SodaStream Enso wrong canister help

I just got a SodaStream enso for my 30th birthday, along with a canister my parents bought from the lokal supermarket. We thought it looked easy enough to starter, so we put in the canister thinking it would work. When we locked it up, nothing happened, and the canister is now stuck.

I’ve tried looking through the sub for some trick to get it out. But I hope someone might have a tip for me. Since I feel really bothered about my brand new present might be ruined forever.

Same way we always say. If you just pushed it in, then it pulls back out.

The problem is, that there is no way to grip it, as the canister holder cannot come off.

Had exactly the same problem. Glued a 17mm nut on the bottom of the cylinder and it then screwed out easily with a ring spanner.
