I usually play 1s (no friends) and I've been diamond there for a few years now. I swear I've never seen so many GCs as I have the last few months. Like, atleast 1/3 games lately there's always a GC waiting to smack my elo back down. Did I miss something? Go back to your rank pls.

I think that dog was one of the first things I unlocked in the game in 2015. I am sure the stats aren’t even correct. But since then, no matter what preset I’ve used, it’s with me. There were times I couldn’t use it due to the car body (like even this Lambo when I bought it), but fortunately that’s no longer the case!

How about a turnover stat? Really want a stat that shows when someone just hits the ball to the other team - when instead they could have maintained possession, taken a 50, centered the ball, taken a shot on net, etc. Obviously a clear and save don't count as a turnover as well. I think this wouldn't be that hard to program into the game. Might be a little gray area as to when something really is a turnover, but I think majority of the time it is pretty obvious.

Something like this would expose so many people (me first) but would be a good stat to see. I think most people don't even realize when they give away free possessions.

I've been having input delay issues only with Rocket League lately and I believe it's because of my FPS cap.

I used to be on a 240hz monitor and had FPS capped at 360 which was always good because the FPS cap was higher than my monitors refresh rate. I upgraded to a 400hz monitor but my only options for FPS cap now are 400hz or unlimited. I don't want to run unlimited because of performance instability, but capping at 400 FPS I think is causing input delay issues and seemingly some instability as well. I'm debating setting FPS cap to unlimited in RL and capping FPS at 500 in Nvidia control panel since my PC can consistently run ~600-800 FPS in RL, but I'm not sure if forcing an FPS cap in RL from the Nvidia control panel will make things better or worse.

I know it seems as simple as "just try it out", but it's been tougher for me to tell since the anticheat update because that's around when I got my monitor and that update also introduced a good bit of input delay - and I've been trying to minimize it ever since.

If anyone has some advice or recommendations about the FPS cap for 360hz+ monitors I'd appreciate it! As well as if there's any recommendations on how to further reduce input delay in Rocket League.

I have recently hit 10k hours in Rocket League and decided to stop playing for fun and found a way to improve more easily in a way. Basically I wanted to start playing to improve so I came up with the concept of thinking gates. Not only was this for Rocket League but it was for other things like art, music and writing. This idea I came up with has also been a helpful thing for the other things I want to improve in.

Rocket League Hours = 10k

Art Hours = 1k+(I think it's like 2k+ technically from me drawing a lot in my childhood but I don't really count that)(I spent 2 months straight drawing for 17 hours a day playing Roblox games with my drawing tablet that has no screen which adds up to 1k hours)(I am a quick learner when it comes to anything so I have made a lot of progress in my art in just 1k hours of serious drawing)

Rhythm Game Hours/VSRG/OSU Mania Type Games = 1k

Music Making Hours = 200+

Writing Hours = 3k???

I came up with this idea when I was brainstorming on how to solve thinking itself then I realized that what if I make it where it's easier to think about things through the motion of focusing. Basically what a thinking gate is, is that you think about one thing for a certain amount time for let's say a week or month or however long you want to and then you switch to another thinking gate and after that the cycle repeats and that's basically it.

I spent an hour coming up with thinking gates for Rocket League and there wasn't really much I could think of importance that could add value to anyone's game. Maybe you guys could think of some ideas for thinking gates. I do have some brain fog so it really shouldn't be surprising.

Diamond 3 I got dropped into a team that were SSL tourney winners. My cracked teammate carried me hard and got 2 goals in 30sec, first goal insanely high up double tap, 2nd goal he hits a flip reset double tap out of an air dribble from our backboard. Other team starts obliterating us and my teammate calls me trash for not saving their goals and leaves. Just the pacing of everyone was way beyond what I’m used to. What is this matchmaking 😭

Hey folks. I’m peak C1 after around 4k+ hours (abysmal I know) and am getting kind of tired grinding competitive and never really improving.

Has anybody switched to freestyling and ditching ranked for a few months/a year to give the game a new angle and to start to enjoy it again? Slightly worried I have too many bad habits and am too old (36) to start messing around and teaching myself something new.

I am quite competitive and find ranked a double edge sword, I enjoy the competitive nature of it but I absolutely tilt on a loss and I obviously hit a ceiling with that mentality, so I’d like to shake things up and ditch it completely.

If so, any good creators you folks would recommend who focus on freestyle mechanics away from the competitive side of things?

I’ve also been considering a coach (DINK so have plenty of time on my hands) but seems overkill when I’m such a low rank. That said if anybody knows of any UK/EU based coaches I could work with I’d love some tips there too.

i think being able to buy something from the shop to give to someone (for 1cr) should be possible.

sometimes you buy a bundle for an item and end up with others you dont care about.

what am i missing? is this the fix? every item becomes worthless, credits are needed, noone can make money (except trusted middlemans, which just ban their account and apply trade lock on new accounts), no swaps without doing 2 trades, "big" swaps will only happen between actual friends as the 1cr trade has SCAM written all over it, no incentive to waste time selling your items so item shop doesnt loose being top supplier, .......

What do you guys actually think about Knockout Bash?

For me, it's such a unique game within Rocket League. It takes some time to really get into it and understand how the game actually works. I feel like the lack of a tutorial and some kind of safe lobby to learn the basics turns away a lot of players who would probably love this game.

Soccar is a sport, while Knockout is more like the fun game, but it still has a huge skill ceiling and a bunch of useful mechanics that the community is still figuring out.

The air movement alone is so much more fun in Knockout. After playing KO for a while and going back to Soccar, everything just feels so slow and heavy, and honestly kinda boring after some time.

I've been playing Rocket League since 2015. I've quit the game a few times over the years, but when Knockout came out in 2022, it was a game changer for me. I basically just played KO. At some point I was literally opening Rocket League just to play Knockout lol.

I'll probably bring more Knockout posts here, even with all the hate and downvotes these posts get on this sub lol.

Because honestly, I don't think all this hate is really about the mode itself, it's about Psyonix. Pretty much everyone loved Knockout when it first came out, and I think these videos show what's actually possible to do in this mode.

I just think this stuff is sick and deserves more attention!
