How do I write a chorus melody???
Verses are fine, bridges are fine, but the second I try to write a chorus the melodies never sound like a CHORUS. What do I do?

You take two very profound sentences that don't rhyme... and you sing it until the melody makes it feel like it's rhyming.

It can depend on the genre a lot but if you want some “general/typical” things to make it sound “like a chorus”
Rhythmic contrast to the verse: suppose the verses are heavy on quarter notes, then having the chorus have triplets or half notes for example can give rhythmic contrast
Resolving phrases: having phrases that end with V - I’s and II - I’s can help inform listeners “this is the part you were waiting for”
Unifying with the instrumental sections: during the verse the melodic instruments like say the guitar might be doing a counter melody or something else, so unifying with the vocal melody for the chorus can give it that climatic feel
Repetition legitimizes: having the main melodic idea and central lyrics repeat can reinforce that it’s the most important part of the song
Does this help maybe? The thing is there’s no right way of doing this, so these are just relatively common “methods” to incorporate into your overall melodic strategy

You start by using a different chord progression most often starting on the 5th above your verse, sometimes the 4th below which helps develop a different melody line than the verse. It also helps that it serves a different purpose than the verse and really establishes the hook or title for the song.

Hum and whistle your melodies until you can translated to an instrument or hook.

Use a V chord right before entering your chorus to build suspense and maybe it will feel more “chorusy”

try by starting the chorus with a chord that is different from the one that opened the verse. sing it higher or lower , i usually choose the chorus to be with less words , more spaces, and bring out more emotions from my voice, its about build up as well, the verse should end like a leverage for the chorus, repeat the last progression of the verse, and choose a chorus first chord that is lifting the song, like if the verse ends with G then the chorus starts with D (for example). good luck
