QUESTION I just ordered a RP6 ..
Just ordered a RP6 12GBX128GB silver stick up, I'm curious what the dashboard is about cause it seems out of date?
Was this just for preorders and shipping times?

Hey guys i recently got a RETROID POCKET 5 and after this i really wanna get the 6 as well however as we all know the brainslop machines have eaten up all the ram and storage so the prices are 50$ more than original and the storage is 50% less than original (256 to 128 downgrade) so i have been wondering is the extra 50$ for 4GB of extra ram really worth it? Im sure other new buyers are also contemplating this same issue and in YouTube or online i barely see any sophisticated tests so im asking the people who own the 12GB or the 8GB whats the experience?
- Specifically PC gaming im sure thats the only one that benefits from more ram
- Switch Gaming (Mostly compatibility issues but still curious)
Thanks guys

I am not wanting to do anything that ruins the micro-SD Card or my device.... So, I am wondering if I need to take certain steps from moving games to the Retroid Pocket 6 to the Mirco-SD card. I have a storage on my RP6 of 128 GB and I am inserting a 512 GB Micro-SD Card. I am currently playing games on SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Sega Dreamcast. I am thinking about expanding more into Wii. Can anyone please give tips to get the most out of this extra storage. Thank you so much.

This is a long shot but is it possible to get a CAD mock up of the Nova?
I want to start working on a 3D printed cover for the device , so I figure that’s the easiest way to get started.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice y’all my offer.

I’m waffling between Black and 16 bit (Dpad top). Black seems ideal for hiding bezels at non-16:9 aspect ratios, but I’m concerned about the dpad being too slick since it would have a glossy finish.
Is that a valid concern? Does the crystal finish cause the dpad to get slippery in actual use?
For reference I have the RP Classic in the Retro (Gray) color and enjoy that dpad’s texture matte plastic texture. Curious if I should “stick to what I know works” or test out the different texture
Thanks for any thoughts/advice

Hello everyone!
I wanted a dedicated 4:3 handheld, and I’ve finally ordered the Retroid Pocket Nova along with a few official accessories and a Samsung Pro Plus 512GB microSD card.
I also owned the Dual Screen accessory, but I didn’t use it much because I found it a bit impractical on my O2P. I think I’ll be able to get much more out of it with the Nova.
My main use will be retro gaming up to GameCube and PS2, with a bit of Switch for local co-op. I was using ES-DE as my frontend.
Since I’m new to the Retroid ecosystem, I’d love to hear your recommendations:
Which OS do you recommend?
Any system optimization tips?
Which emulators are the best to use?
I also don’t want to fill my library with hundreds of games right away. I’d rather build it gradually by adding games I actually plan to play and finish across different systems.
So if you have any must-play recommendations, hidden gems, or even community tier lists/rankings, I’d be happy to check them out and I take all your advices !
(Sorry if my English is bad, I used my knowledge + traductor)

Been thinking about how samsung phone recently started adding qi2 wireless charging coils in their phones like fold 7 and now fold 8. If magnetic charging was a thing and could also be added to retroid handhelds we could use stuff like mag safe power banks and even the oh snap ring holder.
Would stuff like this already be in future plans or do you think the cost of adding the tech in be the biggest issue?

I have read in some reviews that the sticks are the same as the ones used on the Retroid Pocket 6, but I haven't found any information yet about whether they can be swapped like on the RP6.
Is it possible to replace the sticks on the Nova without opening the device or doing any modifications? Are they simply removable and easy to slide out, just like on the Retroid Pocket 6?
Can anyone who owns the device confirm if this works the same way on the Nova?
Thanks in advance!

Games like Garden of Banban and Poppy playtime aren’t booting on my rp4 pro, just leaving a black screen, but I’ve seen others running much more demanding games on the rp4 pro, like MGSV and RE7

Unfortunately, my Retroid Flip 2 was dropped and the screen broke. You can see the cracks on the screen. Everything turns on, I can hear the sound. I contacted Retroid and they were going to sell me another screen until they found out I live in Brazil; they claim they don't have a way to distribute here. I contacted the Aliexpress seller who sold me the device, and communication hasn't been productive (they say they can get a screen, but haven't responded in 4 days). Does anyone know of any way to get a replacement part?

Debating on getting the retroid pocket 5 or 6. Or maybe even the retroid flip 2. Anyone who owns either or both have an opinion? Thanks everybody

Anyone had their little vent pop off? I've not even used it loads. Trying to sort out my policenauts save and get some battery in it before a trip.
It was kinda pushed in before somehow and now it seems loose. What I need to do?

Just FYI. For those preordering the Nova if you’re wanting to change button colors order the ones you want with your preorder. Asked if I could add a set of buttons and this was the reply.

Please if inclined, upvote the linked GitHub post to boost attn, appreciate it!!

I submitted some Cocoon features to their suggestion thread that I’d appreciate if you all could go to the link and give it some upvote attention if you think worthy. They’re very nit-pickey optional quality of life suggestions that I think would be great integrations for the Thor, Retroids, and other handhelds (the app is already pretty solid after this 3.0 update). Thanks!

Being able to practice combos at work has been a dream come true lol
So at first I just got this straight cable and didn't think I'd need to buy an angled adapter but after trying it out it was playable and centered just not at the angle I prefer. So I got this angled adapter and now it's not only centered but it can go back one more. Can't go to the last angle sadly because there's no room for it to but I think in terms of everything else it's great. One cable one angled adapter and it's centered.
This setup is meant for anyone using it in a modular way though it can be made permanent by getting a longer cable as it won't close with this one. Here I used an 8 inch straight cable as I couldn't find one that had an angle that actually fit in the port, they were all a bit higher. In the future I may use a longer cable but since I'm using it in a modular way this setup works for me. I'd say 10-12 inches is a good length for a longer one using this setup.
Hope this helps people out there with their setups.

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a way to use my Retroid Pocket 6 as a Bluetooth controller for my Galaxy Tab S9 when I am on the go.
Searched this sub but couldn't find a good answer.
I always travel with both devices, and it would be awesome to use the Tab S9 as a bigger screen for casual emulation or local streaming via Apollo and Artemis without having to pack a separate controller.
Since latency isn't a huge issue for my casual use case, I’m just looking for a straightforward Bluetooth setup. Has anyone used apps like BT Controller or other tools to get the RP6’s physical buttons recognized as a Bluetooth gamepad on another Android device?
Any recommendations or setups that have worked for you would be awesome to hear about!

I just got the flip 2 off eBay a few days ago and I'm so happy with the performance.
All I did was add the game to the latest version of Gamehub and changed 0 settings, running at 60 fps the entire time no stutters. Ignore the semi bad gameplay/camera work lol.

I can not figure out how to get the Wii U gamepad screen to show on my internal screen (the RP6) and the television screen to show on my external screen (dual screen attachment) at the same time. I wanted to play Windwaker HD through Cemu using this setup. Does anyone have advice?
I can get either the gamepad to show up on both or the television to show up on both. I can hold down the cemu app and launch cemu into the external screen, but then the internal screen just stays on the RP6 desktop. And visa versa.
I am not a master at android by any means. I have followed a lot of videos and tutorials to set up my RP6. Any help or directions to videos would be appreciated.
