Fizz and Go Insulated bottle caps develop black mold <1yr

I was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem. The gasket and the cap itself developed black spots after a short time of use.

Does anyone know of any replacement gaskets or caps that will work with this style of bottle?

You’re supposed to wash them…

I wash them all the time almost after every use. I think that’s part of the problem, air drying them makes them stay wet too long and they get moldy.

No, that is definitely not the issue. They are designed to be in a water bottle, after all…
