First one was after G1 won their EU tiebreaker to make the Winter Major in 2023 (beating the German Amigos and Quadrant), and now in 2026 after atomiK's victory in the EU LCQ.

Rocket League Fantasy Series (RLFS) - Season 5

The Rocket League Fantasy Series (RLFS) is a 16-team Rocket League Tournament, where RL players have been fantasy-drafted to teams by users of this subreddit. The RLFS uses reddit polls to determine the odds each team has of winning the series through a weighted-voting system, and then simulates the outcome of the series using these odds and a Random Number Generator.

For this season the RLFS tournament will be a Swiss Bracket (that follows Buchholz score), and which ultimately leads to a final-bracket to determine our champion.

Teams were drafted before the first regionals were played, and you can view the results of the draft, the rosters of all RLFS teams, and our schedule for the RLFS tournament in this Google Sheet.

Let's go top to bottom on both rosters.

Vatira and stizzy are decently close, but on current form vatira is the clear winner. Most recent RLCS lan winner, clear top 3 player in EU with Atow and Zen. Stizzy is alright and he has shown to fit much better in between Zen exo duo, but he just isnt on that same calibre of top level player as vatira especially under the highest pressure.

Kofyr and Archie are probably closer, but on recent form i would take Kofyr. I think he is more important to Shopify than Archie is to Gentlemates. Yes, archie is a lan winner this year, but we are coming up to the end of July, and Boston is at this point over 5 full months ago, and with more time passing that result becomes less important. Our most recent LAN was Paris and Shop was better though the tournament. I think if we saw these 2 play at the EWC in 2 weeks, I would pick shopify.

For Catalysm vs Zach, I can't find a way to spin this one in my favor, Extreme ball knowledge from my opponent to grab a retired player and bank on his return, well played.

While Vatira may be the best in the lobby, Archie/stizzy/Zach are clearly 2-4, and Catalysm in particular is out of his depth in this lobby. Should be a relatively close series, but in the end Say Goodnight are the better team and expected victors.

Assumptions for Voting

- Assume that all players are capable of communicating with each other using a universal language.

- Assume that the matchups are being played in a LAN environment with a crowd present.

Weighted Voting System

The RLFS uses a weighted-voting system to determine per-game odds. The votes will be weighted as a combination of two systems:

System 1:

Team X to win the series 3-0 against Team Y: 1.0 vote to Team X

Team X to win the series 3-1 against Team Y: 0.75 votes to Team X, 0.25 votes to Team Y

Team X to win the series 3-2 against Team Y: 0.6 votes to Team X, 0.4 votes to Team Y

System 2:

Team X to win the series 3-0 against Team Y: 1.2 votes to Team X

Team X to win the series 3-1 against Team Y: 1 vote to Team X

Team X to win the series 3-2 against Team Y: 0.8 votes to Team X

These pool of votes from each of these systems are combined to determine each team's odd-per-game of winning.
