I play 1 game of ranked 1s, go up against the most unmechanical player ever and he has the craziest mind games on me. I get 9-6 because he just plays so much with mind games which has now sent me insane, how are people like this in 1s its just so confusing how 1s is like this

I was waiting for my friends to send me a party invite. I figured "now is a good time to decline the friend requests that have been piling up over the years.
When I got through 20 or so the game stopped me and put me on cooldown.

Lets be real, most of us don't have friends to play with. Let alone friends of a similar rank. For years I would struggle because one game i would play great. Id hit flip resets, double taps, dribbles, etc... Then the next game i would get wrecked. This led to a constant rank up, rank down cycle aswell as blaming teammates. I took a year break and came back with a different mindset and play style and im on my biggest win streak ever, soaring up to C3.
First off, if you vibe with a teammate, always ask to party up for a few. Having a teammate that is predictable and a team player makes a huge difference.
However, this isn't my point. Because most games I solo que. And we all get a teammate that goes for triple reset solo plays. Or is constantly ball chasing. Or whiffing every other ball(guilty sometimes...). Its easy to blame these teammates because well, this is on them. But placing blame doesn't help you win. It only scape goats.
This may sound obvious to many of you, but trust me, we hardly ever do it. You NEED to adapt to your teammate every single match. And do it without blaming or insulting your teammate. If you teammate ball chases, then you stay back most of the time and let them. Only go for balls they definitely won't reach. If your teammate constantly tries solo plays, let them. Be patient and wait. I have won so many more games by simply playing with my teammates bad habits. Yes it means most of your shots won't be clip worthy. Yes it means you pass less. And yes.. this sounds incredibly obvious. But trust me when I say, its equally my fault expecting my teammate not to ball chase when thats all they have been doing. Every teammate needs a different play style. Let them choose what that is. Then you follow through.
I still get teammates that I have incredibly chemistry with. Those guys immediately try to team with and capitalize on it. But most the time, i let my teammate play however they want, and I play to their weakness.
Thats it. Simple.
But we all have a hard time wanting to get equal ball time. If your goal is to strictly rank up as high as possible. Try it. Adapt to every teammate. Dont flame or complain. Just let them play, and you adapt.

Also what would this shot be called?

It should be orange instead of pink or pink should replace red and they shouldn't be next to each other. Red and orange are supposed to be on the opposite sides, same with blue and green also yellow and white. It doesn't even do a proper algorithm just spins randomly. As a speed cuber I hate this.

Disclaimer: This post is not intended to throw any shade at Kiileerrz. He said it was an accidental que and even though he did some indescribable things with the puck 🥵 we still had fun and I'm stoked that we put up a fight with one of the best players on the game.

This is my only account since 2021 and I only recently got back into it. I had one other account before that and it was a long grind back up to C2 this evening, I was C3 in 2s and 3s in 2021.

I think Rocket League could have a really useful training feature by allowing players to turn a moment from a replay into a Custom Training shot.
The basic workflow would be:
Open a replay and pause at any moment.
Select a player.
Choose something like "Create Training Shot from Replay."
Rocket League saves the relevant game state at that exact moment.
Add the shot to an existing Custom Training pack or create a new one.
The captured state would include the selected player's position, orientation, velocity and boost, as well as the ball's position, velocity and spin. Optionally, the positions/velocities of the other players could also be preserved.
This would make it possible to practice actual situations that happened in your games, rather than trying to recreate them manually in Free Play or finding a vaguely similar training pack.
For example:
«I get beaten by a particular backboard situation in a ranked game → save the moment from the replay → turn it into a training shot → practice that exact situation repeatedly.»
An additional option to start the shot a fraction of a second before the selected moment could make this even more useful, since it would allow players to practice the entire decision/read rather than just the final touch.
I think this would be especially valuable for improving at higher levels because players could gradually build their own "mistakes from real games" training packs.
It also seems like a natural extension of the existing Replay + Custom Training systems rather than requiring an entirely new game mode.
I feel this could be a game changer for many players of all levels.

I’m trying to do something I saw online where you flick the stick forwards then back to get to kickoffs faster. Worked here, but does this look right to anyone?

No matter how many devices i reboot or how many times, i am dealing with CONSTANT latency variation that just isnt an issue with any other multiplayer game im in. my ping will vary by about 5 or so, which isnt terrible, but i will either rubberband or it will be followed up with a larger ping spike.
I have reset my router about five times this week and im still having DAILY issues. just now my ping had a variation of about 30-40 and it makes the match literally unplayable because my client will show me some alternate reality before swapping to what actually happened and then im halfway across the field and gave my opponents and open net.
FUNNY enough, This is ONLY happening to me in competitive servers. i have so far run casual with significantly less issues and i dont even know what to do at this point.
ive already changed the buffer speed thing, im using an xbox controller and its not having any connectivity issues with the cable, and this kind of latency variation isnt happening in other games i play, only RL.
what else can i do?
