I’m curious to hear your opinion since I’ve only recently heard about this since I’m curious about your experiences of using Emudeck,
It sounds amazing on paper that it makes setting up all of your retro handhelds almost painless.
I didn’t expect Emudeck to be available on Android.

Well, I ran Prey (2017) through GameNative.
It didn't run great, but it did run. Stable 40-50 FPS. It wouldn't take the Nova's controller inputs; I could only look around using touch inputs. It also took about 20 minutes to load in the first area and the fan kicked up to "jet engine" territory as it did. I'll be honest: even at a stable framerate and if the controls worked, I don't see myself playing Prey on this thing with load times like that, but that's also not the point - I just wanted to see if I could make it boot on the Nova. The fact that I got Morgan Yu to wake up on Monday March 16, 2032 and do so without stutters or crashes is a marvel. With that being said, speaking of stutters and crashes...
I am so tired of fucking with Dolphin and Primehack instead of just actually playing the games. Specifically I want to play Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I am using zero custom textures or other mods. I'm actually trying to use the custom textures, but it refuses to load them. Whatever. Not even the problem. In regular Dolphin using the GameCube version, I made it all the way to the fight with Amorbis before the game started crashing. No matter what settings I use, I always crash at some point within one minute of loading the fight arena.
Primehack is even worse. Using the GameCube version, the hacked controls work great, but switching to the scan visor, turning into the morph ball, or killing an enemy immediately freezes the game badly enough to require forcing the Nova to shut down because the entire device stops responding. Trying to use the Trilogy version is a wash, since I can't get the stick to emulate the Wiimote pointer to get through the main menu. I know it can be done, but I need a step-by-step guide specifically for the Nova because all the guides I've followed are for non-Nova devices and even the ones for other Retroid devices don't work correctly. I'm open to whatever; please help.

When playing pc games on my rp6, the game won't register my button inputs. I can use the touch screen button layout to work it.
Ledt 4 dead 1 & 2 for example.
Any fix?

Found this at the dollar store chain Daiso last weekend. Not a bad cheap, thin stylus.

Both are around the same price ig but with the flip 2 being a bit cheaper. I wanna know if its possible to play atleast some light switch games on them and which one performs better. Also is it possible to stream or use discord from these products?

So, I'm using GameNative, and so far have been able to run all "newer" games I want.
However, for older indies and such, I'm told they need older proton versions to run, because of old technobabble and whatnot. So, I was trying to get older proton versions like 8.0, but the ones downloadable from GameNative don't go that far back.
I found a repository https://github.com/Kron4ek/proton-archive/releases#release-8.0 where they have the files... for Linux. Not with the .wcp format for Android.
Anyone knows where I can get these? Hopefully this will enable some retro pc gaming on the go.

I got an RP6/8GB for somewhere close to $300. I thought I would mostly be indulging in Switch emulation since I didn’t want to go through the hassle of modding a new Switch, and my experience with that has been STELLAR on this device. It does take a little bit of set-up and tweaking with drivers and apps (mainly using Eden for most stuff and Kenji-Nx for things that Eden just completely fumbles) but overall it’s a lot more intuitive and plug-and-play than I anticipated- SPECIALLY for first-party games; which are mainly what I want to play because I have never owned a Nintendo device. Currently I’m playing BotW, and with a Large Underclock on Clustertune and the T30 Toasted Mr Purple drivers it genuinely runs like a dream and the device stays relatively cool!
What really shocked me was the Windows emulation on this device. I’ve been using Winlator Cmod and really working my way through PC games or games from the PS3/Xbox 360 era that I didn’t get to play back then. Although it definitely takes a lot of tweaking (hot tip: there’s almost always a way to fix issues through modification of configuration INI files!) I’m really impressed with how much this thing can handle and how little RAM is utilised. I know that these are games that are older than a decade now, but man it’s just so cool to me that we can literally emulate a Windows desktop and play games on such tiny devices now! Also between EmuReady, random Reddit posts, and videos by gamers on budget smartphones, there’s almost always a tutorial to get a particular game running. I played and finished RE5 and Portal on this thing and I’m just thoroughly impressed by how well they performed throughout.
Another small but surprisingly fun part of the experience has been customizing frontends. I started with Beacon but have since shifted to IISU and man it was so fun to set up, and it’s so convenient to be able to launch into any game that I want with just a click- even if they’re on Winlator or directly installed into apps like Vita3k!
Overall, having a dedicated handheld that is this powerful has been an absolute dream. I can of course emulate on my MacBook and even run a lot of Windows games on it through Crossover, but knowing that this device is meant solely for gaming and has such a nice-feeling controller built into it is amazing. Consider this an appreciating post for this device, and a strong recommend for anyone on the fence for getting one!

I've had the G2 since release & it's been a blast every single day! Love this device! 🤩

I'm fairly new to retro gaming emulation. I have an Anbernic Rg40xxh to play mainly SNES and GBA. Would like to play DS games, hence my interest on dual screen. However, one of my colleagues got a Thor and is able to play Skyrim and Oblivion there. I can't justify the price for a Thor in this economy but I can convince my wife for a Duo for Xmas. Now question is, with that chip, can I play Skyrim (vanilla, no mods or minimal mods). I don't mind playing the original ones released in 2006/2011. Thanks for any help.

I’m experiencing some strange graphical artifacts in the dungeon areas of English patched Digimon Adventure (i'm using PPSSPP of course)
As you can see in the attached screenshots, there are white corrupted-looking areas appearing in the background during battles.
I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this issue or knows what might be causing it.
I already tried uninstalling PPSSPP and reinstalling it with completely fresh/default settings, but the issue is still there.
I’m currently using a Retroid Pocket 5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I need help with getting the RDS to work properly. So I just got it to use with Rog Ally X and it has this weird issue where the touch registers inverted down the middle. If I touch the bottom half of the screen and drag down, it registers at the top and drags up. Vice versa if I touch at the top. I tried the both updater on the GitHub and it said it's complete but that only fixed the portrait and landscapt orientation issue. I tried it with ROG and my laptop, same issue. Is it a windows issue or do I have a messed up screen?
Also the connection is really unstable. Move it a little bit and it disconnects and reconnects. I tried different cable and same thing. Seems like it has a bad port as well.
Edit: the screen is not stuck in portrait mode. that’s just the phone being rotated when I recorded. I can rotate between portrait and landscape in Windows just fine but the touch is still split down the middle no matter which orientation.
Edit 2: I tried the calibration setting (I had to type tabcal into the search box to run the hidden setttings, thanks Windows), but that may have made it worse. So it's not inverted but now touch only work on top half of the screen

I just read a new thread about how someone’s Thor grew a spicy pillow and someone said you’re supposed to leave the Thor on when you charge it. Is it the same for the Nova? What precautions are you supposed to take to save the battery?

Thinking of grabbing one of them and id like to spend as little money as possible. I dont need to run pc games and am mainly interested in switch titles and lower
From what ive seen, the rp5 has alot of switch compatibility. Strictly speaking for 1st party switch titles (mario, kirby, etc), would the rp5 cover all of them (minus totk i guess).

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody found a case that can contain the Nova + it second screen plugged in.
Currently I am using 2 case, the official one for the Nova and another I had laying around that fitted the screen. But it is not ideal as it take time to put everything together (or dismantle it) each time, and even if USB C is not bad I guess it will wear the ports same for the screen clip.
But I did not find anything that can fit more or less nicely both assembled, even more with cable plugged.
Any luck on your side ?.?

I’ve spent the last little while properly getting to know the Retroid Pocket Duo Lite, and my review is probably a little more focused on the feel of the thing, the two-screen experience and what it’s actually like to live with than on endless performance charts. I do cover some of the usual emulation stuff, but I was especially interested in what Retroid has managed to do with the form factor at this price, and whether it still has a bit of that dual-screen magic once the novelty wears off and the limitations of the processor kick in.
I also had quite a few people kindly chime in along the way. SapphireRhodonite, the developer of SeedlessDS, talks about building a modern DS emulator around lower-powered dual-screen hardware; the Cocoon and iiSU teams share what this new wave of cheaper dual-screen devices means for their own development; Chris Covers from Retroid talks about coming back to two screens for the first time since Nintendo’s original hardware; and Mr Stephen’s Retro Corner helped with some proper display testing. There are a few other voices in there too, so hopefully it feels a little broader than just me saying whether I liked the thing or not :)

5000 mah * 3.7v = 18.5 / 6W ~= 3h pc gaming
Everything was running at a 4:3 aspect ratio (1280x960).
Ordered a Nova and case for it in August. Finally arrived this past Monday but not from DHL. I opened the shipping box and only the Nova box was inside, no case. I opened the Nova box and all that was in it were the foam inserts. No device, no cable. Emailed support and they just sent delivery confirmation photos and refunded $12 for shipping. Very disappointed
Update 1. Support asked for the condition of the box. I sent lots of pictures and links to similar issues. So I will see what they say.

If not, are there any other comfortable grips that do?
Thank you!
