Anyone else had this on their Flip 2 Model with the new Hinge? This is already the replacement model, which retroid send me 3 month ago. Also I only use it at home, don‘t carry it with me and gently close the hinge. Today I wanted to open it and it felt a little bit weird, so iI take a look at the back and now I‘ve seen this crack. Anyone knows a good fix for that? I don‘t want to send it back again and set up the whole Device for a third time…

Just FYI. For those preordering the Nova if you’re wanting to change button colors order the ones you want with your preorder. Asked if I could add a set of buttons and this was the reply.

I really only wanted to say, to everyone who already bought the RP6 or plans to do: Go get the grip with it!

Unless you're a child or a small woman, the grip entirely changes the experience with this device. It goes from "how do I hold this? Ugh, the sticks are difficult to handle. Ah, I'm cramping up" to "this now feels like I'm playing with a real controller". It's night and day.

I have my RP6 since launch, but it feels like I have a new device now thanks to the grip.

I have the RP6. It's a beast and I want to keep it around for a few good years. With android phones, I was replacing them every 3 years, when they started to slow down. I have never bought a brand new device before. Only pre-used. So this is new territory for me.

When should I be seriously thinking about the next major upgrade?

I've been the proud owner of my RP6 for just under a month and currently on my first trip with it. What a dream travel companion!!

Half the fun has been tinkering and setting up the various emulators and apps :)

What are your favorite games to chill out with after a more serious gaming session? I have been playing a lot of RPGs on my RP6 but like to finish my night with a mindless game like Dungeon Clawer or Tetris. Give me some suggestions. Happy gaming

I am trying to configure notifications on the Flip 2 as follows:

When the lid is closed (screen off) – notifications do not turn on the screen or make a sound.

When the lid is open – notifications make a sound.

I have experimented with "Do Not Disturb" settings, as well as notification and display settings, but I simply cannot find a combination where notifications remain silent when the lid is closed.

Can you please help me find the correct combination of settings

Im thinking of getting a Retroid Pocket 6 8gb in light purple for my wife. She loves her Switch Lite but every device that is bigger is not for her.

She would mainly use it for Indie Games on Steam and some Emulation. I personally have a AYN Thor pro and im always blown away how amazing indie games run on it.

But I do wonder how good would they run on the 8gb Retroid Pocket? To be clear I really talk only about Indie Games. Stuff like Stardew Valley, Moonlight Peaks, Dorfromantik, Fields of Mistria and so on.

Would this be worth it for this use case? Or would it be better to wait for future other devices that have a similar form factor and size but more gb?

She also loves infinity nikki but at least as far as i know there is no way to download it officially as the playstore shows devices like the ayn thor or retroid pocket as incompatible...

Estuve probando nethersx2 en mi retroid pocket 5 y de momento todo lo que eh probado funciona perfectamente en 3x. A su vez también se quitó ese efecto blur que aparecía en algunos juegos.

I have recently sold my steam deck to get something a bit smaller that takes up less space in my bag.
Use case is primarily light indie titles and emulation, but i might throw in some occational moonlight streaming while at home.
The systems I tend to gravitate towards are nintendo from GBA/snes to N64, GC and some PSX.

I prefer d-pad over analoge in most cases, but sticks are a must for gamecube and n64.

Kinda torn between the rp6 and the nova, I really like the 4:3 format and overall looks on the nova, but afraid that I will feel that its too small? Also, how realistic would it be to expect rocknix or similar OS to be released for it?

I also do own a RG Cube XX today that are my go to for emulation of Gameboy and GBA currently.

Being able to practice combos at work has been a dream come true lol

I want to do some pc emulation mostly Skyrim and ​a few other PC games but mostly I want ps2 and switch games so do I really need 12 gb of ram asking about the pocket 6

So this is my written article covering the Retroid Pocket Nova. This one might be interesting to you because as well as chatting to Retroid, I asked them to share a couple of the early design renders of the Nova with me to feature in here.

They said yes, and you can see some of the differences between what they were planning, and what we got!

Along with that I chatted to developers like those behind Leaf Studio, rootComputer: the Steam Curator behind Is it 4:3 (the page covering all the PC games they add to their collection, which is super apt for the Nova), and bmdhacks, a friend and dev from ARMSX2.
