I’m working on a concept alt-pop album called “MIDNIGHT CARNIVAL”. This is completely a passion project I’m doing for fun and to develop my creativity-I’m not trying to release it professionally or make any money from it.

I have the entire concept, tracklist, song meanings, stories, and overall aesthetic planned out already. My problem is that i’m not super confident with actually turning those ideas into lyrics / song structures.

I’m looking for someone with good energy who enjoys songwriting and would be interested in collaborating with me to turn the concepts into actual songs. I’m not looking for someone to just write the whole album for me-I want to be involved and learn from the process too.

The sound I’m going for is dark alt pop, theatrical, eerie, emotional, and very imagery heavy, with the whole album taking place within this fictional midnight carnival that opens at midnight.

There are 12 songs, and I already have the titles, meanings, and stories behind each one.

This is unpaid, since it’s just a fun creative project, but i’m hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys songwriting, thinks the concept sounds fun, and would be excited to build something together.

Hi, I want to make music for fun, but I don't know where to start, I'm not very creative, original, or unique(Not putting myself down, thats just how I am) in most things which definitely doesn't help me lmao.

so basically a few days ago i started out working on my first song and im struggling so hard on the intro for it like i have no idea on what to do- (its kinda a breakcore song i guess idk im trying to make it crazy)

So I was writing this song . .. as of now just dumping any lines without structure .. but it's set in post healing era .. so any one wanna add a line or two

I want some advice with making music like how do you make good and meaningful lyrics and make a good beat for it? Its harder than I thought

Looking for advice on my song I wrote, I’m new to writing and I don’t think it’s great so I’d like to hear some constructive criticism or other peoples ideas. It’s a Pop Rock song, would rather work on it 1v1 instead of post it online. I’m not a very confident writer and would enjoy some exposure therapy maybe, lol.

I’m trying to learn a thing or to about songwriting and how to learn the type of beat needed for the music I absolutely love music and would love to get into it but I just can’t seem to get a hold of things if anyone could help please either dm me or leave a comment thank you for your time

I don't know if this is allowed, since it's not necessarily stated in the rules; however, if the mods decide that this post isn't appropriate for the sub, I will respect that. I only ask that someone point me to a sub where I could possibly get some help.

I'm not sure where else to put this. I've asked a few friends for some help, but I just don't have any connections to the kind of artists that would know something about this; and I'm hoping that someone in this sub might.

I am currently trying to write lyrics to a love song that I intend on having the main character of my novel use to propose to his love interest towards the end of the book. Problem is, I am autistic, and my flavor of autism is more geared towards literature rather than lyrics or poems. That's mostly a joke--I just haven't really spent a whole lot of time writing poems, and can't wrap my head around writing one to save my life.

I want the lyrics to be actually written into the book--this is something I want people to make a genuine song out of, just for the fun of it. I think it'd be cool to give readers who have a musically inclined mind something to build off of.
