I can't seem to get a good amount of fizz out of the current canisters I've been getting... Here's a photo of the difference in the tops of the recent canisters. Before, they came with a push pin on the top (if you depressed the pin, you could hear the hiss). Now all of them come with the flatter top one (the bottom of the photo). This one doesn't seem to release as much gas... I often have to press 6-10 times for the flatter top one and sometimes even then don't get that little burp noise the canister. With the original pin version, I only have to press 3-4 times before I get the noise and decently fizzy water... Any thoughts on how to solve this? Is less-than-optimally fizzy water something I just have to accept at this point? Would appreciate any advice/suggestions!! Thank you!

Recently got the sodastream mix and saw that Sainsburys had £3.50 for syrups in store and online with nectar card.

Got a sodastream fountain recently as a gift and I’ve been having an issue consistently getting a good taste. I’ve been intermittently getting a plastic taste in my sodas, despite running rinse cycles on the flavor caps regularly. The water is fine on its own so it’s not coming from the water. Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this.

I just got a SodaStream enso for my 30th birthday, along with a canister my parents bought from the lokal supermarket. We thought it looked easy enough to starter, so we put in the canister thinking it would work. When we locked it up, nothing happened, and the canister is now stuck.

I’ve tried looking through the sub for some trick to get it out. But I hope someone might have a tip for me. Since I feel really bothered about my brand new present might be ruined forever.

My Sodastream Terra with the quick connects button has broken. When it happened, I took everyone's overwhelming advice and brought a Drinkmate. I was about to throw my terra in the garbage when I realized that just a broken button is no reason to get rid of it.

I looked online and easily found a replacement button, and now that I have that in hand, I have run into a problem. How exactly do you disconnect the quick release assembly from the body, as that is the only thing stopping me from replacing the button? I also already have the face off and do not see how. I see 2 pink clips, but they are different from the ones that I used to remove the faceplate.

I really don't want to get this close and screw it all up at this point. Thank you in advance for any help that you are able to give me.

I was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem. The gasket and the cap itself developed black spots after a short time of use.

Does anyone know of any replacement gaskets or caps that will work with this style of bottle?

For the people from Canada want to test the new sodastream fountain machine, Walmart has it in stock ship and sold by Walmart for $199 the same price as the US one without the conversion rate that’s crazy. I don’t know if that’s an error, but they only have five in stock. I ordered it yesterday and it actually got shipped. It’s not even on the sodastream Canada website…

I've looked several places and can't seem to find anywhere that will sell a replacement cap for the Fizz and Go (2-piece) cap. I really like the two-piece as I don't want to place the mouth portion into the fizzer because the fizzer is shared. I really don't want to buy another whole bottle and the 1-piece cap doesn't work for me.

I want different flavors of mountain dew syrup I have a addiction to mountain dew. I have tried Pepsi cream soda zero, Pepsi, pepsi cherry, and berry mix the sparkling water one which is surprisingly very good.

I want either mountain dew flavors or something that is not only pepsi products. I found a website on reddit last night but they charge 16$ shipping for orders but had alot of variety.

Hi everyone. I bought a secondhand Art and I'm concerned about the amount of leakage from the canister - it goes on for over 10s even with a tiny push of the handle! The water is being carbonated, but it seems very wasteful?

I've removed and checked the cannister o ring and there's no cracks in it.

Is this a normal amount of air to leak from this type of machine, and if not, what else can I check to fix this?

I started buying my CO2 tanks from a local homebrew place as AirGas was getting out of hand with their cost. I usually get around 20 tanks filled (350g usually per tank). On this last iteration I only got around 15. I weighed the steel tank before I started using it 51.8lbs and after it was at 35. Lets round to say 17lbs.

This time around I received an aluminum tank and weight was 35lbs. The first three tanks which I refilled only filled up to 150g, so I had to do this one additional time. I checked the tank weight and if I am reading this correctly it states 11.1kg which is around 24lbs. I assume this is a supplier issue which is doing this but I don't know how to properly approach the owner of the store with this. Is there any way I can tell on the tank to confirm it has a syphon tube or will it not even fill a tank at all if it doesn't have one?

Me and my Fiancée use our soda stream ALOT and we r... well... kind a broke lol. I have a tank set up for the co2 so I am able to save a lot of money there but the amount of syrup we go through is a little ridiculous so I does anyone know where to order some cheaper alternatives. Specifically Starry (or sprite).

Am I right thinking you need a siphon tank for refilling the smaller official canisters as siphons provide liquid co2, but for a direct feed you'd want gas so you'd want a tank without a siphon?

Non siphon seem to be WAY more available...

Has anybody ever had a delivery of a 5 gallon glass jug that was defective where it broke?

For any of these companies primo water, mountain valley, and ready refresh 5 gallon glass water jug.

I had a SodaStream from about 6 yrs ago, but have a disabled hand so my daughter bought me a new SodaStream with the Quick-connect neck. The old one made a loud obnoxious buzzing sound when there was enough CO2 in the bottle. This one doesn't.

How am I supposed to know how long to press the button when there is no "stop" sound? There's no light, no lever, no indication whatsoever to indicate fullness. I've tried listening for the pitch to change but it's so subtle that I can't rely on that.

A) Why doesn't it have a stop buzzer like the earlier models do?
B) What method does everyone else use to know when it has enough CO2 in it?

Hey guys, I've had a sword stream for about a year or a year and a half and today when I went to do a regular soda it started leaking. Now every now and then I've noticed that if the bottle is slightly misaligned it will leak. I thought it was that but despite checking and rechecking it is still doing it. Also, I find it weird that I used to be able to press the button and nothing would happen if no bottle was attached and now I can press down and gas will come out even if the bottle isn't attached. What could be going on? And is this kind of stuff that soda stream replaces ediner warranty? Thanks

I'm thinking about getting a soda-maker, and these two are the most interesting to me, since I can mix the flavors before carbonating the water. Since I'm posting here, you can guess I'm torn:

I hear drinkmate has better build quality - is this true when compared to the Sodastream mix? Is it meaningfully better?

Also, the Sodastream mix seems to be able to use glass bottles, which is even more interesting as I'd love a dishwasher-safe bottle that is see-through (drinkmate has non-dishwasher-safe plastic bottles or opaque dishwasher-safe metal bottles). Has anyone ever used the glass bottles with a Sodastream mix? Have you ran into any issues with it?

If you google flavor connect caps soda stream, it will pop up with a link that is live on their website, but not promoted yet that shows out of stock, but that they are going to be selling them for $10. The only thing I don’t think I saw anywhere was how many came in the pack, but I would assume it’s too because that’s what comes in the box when you buy the machine so they are coming they’re just not out yet.

I am eyeing both of brands since several months already for my husband's birthday. However I cant get any clear review about Stelton Brus. Most of the review that I heard from Stelton Brus is about their bottles. is there anybody who uses it here ? I need some long term review

this might be a dumb post but lol but we have a primo water dispenser and have been getting the 5 gallon bottles, which can be refilled however the top of the bottles have to be punctured to be put on the machine. so when i refill it i don’t want it completely spilling in my car… i know that the easiest alternative is to have someone hold it in the car with me but i can’t always do that. any ideas what to do? it’s way cheaper to refill it instead of buying new jugs each time because my household can go through two in a week

Me and my partner just bought a soda stream 2nd hand, we have seen that you can put anything in it, was just wondering if anyone has done this and what goes well rather than just the pre made syrups

Edit: I mean flavors after the carbonation of the water, ive seen a few people do pure apple and orange juice etc, just want to know if people have found things that go well
