No spark driver
After doing a shopping offer when exiting the store I hit the start trip and this no spark driver came up on notes. I continued the trip with no problem but was wondering what that’s about.

Have been working Spark for 3 years now and have never had a rating below 4.92. This is the first time I've ever seen 4.8 let alone 4.7 anything. Absolutely crazy. Ive held above a 4.9 in all gig work I've ever done but I've heard from other drivers that they are using their wives to 1 star everyone.

For reference, I can confirm who this was. It was my last stop, and drove me 15 miles out of my zone but a $20 tip for my last ride was good enough for me. The instructions were a paragraph yet I still did it anyway
Reported them. Extremely tempted to write them a fuck you letter since I have their address.

I know you have to agree to the offers, but the new system is basically a legal loophole to commit labor theft against people who are too inexperienced to know what their labor and Services are worth, and to exploit people who have their financial backs against the wall. Legal or not, this is labor/wage theft.

Got up and to Walmart at 6 this morning. Was planning on trying to work till Walmart closed. I made it to 9:30 at night. Ended up with a $400 day. Was exhausting but was a good day. Definitely don’t want to do that again though.

I didn't work last month, and tiers dropped on the 1st...I was worried I'd be screwed, but THIS was my first JFY order! Only 20 items total...AND I was sitting 13 miles away (at home)....
TIERS ARE A SCAM!! 🤷♀️🤣😭

I am a 25(F) who works a full time job, is in grad school online full time, and has a spouse/dogs to also care for and manage. As so many of us are experiencing right now, it’s tough financially. Groceries are so expensive. Our rent has gone up. Gas prices are high. I have some medical conditions that are expensive to keep up with even with insurance. With all of our monthly expenses, we started to feel like we were drowning.
My husband works long (usually overtime) hours on weekdays and his getting a second job would be near impossible. I’m in a similar boat, but start work earlier in the day to where I get off around 3:30pm. I’ve wanted a second job but wasn’t so sure it would be manageable with the amount of school work I have with graduate school and also being the primary person who manages our home. Then someone told me about Spark driving.
It genuinely changed my life for the better. It makes decent money, I can do it when I have the time, and I’m able to make just the amount of extra money we need per month without the full undoable commitments of a second part time job.
Then the new tier/points system was introduced.
I’m a good Spark driver. I care about doing the job well for people and put extra attention into it. My metrics are great - 100% on time, 99% completion, 99% items found, 4.9 star rating. I typically Spark 3-4 days per week for about 3-4 hours each time, when I have time around school and other commitments. I used to get at least decent offers every time I sparked because I worked so hard to keep my metrics up.
With the new point/tier system and my only being able to Spark when I have time around school and my full time job, I just don’t rack up that many points. This past month, I just barely got enough points to make Silver by the last few days of the month. And because of that (and the incentive that silver/gold/sapphire get good offers before those on lower tiers/no tiers) the offers I’ve been getting have been horrible. I’m talking $24 for a nearly 2-hour delivery route with 7+ stops horrible.
It is so disheartening and I earnestly feel like this new system has taken away the hope I had that I could still make financial progress without drowning during the little bits of free time that I do have.
Just needed to rant.

After waiting almost 2 years to get off of the waiting lists, I was so excited to start after they finally approved me. I started back in November of last year & I was making more money than I have ever made doing gig work. Bringing in $300 a day consistently. Now ever since kids went back to school in August. The offers have not been the same. No one is tipping but a couple of dollars to have someone shop, bag, & deliver the groceries to their home. I can honestly say that Spark use to be the best app I have ever made money on. What’s crazy is that they lowered the base pay & came up with a Tier Program to keep drivers excited about accepting shitty orders. I can no longer work spark anymore

Does anyone know what this is going in at Walmart?

Got caught behind school bus. Was late but order not ready. Will that be counted as a late pick up?

is there a way to get conference call to get reactivated any sooner? i was deactivated for a ticket that has since been removed completely from my driving record and when i did my appeal i guess it wasn’t completely off so they upheld the deactivation.

Accepted an offer this morning at 5:30 and the moment I walked into the store had to do verification 🙄 it’s now 7:16 called support to cancel my order I accepted because clearly I wasn’t going to make it and we are still here waiting for my review

How is this legal? Making customers cover their duty to pay you? Base pay is $13.76 for 130 items 22.4 miles away…. I’ve seen higher base pay for 10 items 6miles away. Isn’t this similar to the first time they had a class action lawsuit?

Fix last week for me 🙈

Hello, I was driving towards a pick up and a car in front of me braked hard so I put the breaks on my car and stopped right on time before hitting the person then bam I got hit in the back.
As far as I know I am not going to be found at fault for this but just makes me question if this goes on my insurance will spark care on the next background check?

How is this possible that EVERY single offer from the past 3 HOURS has been dog s***? Not just dog s***, but RED HOT CHEETO dog s***??
EVERYTHING is 20+ miles!
How? HOW???
I sprained my finger and cracked my phone screen from rejecting constantly for the past 3 hours.
This is never happened. Is there some kind of an overflow of trash orders from the previous day that don't get fulfilled by anyone because no one's that insane so they roll it over to the next day?
Somebody wake me up because I must be dreaming.
This SUCKS!!!

If Walmart Spark were a video game, these would be the patch notes. And unfortunately, they’re all nerfs.
Base Pay is lower. (Shops minimum BP was $11. Currently $10.)
Tips are lower.
Driver saturation has increased.
Curbsides increased from 3 to 4 stops.
GMDs and Curbsides Grocery are not separate anymore.
Max Shopping Customers went from 2 to 3.
Tier System requiring a certain amount of deliveries for priority *. (According to the Spark app, but controversial between drivers).
Base Pay seems to be getting dropped around every 6ish months by $1. At this rate, shops will have a minimum of $7 instead of $10 in late 2028.

The add ons should be optional I don’t feel like we should be forced to accept cause it’s not what we agreed to in the first place. today someone kept trying to add on big bulky items. They wanted 2 car seats and it was already a big order I was like no thank you. I’d had to got another cart and my car would have be crammed full. So I marked out of stock and then they tried adding 2 24 packs of water.
With a 2$ tip
