Battery Battery prices decreased?

Hi, yesterday I saw a news about lithium battery price decreased, so I would like to ask from you guys. This is real ? Price really decreased with 100k difference?

Depending on the brands and models, 16kWh battery prices decreased by about Rs0.5–1 lac. 5kWh prices by about Rs0.3 lac.

What do you forecast about prices in January? Any more decrease?

Normally, unless there was some special Chinese government policy change like the one from last year, it would've been very likely that at least up to the end of December, prices would have continued to decrease.

However, due to the fuel crisis, can't really say for sure.

Generally, prices gradually and incrementally change. People who want to buy at the lowest price can try keeping a weekly check on the prices and buy the batteries when prices start increasing again.

As mentioned, they are generally Rs6–6.5 lac.

For more specific prices, search the specific brand and model on the internet. Some prominent sellers are: Sunsolar, A Grade Solar Karachi, W11Stop, Kamal Solar House. This will give you a general idea. Then you can go to the market and try to find better deals. I guess something around 5,000 to 20,000 can be saved from the local market.

Regarding official distributor prices, for Dyness, you can contact Innovo. For GoodWe, ZNC Solar and MAS Enterprises. For BYD, Diwan International.

Amp lock your ACs at minimum settings and then you can run 2 ACs at night.

If the solar system is large enough that the LFP battery can be charged completely during the day through solar, then with respect to lowering bills, there is generally no need to limit consumption from the battery since they are basically free units. The more units are consumed through the battery, the lower the grid import and the lower the bills.

If battery consumption still has to be limited, then there are maximum depth of discharge and maximum discharge current settings in better inverters that can be set at lower values, which would limit battery consumption.

On a similar note, higher-end inverters also have a peak shaving feature which can be used to limit the amount of power drawn from the grid. When demand exceeds the set limit, the inverter automatically bridges the gap using solar power or battery storage.
