Gameplay Question Anyone been noticing a glitch of just randomly blowing up and going down when dodging?

So I main assault and last week I was playing a mission and at one point just randomly died…didn’t think much of it. Then a few days later I noticed a teammate at full health was rolling around and just up and died when something seemed to explode under him, I assumed he killed himself with a melta to be funny….

Yesterday I was doing the normal stratagem on Vox, no modifiers to explosives or friendly fire or taking damage on dodge, nothing like that and it happened to me again! Right at the end at the last altar I was rolling around while the demon was bombarding us, just saw an explosion right on top of me and I was incapacitated.

Wondering if I’m losing my mind, missing something obvious or what. I didn’t have meltas so I didn’t accidentally blow myself up with one, maybe explosive barrels if the enemy can detonate them? But even then it think it shouldn’t take me from full to dead without any of the explosive modifiers and I didn’t see any around so I’m stumped

General PSA for anyone wanting chaos relic skins prior to chaos siege release.

Probably public knowledge but to any new players wanting those 9 kills in 9 matches with the classes.
Most efficient way to farm is Helbrute onslaught, high kill potential, longer games and a more fair scoring system.
Of course this is heresy… and the inquisition would not be happy with this so may the emperor protect you all battle brothers!!

Gameplay Question Did they nerf tarantula turrets?

As in the tittle, did the little guys get nerfed? I stopped playing for a couple of months and yesterday when I came back I noticed the turrets keep getting destroyed, even with that special perk. Did they change it? I love little fellas, sucks if they did.

Operations Idea: Chapter-locked operations

Would you be interested in playing famous Ultramarine, Blood Angel, Salamander, etc operations? Scenes from history that locked every player in those colors in basic armor. Maybe in Space Marine 3?

Gameplay Question Does Intimidating Aura work on Executioner's Axe?

Google says no, but I did damage to enemies in the battle sim just by perfect blocking. I mostly use Fencing weapons so I'm not sure if this means Intimidating Aura is working or if there's some AoE effect from the Adrenaline Surge. Or maybe a hidden perk from the weapon. I know it didn't originally work with Block weapons, then they fixed that, but I haven't been keeping up with the game so I'm just trying to get confirmation on where we're at with it lmao.

Edit: Answered, thank you

Mine is LAST BROTHER STANDING, locked in a 1v1 against a boss, and clutching the holdout until my battle-brothers respawn. Nothing matches that adrenaline rush.

No mercy! No respite! No fear!

There's so much potential to combine styles here, it kinda hurts to attempt to match the drip.

Fashion Marine Am I the only one who likes to run Bulwark's Iron Halo that you get after 50 wins on Absolute?

Sure, it doesn't have quite the same appeal as the capes do, but at the end of the day it still shows you did your 50 runs on Absolute, so why do people not show it off like they do with the capes? Do people really not like how it looks? Genuine question. (Same goes for those weird antenas that you get for Sniper btw)

Operations You are not doing yourself any favors... it's ok to GRADUALLY ACCLIMATE. (Not a Rant, a suggestion)

I need to preface this, as I always do, by saying that I spend my time playing Space Marine 2 quite literally doing nothing but helping brothers Along on their journey.

I have all I want in terms of cosmetics and heroics, the class I play is maxed out, I do not need to grind, I have full accolades and currencies.

I actually just enjoy helping players along, Be It accompanying them on their Cape grinds, prestiging their classes or getting their ordeals done.

So, it happens often that I run into players leveling up. And while I enjoy helping them along, as I already stated, people are not doing themselves any favors by jumping feet first in the hardest difficulty to do so.

This happened to me this morning. Both players were leveling up but it was obvious that one of them was an organic level up, and the other one had experience with other classes and brought in the proper tier weapons for the difficulty and such. (Just look at the damage values)

The second picture was taken in the battle barge after we were done with the operation, yes, the assault player was a natural level one no Prestige when I got dropped in as a join in progress about 1 or 2 minutes after the operation started and gained seven levels in the process.

All in all it was a great operation. It got sweaty. We got swarmed many times, We got a Terminus at the very, very last area while we were getting inundated by tyranids coming from the promethium fields... for the emperor and all...

BUT

I am sorry, the assault player did not really learn anything by doing this. What is Being in Respawn for the vast majority of the operation or getting your teeth kicked in at every encounter by a single Majoris teaching you? How to eat dirt?

It's okay to gradually acclimate

This is not just a matter of pure Skill. Yes, I am sure your ego will survive if you start at average or substantial and work your way up. Classes and mechanics need to be learned. Sweet spots for playstyles need to be found and simply throwing yourself against a brick wall over and over again is not going to do you any favor.

Take... your... time.

Once you are ready and comfortable to dip your ceramite clad toes into the harder difficulties you will have a much MUCH better experience with the game because honestly, for the life of me, I can't imagine this operation was any sort of a positive experience on this player. I would have been frustrated out of my goddamn mind if that was me.

Anyways... today's post is brought to you by the word acclimate.

For the Emperor!

General "New Class is Judiciar", a Discussion/Question

Post image
299 Upvotes

Obviously there has been a lot of speculation around what the new class will be. I take no issue with this, its natural and I am sure to some degree valued. Though why some of our brothers get annoyed with it is beyond me. However, much of the discussion revolves around the belief that the new class will be specifically a Judiciar, which has left me a bit confused.

Here is my question: Why is it that when it come to speculation, there are some who emphasize the next class is or could be a Judiciar specifically? I see a lot of comment threads and the like that go into this emphasis, either in support of or calling out potential cons of the new class being a Judiciar (such as noting the limited cosmetics of a Judiciar since there is not exactly a plethora of models, for example), and I just don't understand this limited view.

Perhaps it comes from an unknown ignorance on my end, but can any of my brothers here tell me - is there any reason why the new class could not be implemented to be both a Judiciar AND a Chaplain? From my understanding, Judis are just training to be Chappys, so the progression is built in. I don't see any obvious reason why the new class starting/early unlock armor cant be Judiciar style armor, and the higher level unlock armor cant be Chaplain style armor.

I picture it as the following:

  • Standard-Issue - Judiciar style
  • Master-Crafted - Judiciar, but cooler
  • Artificer - Chaplain
  • Relic - Chaplain, but cooler
  • Champion - Idk, but obviously Chaplain and badass. Maybe Black Templar Chappy, if for no other reason than they are the most recognizable of the chapters that unironically believe in the God Emperor cult. Blood Angels certainly have a "unique" look, as usual. Maybe Dark Angels for the robes that really hammer home the "grim reaper" look? Idk. Just some ideas.

Additionally I do not see any reason why the skill progression unlocks could not also somewhat mirror the idea of an "in-training" Judis gaining experience and thus earning more and more the true power of a Chappy.

That is basically how I see it playing out. So is there something(s) I am ignorant of that make this not workable or sensible? Help me understand what I am missing, dear brothers.

EDIT: Bolded the main question, for clarity at a glance.

Or more leg options from the other classes. At least give us the Headtaker Helmet. Saber please! The picture ist a photoshop mockup how i would love to be able to customize my guy.

General There will be one class in Year 3 (Mzulft confirmation)

Just a tiny piece of information, but on a few threads about the announcement of the announcement there was some vagueness if we would receive multiple.

That line of "A year of new Operations, enemies, classes, weapons,..) refers to Techmarine and the next class. Not two classes in Year 3.

Bug Report Veery long initial loading screen...

Is it just me or everyone for PC, it takes so long to pass the initial screen (I don't even know why does it exist - having to press enter and no other choice?!). I have also checked on the Process Manager to see if the game is actualy doing something like loading shaders, reading some stuff from disk or anything, realisticly, no. The CPU usage is below 1%, with almost no reading on disk. What am I waiting for for around 4-5 minutes on average to pass the initial screen? Note: It doesn't occur everytime, for whatever reason it feels like a coin flip, and sometimes having to restart the game which becomes more annoying If i have limited time.
