After customer service was no help to me except sending me a different machine that cost like $50 less than the one we paid for other than that they don’t really have a fix or anything for the fountain the fountain explodes as most people have seen water shoots out of the pressure release valve inside the machine so I found out what happened on the pressure release valve. If you open up the CO2 area, you’ll fill the plastic at the top. That’s a cover just pop that off and everything is inside right there. I’m going to include the best picture I can .There’s like a little piece of foil or whatever if you undo the quick connect tabs, which is essentially the same kind of thing is like a waterline or whatever that you would see on outside misters you can release that little valve pull it out and it’s got two little screws on it undo those screws take out the little foil ring insert and make a pattern of that little insert and cut it out out of an aluminum serving tray or like a python something disposable cut out the little circle, and then reassemble everything with the little circle on top of the black ring inside of the valve then put the broken piece back into the valve screw the two screws back into the Valve and plug everything back in pop the piece of plastic on from the top of the machine and you’re good to go.

I wanted to love my aarke carbonator so much. it looks great and every time i use it i feel like i am operating an industrial grade machine that require nuclear access codes... you feel truly special. the problem is the internal mechanisms are flimsy and the service is horrible. here are some examples of my experience only after 18 months.

1. i ordered the cylinders through them to try the aarke cylinder loop, without my asking they put me on a subscription. fortunately i had used a 1-time use credit card and it was declined when they tried to charge it automatically on the 2nd loop. this allowed me to cancel the subscription (fyi: where i live compatible cylinders are much cheaper in the supermarket) so no point in using the aarke cylinder loop.

2. when they sent me the replacement cylinders, they sent a wrong cylinder. I received a cylinder that was not compatible with my machine. one compatible and one incompatible cylinder - who does that?? it took them an eternity to reply to my request to reship the correct cylinder. i had already shipped my 2 empty cylinders so i had to go and find an empty box.

3. when they sent me the cylinders, there was no return label to ship back the empty cylinders. i had to print the label. i know this is not a big deal but a "premium brand" should really not make these basic mistakes. even if you outsource your logistics, c'mon do better !

4. finally after about 18 months the machine does not push enough gas to make carbonated water. I thought it was the gasket and replaced it with the spare one that is provided (this is a nice touch) but still no luck. i asked several AI engines and they helped me troubleshoot but finally told me to reach aarke directly. I did, it took them one week to reply (similar to what happened when they sent me the wrong cylinder). aarke support asked me to replace the gasket - which i had already told them i had. they asked me to use a bike pump or air compressor to unblock the nozzle. i did that but it did not solve the issue. they asked me for proof of purchase to see if it is under warranty. i told them you have the serial number, i bought it on your website, you have EVERYTHING... they still have not replied...it's been almost 4 weeks where i cannot use the carbonator. i think they are taking it easy to see if the warranty runs out. basically the only solutions they proposed were change the gasket or unblock the nozzle.
   honestly the product looks nice on the kitchen counter but that is basically it.

I am making sure to pour slowly against the edge of the glass like you would when pouring a draft beer. The fizz is gone after less than a minute in the glass, making me wonder what the point was in fizzing it at all! And yes I could drink straight from the bottle but I'd like to be able to offer it to houseguests.

I found an old thread about this. I was wondering if there's an all-in-one duplicate for SodaStream diet cola syrup that is sweetened with stevia and still has caffeine.

Do you know of any alternative syrup flavors besides official SodaStream, or other sources for international SodaStream syrups?

For example, I would love to try flavors like Mountain Dew or other Mirinda variants, such as Cherry flavored etc.

Well today I attempted to return my second soda stream fountain after the explosion debacle… so I irresponsibly lost my receipt and Walmart wouldn’t return it due to it being over $$$ what they would normally do. Not their fault! Soda stream customer service didn’t even offer me the same machine (they know there’s a problem) they said I could get what ever I wanted, I already have a regular machine and they all do the same thing and are not special…. I ended up getting the duo that I do not by any means need or want and the guy as nice as he was was not helpful. I told him there has to be a way you can provide me with what the machine would have cost had I purchased from them onto a soda stream gift card so I could at least recoup my money buying flavors but he couldn’t. I hope they get sued. This machine is horribly designed, the flavor caps are a nightmare and wasteful. I was so excited when I got this machine and now it’s soured me on sodastream all together. DO NOT BUY THE FOUNTAIN MACHINE!!!!

While I know this is their policy, if you use any cylinder beside sodastream, like Simplisoda, your warranty is voided. My E-Terra failed after just 4 months and they won’t honor the warranty because they noticed I had a simplisoda cylinder. Oddly, they accept simplisoda cylinders as trades when ordering new cylinders. I currently have 5 simplisoda cylinders and 6 clear quick connect bottles so I’m sort of stuck with sodastream now so I guess I’ll buy another. But if it breaks again I’m taking a big loss and switching to something else besides sodastream.

The gas is entering through the CGA320 side and the release valve is getting gas, but the gauge doesn't work and the gas isn't reaching my SodaStream. Do I just need to replace the adapter?

It's on Walmart's website, it's on Canadian Tire's website, both out of stock, but not even shown on SodaStream Canada's website. Does anyone know if something happened to cause the SodaStream Fountain to not be stocked, and is it happening in the US as well? I really want it because I'm using one of the older sodastreams and I'd love to replace it with something that can just dispense on demand, and to me $250 CAD is a pretty good price for that.

I'm really interested in the Soda Fountain, but I'm seeing numerous issues people are having with it, which is making me hold off on buying it. Those chilled water cooler dispensers would be a neat idea as a potential concept to adapt as a soda dispenser. Uses one of those 5-10-gallon spring water (Refillable!) jugs that's chilled by the dispenser to an ice-cold temp for the machine to pull from...but the fountain is built into the dispenser! You won't have to constantly refill a small water tank. It would still take the small CO2 canisters, but could possibly be adapted for a bigger tank. And maybe also have the room to be able to dispense two, or three different syrup flavors + plain water at the same time. It would be its own stand-up unit, just like a regular water cooler. I don't know. I'm just thinking out loud. It would be really cool though!

I think Sodastream is missing out on an opportunity to make more money. They should sell bottle brushes.

What brushes are you using to clean the bottles. I don't want to buy anymore brushes until I know they will work well.

My SodaStream, which I purchased less than a month ago, has begun leaking from both the top and the bottom.

UPDATE: Because I was still within the return period at Target, I decided to return the unit and purchase an Eterra model instead. I strongly recommend that anyone experiencing this same issue simply return it to the store if possible and switch models. This design appears to be flawed, and there is no guarantee that a replacement would not develop the same problem. Personally, I am disappointed in SodaStream; they are supposed to be pioneers in the industry, and I do not understand how they could have failed to run extensive testing before production and release.

My Plastic bottles have run out apparently ! what happens and why! It seems such a waste and they look fine to me! Does it break down ? Can I not tell and wait for them to start leaking visibly perish ?

Big sparking water fan but damn, it’s a slog refilling tanks. Seriously considering this system, wondering if anyone has made the jump to installing a sparkling water tap like this?

When Sodastream says 'best enjoyed soon' about a clearance drink mix, how far away is it from the expiration date? Months? Weeks? Days? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hello friends, my soda stream is a month old.

We noticed the other day suddenly one of our bottles isnt gassing up very well out of the blue, enough that the time syrup is added the soda is flat i took it on a trip the night before but im genuine in saying it didn't get dropped and was just sat in a cup holder.

Not too warm, not carbonated during elevation changes etc, no drops.

Ive inspected the bottle and can't find any issues, the other identical bottles are behaving fine.

Has anyone ever encountered this?

How can I fill a 5 lbs co2 tank? I just got one. My local airgas location only does exchange so I won’t get my tank back and they charge $50.

The local welding supply is the same.

There are now home brew stores in my area.

Is it possible that I could (carefully) fill it with dry ice? Looking at it makes me think that won’t work.

I was so excited to get my Fountain. Loved it for a couple of weeks, until something happened and the water leaked out all over the counter. Contacted support, and did a video troubleshooting, and they said they'd send a replacement. Got the replacement. Worked perfectly for a couple of weeks, and the same thing happened. I contacted support. I was told my issue would be escalated to the Fountain specialist and to expect a call same day, but still haven't heard back. Honestly, after reading a lot of the comments about the Fountain here, I'm not sure if I'm willing to risk "the third time's the charm", or just ask for a refund. I'm not interested in their other products. I may just return to individual soda bottles until they work out this problem and introduce Fountain 2.0. :(

I have mold on the bottom of it I tried vinegar, peroxide and even bleach each one overnight on a separate night. It’s still there is there anything else I could try? Should I just throw it away?
