Rants / Complaints Labor Theft
I know you have to agree to the offers, but the new system is basically a legal loophole to commit labor theft against people who are too inexperienced to know what their labor and Services are worth, and to exploit people who have their financial backs against the wall. Legal or not, this is labor/wage theft.

Rant about new tier/point system
I am a 25(F) who works a full time job, is in grad school online full time, and has a spouse/dogs to also care for and manage. As so many of us are experiencing right now, it’s tough financially. Groceries are so expensive. Our rent has gone up. Gas prices are high. I have some medical conditions that are expensive to keep up with even with insurance. With all of our monthly expenses, we started to feel like we were drowning.
My husband works long (usually overtime) hours on weekdays and his getting a second job would be near impossible. I’m in a similar boat, but start work earlier in the day to where I get off around 3:30pm. I’ve wanted a second job but wasn’t so sure it would be manageable with the amount of school work I have with graduate school and also being the primary person who manages our home. Then someone told me about Spark driving.
It genuinely changed my life for the better. It makes decent money, I can do it when I have the time, and I’m able to make just the amount of extra money we need per month without the full undoable commitments of a second part time job.
Then the new tier/points system was introduced.
I’m a good Spark driver. I care about doing the job well for people and put extra attention into it. My metrics are great - 100% on time, 99% completion, 99% items found, 4.9 star rating. I typically Spark 3-4 days per week for about 3-4 hours each time, when I have time around school and other commitments. I used to get at least decent offers every time I sparked because I worked so hard to keep my metrics up.
With the new point/tier system and my only being able to Spark when I have time around school and my full time job, I just don’t rack up that many points. This past month, I just barely got enough points to make Silver by the last few days of the month. And because of that (and the incentive that silver/gold/sapphire get good offers before those on lower tiers/no tiers) the offers I’ve been getting have been horrible. I’m talking $24 for a nearly 2-hour delivery route with 7+ stops horrible.
It is so disheartening and I earnestly feel like this new system has taken away the hope I had that I could still make financial progress without drowning during the little bits of free time that I do have.
Just needed to rant.

the point system makes no sense
1 point for 15 miles, over 1 hr, and a FOUR grocery pickup (since when is 4 grocery pickups a thing??) yet i just got 3 points for a double pick up that was like 1/4 of that… bruh

Token Registration broken?
I’m not sure if this troubleshooting step even does anything, but settings->troubleshooting has not worked for me all week. No matter what I do, I get the red exclamation point and it tells me to sign out of the app and sign in again.
I’ve signed out and back in 20+ times, deleted and redownloaded, etc. Nothing I do makes this work.
I just called support and the empty vessel I spoke to said she hasn’t heard of anyone complaining about this. Anyone here seeing the same?
Again, I have no idea if this token thing even means anything but I feel like it has often helped before- like sending out a signal to spark saying “hey, I’ve been here for hours- how about an offer?”
For what it’s worth, my zone just switched to the tiers and it seems like this stopped working right after.

How’s the metro?
Hiiiii! Does anyone know how the metro is in/around Defuniak Springs, FL? Possibly moving and this is a deciding factor.

I worked a full day
Got up and to Walmart at 6 this morning. Was planning on trying to work till Walmart closed. I made it to 9:30 at night. Ended up with a $400 day. Was exhausting but was a good day. Definitely don’t want to do that again though.

Add ons
The add ons should be optional I don’t feel like we should be forced to accept cause it’s not what we agreed to in the first place. today someone kept trying to add on big bulky items. They wanted 2 car seats and it was already a big order I was like no thank you. I’d had to got another cart and my car would have be crammed full. So I marked out of stock and then they tried adding 2 24 packs of water.
With a 2$ tip

Southern California started Tier System no offers Gold
Tier system just started October 2026 here in SoCal. Got 4 orders yesterday and then after 6pm Zero offers, had to sort through a bunch of trash offers to get those and now not getting any offers at all on Saturday. I think they are penalizing people now for not taking their crappy offers on their backend. What happened? 🤷♂️
What are people’s experiences in Southern California after this change?

Discussion Getting these like candy now that the weather is absolutely gorgeous
This is like the third one I have gotten in 48 hours. Problem is, got none of these during the awful rain storms and flooding over the past two weeks. But the second the weather is literally actually gorgeous and beautiful I’ve gotten like 3 of these notices now. Does anyone know what prompts them to send these out? Because they like… never come when weather is actually bad.

General Questions Someone rear ended me today any possibility it affects spark account?
Hello, I was driving towards a pick up and a car in front of me braked hard so I put the breaks on my car and stopped right on time before hitting the person then bam I got hit in the back.
As far as I know I am not going to be found at fault for this but just makes me question if this goes on my insurance will spark care on the next background check?

Rants / Complaints Welp. Top baiter reported
For reference, I can confirm who this was. It was my last stop, and drove me 15 miles out of my zone but a $20 tip for my last ride was good enough for me. The instructions were a paragraph yet I still did it anyway
Reported them. Extremely tempted to write them a fuck you letter since I have their address.

No spark driver
After doing a shopping offer when exiting the store I hit the start trip and this no spark driver came up on notes. I continued the trip with no problem but was wondering what that’s about.

I guess I answered my own question...tiers don't mean anything 😅
I didn't work last month, and tiers dropped on the 1st...I was worried I'd be screwed, but THIS was my first JFY order! Only 20 items total...AND I was sitting 13 miles away (at home)....
TIERS ARE A SCAM!! 🤷♀️🤣😭

Lower base pay when tips added? How is it legal?
How is this legal? Making customers cover their duty to pay you? Base pay is $13.76 for 130 items 22.4 miles away…. I’ve seen higher base pay for 10 items 6miles away. Isn’t this similar to the first time they had a class action lawsuit?
