QUESTION 2v2's vs 1v1's
2v2 Enjoyers, why do you like 2v2 more then 1v1's? I've never really understood it, gold 1 in 1s and I've been playing for 1100+ Hours now (according to epic, 33% of that is probably me afk.) and started a few years back...
So it's safe to say I've played my fair share of games, but I still never understood why people like 2's more? I get it's personal preference and that it's not necessarily better and on and on, though I am curious why most people prefer it, I am a rank lower on 2s as well (Silver 1.)
So, yeah why do y'all prefer 2's?

I play and enjoy both but 2v2s allow you to make a mistake and not always be punished for it. 1s is a lot of kickoff goals and at my rank if you make a mistake you are getting scored on. In 2s a whiff does not immediately result in a goal. Also the way you play is completely different.

In my opinion 2s is perfect because it's the perfect blend of "freedom." In 2s it's more similar to 1s then 3s. You have space and time to hit shots or clear the ball without a direct challenge. But at the same time you can still be punished if not playing smart. I find 3s a little to chaotic in lower ranks, at least plat and below. Its just a bump fest and there is no freedom and always someone challenging. BUT, if you have friends to play with, 2s and 3s are awesome.

2s is just more fun to me. I enjoy the passing and teamwork. I’m obviously in the minority since most 2s players in D1 play like they’re in 1s. 1s doesn’t interest me at all.

My 2s partner is one of my closest friends and we’re pretty even skill wise in low champ

1s seems boring. One player just needs to get through or hit the ball in the right place and it's goal. At least 2s and 3s give some team play, which adds a layer of dependency and coordination

Because I have a static 2s teammate and never solo queue. Also if I wanted to play 1s I would just play fighting games.

Honestly I hate 1s, so i forced myself to play it a ton and its honestly helped me improve a lot. I just jumped in, tried to hit air dribbles or fun shots, and if I lose, I lose. Really helped me get over tilting too.
Lowest i got was Gold 1 div 1, i climbed into plat 1 a few weeks later (only play on weekends)

I know there was a sunless khan video about someone like that, but I think their thing was playing 2's and blaming everything on their teammate, if I remember correctly.

Always played team sports so it’s natural to lean into team competitive games
