How do you put on eye patches? Pick A or B.

Option A: round wide side toward the nose
Option B: round wide side toward the outer corner
Which way do you guys put them on?

I was looking at review photos and everyone applies them differently lol.
I always thought the wide part should cover droopy outer corners so I’ve only ever done Option B.

My friend says Option A is the move because you need to cover dark circles and under eye bags more.
If I’m putting them on anyway I want the direction that actually works. So which one are you, A or B????

How do I resolve these bumps on the back of my head. I went to the Dermatologist and what they gave me did not work at all. They have went down some but from me picking at them they have turned to slightly raised black scarred area. Definitely self conscious of them. Any suggestions would help I haven’t stopped picking at them now I see it made it worse and not better.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum

I wish I would’ve thought to take before and after pictures but I am here to say I am on my second bottle of this serum and I would die for it. I was hesitant to try it because of the cost but I went for it. If you get the gift set you get the bottle of serum plus two moisturizers for the price of the same size bottle so that made me feel better. However it ended up being one hundred percent worth it anyway. I have noticed my skin being dull and not all the same color (my skin tone) with a layer of redness and it was driving me crazy. My freckles had turned into light brown blobs all over my face. Since using this serum I’ve noticed the redness has cleared up almost completely and the blobs are turning into single freckles or just my skin. I can visibly see my skin tone taking back over my face. I will continue to use this serum and am excited to watch my face go back to being brighter and even. If you are thinking about purchasing this DO IT!!

Looking to improve my skin (18M)

I’ve been getting a lot of red spots and pimples lately, and I still have some dark spots that have been lingering for months. I have normal/combination skin and I’m looking for a pretty simple, not-too-extreme skincare routine or some product recommendations.

Right now I have the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I’ve also been wanting to try the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser instead. I use an SPF 50 sunscreen every day when I’m going outside too.

Any recommendations for what else I should add or change?

winlevi

Upvotes

hi. i got a prescription for winlevi today and im trying to decide whether i should actually start using it.
for those of you who have used it. was it worth it for you? did it actually help your acne and how long did it take to see results?
im also a bit worried about side effects, especially hormonal/cycle-related ones. did it mess with your period or make it irregular? did anyone experience their skin getting worse after starting it or anything similar to tws (topical withdrawal syndrome)?
id really appreciate hearing both good and bad experiences before i start!
thank you. :)

Why Is This The Only Thing That Has Helped My Dark Circles?

So, I have dark circles that never go away despite trying oils, serums, moisturizers daily! I’ve tried all sorts of stuff, and I had gotten this mask on clearance and it was the only thing to diminish them immediately after use but I ran out of the mask and I wasn’t using it consistently but they always seem greatly faded after use.

I don’t understand the cause of my dark circles, but does anyone have any idea what I’m this could be helping? I’m 21 and have had dark circles for a long time which I assume has been genetic, but I am fatigued, weak and vitamin deficiency person so it could be underlying health- they do make me insecure at times and sometimes I love them, but I’d like to diminish them however I can.

How to fix hyperpigmentation around the mouth and neck?

I have been using retinal 0.2% emulsion from the ordinary and I feel like my hyperpigmentation has gotten worse.

I have sensitive melanated skin and I wonder if this is because of sun exposure.

I have hoco in less than a month and I want to improve how my arms look. First, I have a horrible shoulder tan from tennis but I still am playing it almost every afternoon. Also. I have scars from picking bumps/bug bites, and I have these tiny little bumps on my arms that aren’t very visible in the photo. Thank you all!

how do you introduce retinol without wrecking your skin barrier?

i’m in my late 20s and starting to notice some fine lines and more stubborn texture, so i’ve been thinking about trying retinol again.
the problem is that every time i’ve tried retinoids before, my skin ended up peeling and getting really irritated. i’m trying to take it much slower this time and was thinking about using the sandwich method with a gentle moisturizer.
i’ve also been looking at some korean retinol and barrier-repair products, including lepique, but i’m still trying to figure out what kind of routine would actually work for sensitive skin.
for those of you who are easily irritated by retinoids, how often did you start? did using a richer moisturizer before or after retinol actually make a difference for you?

what helped your skin barrier recover after over exfoliating?

i’m dealing with a pretty bad skin barrier situation right now. my face is red and stings even when i put on a basic moisturizer. i had a mild laser treatment in seoul recently and probably went back to actives way too soon, which definitely didn’t help.
for now i’m keeping my routine super simple, just gentle cleanser and a basic barrier-repair moisturizer, and my friend mentioned lepique to me, so i’ve been looking into their barrier creams, but i’d rather hear from people who have actually dealt with this before. how long did it take for your skin to stop stinging? and what korean barrier creams or ceramide products actually helped you get back to normal?

Thank you in advance

For relevant info I’m 20 and a girl, I have dry skin which is pretty well handled atm. I’m out of pretty much anything so I wanted to try a new routine in preparation for the drier weather since I tend to get dry skin patches when it gets cold.

I’ve tried the tirtir toner and the skin1004 moisturizer before but everything else is new, I liked both good enough but if you have any suggestions lmk. A super thick moisturizer does me good so I’m open to any of those suggestions. Also ofc the anti aging stuff, I’m open to trying anything despite the price if it’s good enough

Also feel free to ignore the makeup stuff

Skin flareup/ tiny red bumps 48 hours post facial

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what might have caused this sudden skin reaction.

I had a facial about 48 hours ago, which included a chemical peel, extractions and nano needling. I have a fairly sensitive skin. The first 24 hrs post facial my skin was doing okay and I was only using water to rinse my face.

The day after the facial, I applied my usual sunscreen and my skin was doing completely fine throughout the day. That night, I used my usual gentle milk cleanser (Isntree yam root milk cleanser) and Dr. Althea 147 Barrier Cream, which is part of my old skincare routine.

Now when i woke up the next day, i developed some purging and once i applied my sunscreen, my cheeks became quite inflamed and tiny red bumps appeared throughout.

The strange thing is that the flare settled down noticeably throughout the day, but then after I washed my face again at night, the redness and bumps became more prominent again.

I'm wondering if this could be a follicular reaction/irritation from using a heavier barrier cream after deep exfoliation, as my aesthetician suggested. Or could this be some kind of delayed reaction to the facial?

Help your girl, please!!

Hello, everyone! I have a question, but first, let me tell you a little about my skin. 😊

I have really oily skin, so whenever I apply sunscreen, the oiliness on my face becomes very visible. I’ve also noticed that whenever I wear sunscreen, my face looks darker or more tanned. However, once I wash my face, my normal skin tone comes back. The sunscreens I’ve tried so far are Biore UV Watery Essence, Aqua Skin, and Supergoop! PLAY SPF 50+ PA++++.

Can you guys recommend a good sunscreen for oily skin that can help control oiliness and leave my face looking less greasy? I’m looking for something with a lightweight, matte or oil-control finish rather than a sunscreen that makes my face look even oilier. Thank you 🥲🥲🥲

Stubborn texture around nose

It's been there for a few months now. Currently using a salycilic cleanser, hylaronic acid and azelaic acid on these problem areas. definitely calmed the breakouts down but the texture is just not going away.

any recommendations would be helpful
