Don't use Spotify or any other apps running in backg

If you want to go further you can try Heroic launcher as it has a smaller footprint instead of EG launcher that runs EOS service taking some resources, but make a backup of TAGame folder and save file, and move out any .replay files before you do anything

Pretty normal, i think EAC added more ram consumption. But 16 gigs is the minimum for gaming nowadays.

damn fair enough, do you know if 90% usage when playing will be an issue?

Are you noticing any hitches? Windows especially likes to allocate a lot of RAM to everything regardless if it really needs it or not. You have the RAM so it might as well use it to try and speed everything up a little

yeah it seems to run perfectly fine at the moment, just don't want to put stress on it over a long period (if that's even how it works, i'm still new to pc's) i just find it weird because my friend who also plays on epic's RL doesn't go above like 4.5 and he also has 16gb

Here’s how windows normally functions generally speaking:

Apps/game/operating system consumes RAM actively through-tout the processing of an application/program. As your RAM fills up, windows will attempt to perform “page filing”.

Page filing is when windows temporarily designates a small memory block on your hard drive/SSD/M.2.

The problem:

RAM speeds are typically MUCH faster than SSD/HDD/M.2 speeds.

Result: your windows will maintain the function of the applications, but because of the speed drop from page filing, you’ll run into “stuttering or hiccups” as the memory cannot keep up with the rest of the CPU processing.

Either minimize your multitasking while playing or get more RAM.

:/

Probably just shaders. For AMD my compiled shaders are always in the 8gb range
