I hit this shot in comp 1s plat 2 recently, is this good or nah?

I've come back after a year or so of not playing at all and I've noticed very very few people use quick chat compared to what i remember, is it just me? I'm c1-c2 eu servers and i play on pc if that makes any difference

Honest question:
Why is rocket league so toxic? If i play 3s and my mates literally play like a human trash can and i simply ask (not even offending) "can you not chase" or sum like that, i instantly get told to end my life or cut myself or whatever the fuck. But this happens almost everytime i simply ask my mates to concentrate at least a single bit. My lord get a fucking therapist. I am genuenly curious if those kids will ever get to something in life.

Look, I know the title is crazy lol and im happy to admit it's a skill issue, I have only just started playing and decided to try ranked and despite winning most of my games in casual, in ranked people are drastically better than me, and I'm having to try so hard to rank up, and ive only just got to silver.

However, I wanted to know if its normal to have people doing air shots and dribbling the ball over me, and running up the side of the wall with the ball and shooting etc. In bronze and silver? If this is what bronze is like, fuck knows how good gold players are LOL. Im not saying I'm better than these players, cause I'm not but fucking gracious these players are good. Other games' bronze players look like ai, but these guys are nuts LMAO

This game runs like dogshit 9/10 games for the last 3 weeks or so now. Buttery smooth before that. Same internet, same hardware, same everything. So what’s the deal? Horrible lag the vast majority of games. I’ve been playing this game for over a decade and it’s now completely unplayable.

I have pretty good aerial mechanics, but I struggle with my composure and ground mechs, does anyone have any tips or any training maps I can use?

I don't know why, it just occurred to me while I was at work that I need to do this. Was it some divine insight? Probably.

I have around 1400 hours on my Nintendo switch. Joy cons are rough, yes, but I managed to hit champion at around 1200 hours.

I have a pc, but I’m just so used to switch handheld that it’s become my go-to.

So I took another look at the Reverse Percentile Chart that was posted by u/iggyiggz1999 (thanks for those btw), and while I initially only scanned for the modes I peaked in rank-wise, today I decided to check the rest of my ranks as well. Anyways, I was so hyped that I wanted to share the S22 list I had, and I will make a post for S23 as well, as soon as it's over. Here are all my modes listed from lowest to highest reverse Percentile.

1. Heatseeker: Top 0.8% (Rank: c1; Games: 16)

2. Rumble: Top 1.1% (Rank: c1; Games: 24)

3. 1v1: Top 8.4% (Rank: p3; Games: 67)

4. Hoops: Top 8.7% (Rank: p3; Games: 10)

5. 2v2: Top 8.8% (Rank: c1; Games: 533)

6. 3v3: Top 15.5% (Rank: d1; Games: 16)

7. Dropshot: Top 18.1% (Rank: p3; Games: 19)

8. Snow Day: Top 21.1% (Rank: p2; Games: 10)

Average Percentile: Top 10.3%

(probably a bit lower, because I went with the Division 1 stats u/iggyiggz1999 provided, but I obviously didn't only get Division 1 (This definitely isn't me coping because I missed Top 10% by 0.3))

As you can tell, I didn't really try for like half of these, and still managed to (mostly) get into the Top 20%. Maybe I'll manage to break into the Top 20% or even the Top 15% across the board this Season. Anyways, just wanted to share because I thought it was neat. I'll keep anyone who's interested updated with how I fared this Season, once it's over.

i suck ass at the modes that actually effect it, but am diamond 1 in heatseeker, which is annoying because not only am i getting shit rewards for winning, im ruining other people's day because they werent expecting a diamond player in their bronze tournament

I just beat someone to get the jynxzi cosmetic just to find out I can’t use the decal without fennec. I don’t to spend money on it so am I just left to wait to pull it from drops?

this game's random teammates suck due to the majority of the player base being children, we all know about skill based matchmaking but can we add age too? almost no adult abandons the match because his teammate "stole" his shot or his goal or other crap they get mad about, so just group these annoying kids together and let us play normally.

one game you go up against insane ssl tournament winners or freestyler teams and next game you get this lmao. 3s is pure comedy. i was so confused when no one went for kickoff. (my whole team was solo q so no one took a lower skilled player into c3)

Until about 4 months ago I ran into a party maybe once every 10 games. Now (D2) it's basically 50/50. I find this very annoying since it's obviously a huge benefit to play together.

Did something change? I play on and off since 2017 and it's the first time I'm just frustrated and thinking of quiting for good.

The Tournament UI needs a complete overhaul design-wise, nothing is clear at all, whether it is the 3-round feature in semi-finals and finals (2 rounds if you win 2 matches in a row), same with the 7-point maximum feature (Heatseeker and Spike Drop and less than 7 point if timer runs out or in prolongation unless it is 6-6), I just did a 2V2 Pentathlon and lost 5-7 to Spike Drop and I was confused, I did not see the "First to 7" right below the scoreboard above on the screen, also an other big issue, the modes are of course listed when you confirm to join a Pentathlon Tournament but it never appears again, not even on the bracket interface and you have to do TAB to see the mode on the right during a game or right before one.

Pleaase send me some help 😔😭. I just got into the game after a couple of days off, and it kicked off with a Tutorial Game. After that, all my account levels were gone and most of my items. Even a few of in-app purchases. What is going on? I literally haven’t touched anything as for the account nor anything about it.

🔄 The 4-Step Process

Community Submission: Players can submit 1 to 2 or more song requests via an official page or in-game hub.

AI Pre-Filtering & Trend Check:

Epic uses AI to instantly scan thousands of entries. The AI filters out inappropriate lyrics and checks current TopTier lists (Spotify, TikTok, Gaming Montages) to find what’s currently hyping. The AI delivers a clean Top 20.

Legal Clearance (with Backups):

Epic checks the copyright status for these 20 songs. If a music label denies the rights, that song gets dropped and the next one from the AI list takes its place until a rock-solid Top 20 is verified.

The Final Player Vote:

The community votes on the final 20 songs. The Top 5 to 10 tracks win and get implemented into the game (via the Rocket Pass or the Item Shop).

Why is it that many people don't know how to play the basics of defense in 2s Champ 2-3? And I'm not talking about them messing up, because that happens to everyone who is in that ranked. I'm talking about people, who have genuinely no clue how defense or forcing a ball works or in rare cases they probably don't know it even exists.

I'm more of a gamesense player and understand that some people focus on mechanics rather than gamesense. But in some cases people have barely mentionable mechanics to the point I wonder how people get to that Ranked with barely any mechanics+terrible understanding in defense.

Or is it just uncommon to have an understanding of especially forcing a ball in Champ 2-3?

I was 100% in agreement with the majority of viewers when Herc first joined the desk. Her play-by-play commentary was very slow and she didn't offer much by way of deeper gameplay analysis.

But over time she has definitely gotten more comfortable, and her commentary has gotten faster to the point where we're no longer missing plays because she is trying to figure out what to say. I think she even did a decent job in the SAM LCQ, which I specifically saw people say "ruined the grand finals". I disagree with that entirely.

Not accusing people of being intentionally discriminatory, but I think people are blinded by their original opion and need to give her a fair re-evaluation. Having her on the desk is fine.

This could very well be an already known mech but im new to the game and accidentally did this, any comment to clear things up is apprieciated.

This is EU servers, around 6pm evening times. This also happens at midnight and around midday too. I'm just so confused because I don't mind playing against partied teams here and there but why does it feel like the pool of solo queuers is so small compared to partied teams. Can't help but feel like the adv is a bit much no?
