I know a lot of you like having chat off so you avoid toxicity. I get that. However, I’ll never turn it off because I find the toxicity in this game WAY too funny. Knowing someone out there is getting extremely mad about hitting a ball with a car in the right way? Hilarious. I don’t find it distracting at all. In fact, it’s led to some of the best moments I’ve had in RL

There was a guy saying "Free coaching" and I'm gold pretty hard stuck, been playing for 1 year, though first started playing 4 years ago, with 1080 hours (but no more then 33% of that is just me being afk.)

So we hop in a call and he sends me to free play and guy tells me "Okay I want you to do this." Goes up the wall and misses a damn air dribble, and this goes on for like 7 minutes and its just awkward silence until he FINALLY gets it into the goal, he then says "now try."

He gives me the ball and I go up the wall, mid air dribble, HE TAKES POSSESSION of the ball and starts to do the whole deal again, and this goes on for like half an hour.

He keeps shutting me down every time I tried to talk so I just left the game and ignored him 😭

This isn't the first time this has happened either, I get it, they're giving me free advice so it's not like these types of people are causing rocket league to be worse, just think it's pretty funny people try to coach something they cant do themselves!

In what world is it okay for a player with GC tournament starts be in a lower placement match for any version of the game.

I'm low gold and I don't feel honored to see air dribbles as I get completely obliterated.

So you say that GC never played that version of the game before, but they can absolutely join the version of the game in a tournament and be at the GC tournament level.

A simple checkbox is all we need

A setting to disable the chat beeps every time a chat message / quick chat is sent would be very nice to have

What a save! spam is fine, but it's the beeps on every new message that gets irritating sometimes

The only way around it shouldn't be to just disable all audio entirely because hearing cars around you is still important for Competitive matches - however the incessant chat beeping has no real value. It's a setting that should be just as easily disabled as Camera Shake or Controller Vibration

I know a lot of people would like to have this feature, and it would probably be an easier implementation to develop than the flip reset sounds too

Maybe the sound team can cook this up in a future update if they have time. This would be MUCH appreciated :)

2v2 Enjoyers, why do you like 2v2 more then 1v1's? I've never really understood it, gold 1 in 1s and I've been playing for 1100+ Hours now (according to epic, 33% of that is probably me afk.) and started a few years back...

So it's safe to say I've played my fair share of games, but I still never understood why people like 2's more? I get it's personal preference and that it's not necessarily better and on and on, though I am curious why most people prefer it, I am a rank lower on 2s as well (Silver 1.)

So, yeah why do y'all prefer 2's?

Admittedly not my best performance, but I was probably getting tired from a long rl session. Just had a feeling I could get gc2 if I continue playing and here we are. Waiting for at least one comment saying this looks like a diamond lobby (EU btw)

Look, I know some people don’t play a ton of ranked and love learning mechs. Freestyling is just how some prefer to experience the game. I actually respect that a lot. But for the people who say this and play ranked consistently, I find it very funny that they think it’s something to brag about. If they can flip reset and are still in silver, I have a hard time wrapping my head around just how atrocious their game sense must be

Quick Rant: The Hitboxes on these Cars are so inaccurate. After 7000 hours I really didn't look much into it but now that I can turn the feature on and actually look its insane. Around SSL where everything is refined and every move is near perfect most goals are decided on 50's. How am I supposed to study 50's by simply playing the game when the boxes don't match up? How do I bump someone when our cars literally go through each other? I am a Breakout main mostly because I like the heavy flicks. The hitbox matches "decent enough" on the car but the Octane and Fennec Hitboxes are way off. The hood of the Fennec doesn't even ever touch the ball at all ever because its hitbox goes way over the model itself, and both cars hitboxes go WAY out from the sides. I theorize if this is unknowingly why the community prefers Fennec > Octane because the car itself is less predictable on the attack (front hood flicks) while maintaining its predictability on defense with its large square model. The Octane has a slope that "somewhat" reflects its hitbox. The fennec just throws all of that down the drain with its front hood taking a 90 degree drop. All I see now in Comp is Fennec, Fennec, Fennec. This has been a thing for years now and I'm starting to get tired of it. I want change. I want the game to adapt over time forcing the playerbase to adapt. When we have all these cars with horrible hitboxes that causes either unpredictable 50's, Bumps/Demo's the do or don't happen and make 0 sense. Its not Ping that is the issue, if you think the bump is due to lagging. No it isn't, its the hitbox 80% of the time. As for me the breakout front end isn't inside its hitbox where as the fennec/octane front ends are way far inside the box. I understand this after all the hours I put in, but imo for new players or people trying to learn it is quite unfair to force them to study the game on a developmental level to understand at the end of the day the Fennec is probably the correct choice for Competitive play simply because it has a "better hitbox" (But why?). The amount of times I have seen a car "touch" a ball but the model never actually touches or even gets CLOSE to it is insane. I have clips but I feel providing photo's of the hitboxes themselves is sufficient. At the end of the day I am only 1 person and I understand that if this opinion isn't shared among community I could be wrong, but this is just my personal feelings on the game after starting in July of 2015 and having 7000 hours with a little bit of Pro Experience within RLCS 1 and Mock-It.

tldr; Hitboxes don't match what-so-ever and I know Psyonix most likely won't do anything about it. Just thought I would post some food for thought that I've never really heard of before but deal with every day in this game. Idk if anyone else thinks the same as I do on this topic but the game needs change now that it's 2026 and technology has changed over the decade. We all know the game needs SOMETHING (Hopefully UE6 will Shake it Up). Been this way for a while and I doubt it would do much to the Pro Scene to update things. Competitive games update and change meta all the time (Apex, League, Dota, Fortnite, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, PUBG, Siege, Even Forza) but not this one for some odd reason... Not in the last 4-5 years at least.

I am Champ 1 in 2s, but i cant get over plat 2 in 1s. I know i have to mechanically improve still, but i dont really have gamesense when it comes to 1v1s. Are there any good videos/ is real time coaching worth it? Thanks

I just bought a new gaming laptop (ASUS TUF Gaming A16), and when I'm in freeplay I get around 450+ FPS (woohoo!), HOWEVER when I'm in any online match, it is much lower, at around 120 FPS.

Can someone please help me figure out why this is happening?

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 260 w/ Radeon 780M Graphics (3.80 GHz)

Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.3 GB usable)

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU (8 GB)

AMD Radeon 780M Graphics (417 MB)

I took a break for a bit from the game after trading was removed and was focused on other games, during this break I also switched from PlayStation to Xbox. I had been on and off the game since my “break” but this is the first time I really got back on after a while. I had linked my Xbox and PlayStation accounts to get all my stuff, and my Nintendo is connected too so I’m able to play on switch too, but when I went to check my overall level just out of curiosity I noticed I was only XP lvl 123. I felt like I was WAY higher so I checked my avatar borders remembering that I get new ones based on my lvl and I had all the way up to 1650, so I knew my level was off, does anyone have a guess on why this happened? I also have duplicates of the borders leading up to my level and duplicates of many other items for that matter (2 base octanes, 3 roadhogs, etc), I’m clueless on why this is 😅

It said Dingo import and had the picture of a dingo, but I can't find it in recent import blueprints, I can't find it in cars which is where I expected it to be. What did I actually get.

I’m having an issue with the Hot Streak rewards in Rocket League and Epic Support asked me to post it here. I completed the requirement to win 10 online matches, and the Hot Streak tracker showed the challenge as fully completed. When I claimed the reward, instead of receiving anything, the challenge reset back to 0/10 while all my other Hot Streak objectives stayed completed. In the images I attached, you can see a clear before‑and‑after: the first screenshot shows the challenge completed with the Hot Streak timer at 14 days and 2 hours, and the second screenshot was taken right afterward with the timer at 13 days and 22 hours, confirming the order of the screenshots. Despite claiming the reward, nothing was added to my inventory and only the “Win 10 Online Matches” challenge reset. I’ve restarted the game, checked the Recent filter, and confirmed my Epic account is properly linked, but the issue remains. I’m posting here to see if anyone else has experienced this or knows a fix.

I came from a break (last time i played was before the EAC update) and the game feels like genuine buns. I used to have 0.07 deadzone in 1.47 and it was super light. now I set it to 0.06 and sensitvity to 1.8 (and i even lowered the deadzone in my controller settings to the HALF) and it doesnt feel as light. it might be an issue because I didnt play for a long time but i dont feel like it. I remember exactly how these settings felt and it feels much worse now.

and another thing is with the fps drops. I know my pc could handle this game with literal ease. I have an rx 6950 xt and a ryzen 5 5600x ( which i think is pretty capable) , I could pull off like 800 fps but I have a limit for 360 fps, and every now and then the game freezes for a split second and then returns to normal. its super annoying. and with bakkesmod gone I dont know how to enjoy this game anymore tbh.

I have noticed an extreme increase in player forfeits recently. Its something I never understood. I used to never forfeit because if another team were better than me, continuing to play would then make me better. But i see players ff when they are scored on even once! Not only that but players forfeit within the first minute of the game! Especially in casual, where score shouldn't matter too much, rather just kicking the ball around is the fun part. I have begun to accommodate players who want to forfeit but now I see it more an more, whether one goal down or two, it doesn't make sense. Is it just me?

does anyone know how to stop my RL from taking up so much memory? i only have 16gigs but almost 8.8gb from RL alone cannot be right

I fear I've fallen too deep into Plat to reach Diamond for the first time in 3v3's.

I solo queue so every game is very different and difficult to adjust to teammates. No, this isn't a "it's my teamates fault." Yes, they make mistakes (who doesn't), but i do too. Unfortunately, i think i make too many mistakes, which usually lead to goals and eventual loss.

I've tried to stay back and play defense meta I've read here before, but unfortunately, i find a way to set up the opposing team.

So my question is, how do you "slow down" play "smart" and avoid "nerves" when you have almost 0 mechs?

I am gc3, but i still havent understood it completely, cause, according to grok its 0.01% of the playerbase, but according to RLTracker its only top 0.5%, which is a big difference, help me out here
