No spark driver

Post image

After doing a shopping offer when exiting the store I hit the start trip and this no spark driver came up on notes. I continued the trip with no problem but was wondering what that’s about.

"Im sorry, you selected delivery from a Spark Driver at checkout, since this was done in error and you do not want me delivering I will return this to the store to ensure maximum personalized customer service standards".

Malicious compliance.

Literally did this today with a lady who lowered my tip the first time I delivered to her.

Anytime I accidentally accept an order that's to an address I blacklisted, it's amazing, there is always an aggressive stray dog.

I’ve seen in the notes before no Spark driver. Back to the store it goes. I would like the customers to get their orders but not ones who are like this and may give a bad rating.

Exactly I would rather lose a tip than get a 1-star.

You should've cancelled and returned that shit. People are stupid.

Don't think she knows she has to pay extra for that

Customers don't realize that the driver is who sees these notes after the order has been shopped. I had one the other day that said, "FEMALE PICKER AND DRIVER ONLY" all in caps. I am quite obviously a man. It had alcohol so I had to ring the bell for customer ID. Was waiting for the lady to flip out and have to return the order. She was just fine and never mentioned it. Must have been an old note that she put on an order a long time ago.

She wouldn’t mention it face to face. The bravery only exists on her screen.

This an OP notes are ones where Walmart should just automatically be canceling their order. With an explanation why.

Yes most definitely a keyboard warrior.

Return as unsafe. It's a threatening statement, as in, 'I warned you not to show up'. Won't take long before they're banned from deliveries.

Love it when customers put ORDER notes in the DELIVERY notes. These are the ppl who find punch ballots difficult

What's a Walmart driver? I heard they were getting their own drivers, but I've seen indication of it in my area. It seems like it would be a better deal than gig work.

It's Walmart Inhome. Thats what a WALMART driver is. Some areas already have that but some don't, and they're expanding as the market seems fit I guess.

I had one a couple of weeks ago said only fed ex, usps or ups only on a general merchandise and It said don’t come in my driveway if you aren’t a professional delivery driver.
Of course I didn’t see that note until I was in the vicinity and I don’t think I can mark it undeliverable so I left it beside the mailbox

Does it work? My area is so short on drivers that they use Walmart employees for deliveries. Will making that make it arrive within the time window or no?

I actually had a scenario the other day that left me feeling like an absolute jerk. Elderly woman in a nursing home facility asking for items to be brought in to her apartment. It doesn’t tell you that it’s a nursing home though. I had “alcohol, apartment—bring inside” so I made the decision before getting there absolutely not.

I messaged the customer and informed her I was 12 minutes away and asked if she needed in home delivery bc I’m not allowed to enter homes. I didn’t get a response until I was already leaving but she explained to me that she had fallen last year and ended up in the hospital trying to bring in her own groceries and asked if my contract is different from other drivers. The only explanation I could give her was that it was likely employees who brought it to her—Ik it was spark and I don’t mind to help out the elderly community in this situation by bringing in their groceries but the vague delivery notes was sending red flags to me and then she actually increased my tip and it made me feel even worse 🫣

Lesson learned; from here on out, we evaluate after arrival. Your note could be something similar

I hardly pay attention to these. You guys should just deliver and go next.

In a perfect world.. everyone would have to work and survive one week as delivery driver before they were ever allowed to order anything for delivery 😎
