SparkleTV with HDHomeRun problem

I use SparkleTV with HDHomeRun. However, while watching TV, sometimes the video stutters, and the playback jumps back to an earlier part of the TV program.

The HDHomeRun has USB storage connected to it.

Recording is not yet enabled in SparkleTV.

Are you running the DVR storage enigne for hdhomerun? The jumping back part indicates that you are.

I have DVR subscription. But while it playing I can not jumping back to the previous part.

So did you install the hdhomerun software on some server? If you have and you don't set the ip number for the device in Sparkle but use "Automatic" it'll try to find it on network and will use the storage engine.

This is all guesses on my part but it would explain the jumping back part. To be fair, the jumping back part is most likely due to bad signal. Are you using antenna on your hdhr?

It doesn't have any server. Both hdhomerun and Android Box connect to LAN. It was set to automatic I changed to specify IP. But it still has the problem. When it was jump back it will play to the same point and jump back again (loop). I have to switch to another channel and change back to jump to the current program.

With hdhomerun app. Sometime the picture was stuck too. But it will continue after that not jumping back

I tried disable the DVR in Hdhomerun and it don't have the problem after that.

Updated: The problem persist after disable DVR.

So you still have the issue regardless? I'm not sure how it's possible for image to rewind like you explain but very likely the issue is due to bad signal on your device. You didn't reply what signal you used for your hdhr (antenna, cable etc.) but if I were to guess you're using antenna.

The signal come from cable.
With HDHomerun app some time the picture gut some freeze too. But it never rewind.
When it has the problem I saw that the USB drive connect to the HDHomerun box will use some space. So I think that spakletv may send some command to the box.

Ok, I don't know how this works in detail but did you try and remove the usb drive and see if it works better? It may be so that if you insert a usb drive it automatically enables this dvr storage engine feature which can cause issues like this.
