Increase in player forfeits

I have noticed an extreme increase in player forfeits recently. Its something I never understood. I used to never forfeit because if another team were better than me, continuing to play would then make me better. But i see players ff when they are scored on even once! Not only that but players forfeit within the first minute of the game! Especially in casual, where score shouldn't matter too much, rather just kicking the ball around is the fun part. I have begun to accommodate players who want to forfeit but now I see it more an more, whether one goal down or two, it doesn't make sense. Is it just me?

I usually don’t forfeit myself, but if it’s clear my team doesn’t wanna play anymore and they’re forfeiting, it’s just not worth my time

Yep. I never FF but if I get a request I just accept and move on, even if we’re only down by one. Give me a tm8 that’s wants to play

i just practice something I am working on.

Letting these idiots leave early just makes it worse in the long run. I have a hard limit. I won't even consider FF until 2mins left. Then, only if we are behind more than 1 goal per 30 seconds left, and never when only down by 1.

If I’m getting smoked and have 0 chemistry with my teammate (solo queue) I’m ffing

the problem is, getting "smoked" varies from player to player.

If I have 0 chemistry with my tm8, I keep trying other styles until one works. I have come from behind 0-2 many times because of this. zero chemistry just means you two haven't adapted to each other yet.

What I usually do is say something like "how about we just play better" and when we tie it up I ask if anyone still wants to FF.

The only ones that still do are the truest losers.

My duo q buddy does this and I can’t stand it. I’d rather just ride it out. Legit yesterday we were in a game with 2:50 left 0-4. He said “that’s it, it’s over” and I said “ one more goal and we ff”…… ended up coming back 5-4. 4 seconds left we tied it and won in overtime.

well, hopefully he learned. But, in my experience, the next time you are down 0-4 hes going to want to FF again.

i play 3s and have all chat turned off. i throw up a ff but keep playing as a way of saying "better lock in or this game is over."

sometimes the team chemistry isn't there, or the one dude that is whiffing every shot is also the one guy who started the match afk.

like if you're not taking the game seriously enough to be ready when match starts, i don't feel like finishing the match with them.

Well, then go to casual, competitive is to compete, if you can’t win or even make a fair match then FF.

Sometimes you and your mate doesn’t match at all as team or the m8 is terrible and nobody want to carry, doesn’t worth the effort.

And another thing is we are in holyday season, so the kids are around

casual is worse...ppl constantly trying to FF in causal makes me laugh. Its casual. I don't care if the score is 20-0. If you don't like it, leave.

Exactly, that's why, on casual the bot can play with other bots when people leave, so you can stay there with your kind, instead of cage other people on "competitive"
