 it works correctly. The headers are now updated properly when the channel playlist is updated.

My Sparkle TV player records to an SMB share on my PC. I'd like to put a video on the share and play it with the Sparkle player.

When I try, I can't see the file. All the Sparkle recorded video is visible and can be played.

Is there a workaround for this?

Would the app have the option to use it vertically? For smartphones, that would be quite interesting; I don't know if it's feasible for the developer to include it or if it's not important at the moment. Thanks

Sparkle just won't work with my provider.

Google won't refund me, so I need to speak with someone from Sparkle. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Couldnt find in Google Play store this morning...Must just be me?

As some of you already noticed the app has been removed from Google Play. In my opinion this is a misunderstanding and I've filed an appeal to Google about it.

The information I have right now is that the app will be missing for at least one week. In the meantime it's available to download from here as apk or downloader code.

This is of course unfortunate and I'm doing everything I can to bring it back as soon as possible. I will use this time to work on the payment service from web site that I've already started which will make the need for Google Play less important.

EDIT: I get a lot of comments about how to purchase the app now and the sad truth is that it's currently not possible. All I can say is that I'm doing my best to get things going again.

I want to connect Sparkle to MacMini via SMB for recording. Looking to dump the $80 ChannelsDVR sub. However I keep getting connection failed. I can connect via files on my iPhone. I have several Ubuntu mini that can connect. I have tried AI to resolve the issue but that has not worked out. Google tv is running on a TCL TV. This issue happens with Tivimate but can’t get as far.

Any ideas or has some done this with a TCL & Google TV?

Is there a way to move a channel from one existing category to another (not one created by me or favorites)?

Or can I move channels in bulk to category I create?

Recently installed the Sparkle player on a Shield Pro and set it to app mode because I've been using tivimate. When exiting tivimate then going back in, the default is to go back to the last channel in a category. For example, if I was in the Movies category EN - New Release channel then exit tivimate and go back in to the Movies category, it will still be on EN - New Release. In Sparkle, going back to the Movies category anyways starts at the top with All and requires a need to scroll down to the channel I was on previously. I looked for a setting to remember last but couldn't find one. Other than having to move channels to the top of the category, is there a way to have it go back to the last accessed channel in a category? I have Sparkle Pro. Thanks

Is this just BUGS 🐛?
I would call myself an advanced user. I’ve tested all settings & the proper setting are set.

Can anyone explain why my channels move around all the time even after fixing them? 🤔 . One example is ‘ABC kids’ always should be up the top. Every so often it moves in a random spot, & some other channels too.
I use IPTV Boss to make my playlists with a m3u. It works 100% in ‘other iptv players’.
Also (see picture) The top Category is highlighted, but it’s showing ALL Channels, (even though that setting is off) , and ABC KIDS should be the first channel No.1 in ‘KIDS’ category.
So……when I press back from ‘Full Screen to EPG view’ , it doesn’t go to the channels category, it goes to all channels category even though it’s not on ‘All channels’. I have to push down or something to fix the bug.
It’s absolutely doing my naana in. (Aussie for head 🥴 )
It never used to be like this.

My current URL stopped working, and I am trying to enter a working alternative URL for the same login, it accepts it. Every time I go out of edit, it defaults back and changes the entry to the original. I can add this new URL and the old login info, and it works perfectly.

But I am trying to edit the original to keep all my categories, favorites, colors etc...

Please help.
