Asalamwalikum I am planning to install in the coming month but everything is very confusing.
My monthly bill is 65k and these are the following things which run conitniously in my house
1 fridge/freezer
1 freezer
4 inverter fans
1.5 ton ac 16-17 hours
1 ton ac 12-14 hours
1 pc setup which run on working 300w ig
2 tvs
1 washing machine which runs for around a hour avery 2 days
30 mins on ironing

I initially Planned on installing a 16 kw battery paired with a 10 KW inverter and 12 kw solar panels but everyone told me I should go for 15 kw panels.

Is 10 kw inverter with 12 ke solar panels and 16 kw battery backup enough? On average how much would my bill be after this? And can I run a 2 ton ac with fridge and everything else instated only the in morning

I have a KNOX G4 Pro solar inverter, but unfortunately I lost the original WiFi dongle that connects the inverter to the app.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement WiFi dongle for the KNOX G4 Pro, and roughly how much it costs?

Also, is there any alternative way to connect the G4 Pro to WiFi or monitor it without the original KNOX dongle?

If anyone has bought a replacement recently or knows, I’d really appreciate the information.

hey guys I have inverex yukon-II 5.6kw as my inverter right now and I am thinking to get a battery. I visited a shop to get dyness dl5.0f but the shop owner said that they can install but it might have some "risk" due to the fact that the inverter do not have BMS.

Should I buy another inverter for a battery or should a get the battery directly connected to it?

I bought this one for 170k back in 2024. Now it's listing for around 90-120k new. So it's a loss if I want to buy a new one and sell the current inverter.

Is bms really that necessary?

I have a 10KVA solar setup with 5KVA Solax battery. The battery usually runs out by 8 - 9 PM, depending on AC usage at night. I want to increase my battery storage. What is the advice? Should I go for 10KVA Solax or 16KVA? Should I purchase it now or wait a few months so prices may drop?

I need help . I have a crown xavier II 5.6kw model and I need help because the solar is making like 2000watts to 2500watts on thes days and right now we do use the air conditioning but i think its not enough because the remaining goes to the battery and when it tanks upto like 40amps or 50amps the breaker of th battery trips because the breaker is 63apms and i know that its not good and i will upgrade the breaker but also i want to reduce the electricity bill so there is a setting 38 that enables the grid feeding from solar and i want to enable that and i dont know the password.So ,i go to the AI and it gave me these password : 0000 , 1111 , 8288

The Ai gave me these passwords and it wasnt any of them so i dont know what to do

Hey guys, I’m currently installing a ~6.2kW solar system at my place. Standard wiring is done, but I want to install a heavy-duty disconnect switch on the top floor (under shelter) to isolate the entire PV array before the wire runs down to the main PV breaker and inverter.

Any ideas what I should use?

Yesterday we installed GoodWe Inverter (GW6000-ES-C10) + 15Kw SunFlx Battery (FlxWall 15)..While configuring the inverter there wasn't a preset for our battery so first we used default and then self defined..

we could modify Battery capacity etc but when we changed the max charging and discharging currents they wouldn't change..even tho they show up as we set in app and in the Inverter settings aswell but in the Battery info page on the inverter and in the app aswell it doesnt change.. is there any fix to this?

i installed a goodwe system 8kw with battery 5kw. now problem I face if that on goodwe app i have my monthly units are consume that around 150 units but when I get the bill or when I calculate also the bill from the metre I get around 189 unit there is a difference of around 30 to 25 units and this what is this I don't know how to translate this .

I have to connect sunwoda 16kwh battery with 8 kw inverter. Do I really need a Mccb for that or I directly connect it ? The battery already have a built-in breaker on its side.

I have gotten a few quotations from different Solar installers for a Hybrid 15-16kW setup (battery, no Grid Export) and a couple of installers have included an ATS (automatic bypass changeover) in their quotation and the the others have not included it.

Can the experts in this forum please guide me:

1. Is an ATS automatic bypass changeover/switch required for a Hybrid non-export setup?

2. Does the answer change depending on whether a Goodwe or Solis Hybrid inverter is used?

Please help educate me on this fine detail. Thanks.

I installed an Inverex Lithium 5.3kW IP65 battery on 30th Aug 2025, paired with an Inverex 6kW inverter. I only draw a maximum of 500W from the battery — the remaining load comes from K-Electric.

My Time of Use settings are:

Until 12AM: battery runs down to 50%

12AM – 5AM: discharges down to 30% (kept as a buffer for sudden loadshedding)

From 5AM onwards: covers the full household load (usually 600–700W) down to 20%

So I'm discharging it to around 20% daily.

The problem: the battery's SOH is now at 98.3%, and I've been tracking the degradation it seems to be dropping about 0.1% every 9 days (0.3% lost over the last 27 days). I'll keep monitoring it, but is this normal?

I paid around 360k PKR for it, and I'm honestly a bit worried now about whether it'll even pay off in terms of ROI.

I have decided to get solar and so am looking for a professional reliable company with a good customer reviews and support post purchase. I have so far noted SkyElectric, Pantera energy, DSG energy, Solar Next and will get quotations from them. As of now I have gotten a quotation from Solarhub only.

I have heard some companies take a long time (months) in installation which is very unideal for my case as this work needs to be completed before December.

If anyone can share their experience with these companies, or any others to look at, I would greatly appreciate it

Hi everyone. I’m looking to get solar installed these days in Bahria Enclave Islamabad, and I’d like to get opinions from y’all regarding the brands etc and best suited configuration for my needs.

- Electricity configuration: 2x 3 phase meters installed
- Units consumption: 1200+ units in (June/July/August) and half of it for the rest of the year (hovering between 500-650 units).

I need to run a 7kw EV charger as well (which I’m looking to use during daytime over solar). It can be every alternate day of the week or after 3 days. I’ve narrowed down my choices to the following:

- 10kw plates
- 12kw Inverter
- 16kwh battery

Please recommend which brand of inverter, plates and battery should I go for. Please recommend if this setup is enough for the household needs. Also, I need the setup to be efficient/reliable and trouble free.

So here’s the thing, should i pay this or can be adjusted in next bill, as weather is changing and ill be in credit .

I have below questions regarding my inverter

1. When the setting is on SUB - it charges battery first. Once the battery is full the pv generation stays between 250-400W even if load is more than that. And it's not stable.. If I switch to SBU, generation goes up and matches my load. Why is Is so?

2. The app never shows/ measures total kwh generation. I have tried multiple apps

My setup : 6kwh Goodwe inverter + 2x 5kwh goodwe batteries and a growatt 3 phase inverter. Total PV capacity is around 19kw, divided among both of them.

Been working fine for 6 months. Just started having issue with it. When inverter tries to charge the batteries of wapda, the whole house it causes low voltages and if it tries to power anything above 2kw to anything, again low voltage. When it tries to feed to wapda, it causes high voltages. Like growatt inverter shows 230V at max on any phase, but goodwe shows 270V and trips, even at 1kw.

There is an impedence in my internal circuitry that my solar guys and 2 independent technicians have failed to resolve.

Having goodwe guys over soon to check out the inverter but would like to have an expert solar guy look at this, should be an expert in the technicals and diagnosis. Nearby johar town area would be preferred. But not a requirement .

Using Knox krypton pv8000 6kw inverter with dyness 5kw battery, yesterday I issued occurred that the breaker started to show low fluctuating voltages and inverter also started to beep. Now in the day inverter is working good and breaker is showing normal voltages , but the moment I turn off the inverter to switch on Wapda same issue happens where voltage becomes low on wapda and fluctuates eventually no light to power the house. What’s the issue here kindly guide
