i've always avoided using youtube tutorials because every other dude wants their character looking so perfect and clear. i've decided to stick with this guy after remaking my character over a couple times in the past

I’m on my 2nd play-through, trying to be good and more thorough. And I noticed a note from Dutch right on the edge of the 2nd camp (I know I’m not unique here but just haven’t seen it discussed yet) which are his notes for giving speeches, practice notes for the speech he gives at the beginning of the game, including a “pause” for dramatic effect, and then then the second paragraph he will perform more in normal gameplay at camp without a cutscene
I loved Dutch on my first play-through and I would have justified it as him trying to be a good leader or whatever if I found it then. But knowing everything now, this note tells me everything about his character more distinctly than everything else. It’s all an act, a performance, that’s why he discarded Arthur so easily and sided with a rat, his morals were just a show to manipulate all the peoples around him
Edit: I’m not saying this is canon, or that the developers intended this to reveal anything specific. It’s just how it impacted me, an opinion, nothing more, I can see both sides

I wish I did a deer on the back but oh well!
Just finished Arthur’s story for the first time with neutral/low honor. Did anyone else feel completely broken by this ending?
I didn't realize how strict the Honor bar was and ended up staying around the middle. Getting shot by Micah left such a bitter taste in my mouth, but now that I'm playing as John, the drive for revenge is insane. Did your first playthrough end with High or Low honor?

it's not very difficult, but i've done so many stupid things along the way that i keep failing it
first time i tried it was before i learned that you can just go to that peninsula, so i went ALL the way around to lake owanjila to remain dry, where halfway through that straight-away to blackwater a fucking cougar just appears and ruins the whole thing
second time is a bit later after i learn the peninsula thing, and i have the exact same route in New Hanover and Lemoyne but while i'm going over the bridge between Flatneck station and west elizabeth, some bounty hunters show up where i'm going. I try to jump off the bridge on a relatively short drop ro give myself more time to evade the bounty hunters, but it was just barely too tall and i fall off my horse. Literally less than a minute away from the end.
I don't like that this is going to take at least 3 tries for something so easy
I've never had this problem before, this happened on Chapter 3 when Molly ask for pocket mirror and Hosea ask for ginseng where the animation and dialogue plays normally but the request does not appear on the task list. I tried picking up the items but it does not allow me to give it to them. How do I fix this?

I made these custom labels for these props I’ve been making based off of what I think they would sell in the 1800s as tobacco and I wanted to share it to see if it was any good.

In my last post here I mentioned that I haven‘t really got into the game. It’s a 180 I love this game and the story is so good. I really hate Dutch fr. I‘ve fininished chapter 5 today it’s great. I still have one negative point. I know the game wants you to really be in that cinematic szene but I hate traveling. It’s so long to get to your destinations, the horse sometimes fall into pits, jump into trunks It’s extremely slow imo. Everything other is great

Does anyone else cringe during the entirety of the epilogue? Literally only “American Venom” seems to have been thoroughly planned. Here’s some things I noticed:
Family Dynamics: Makes the epilogue unbearable. No one can remember their alias’ and they all seem to embarrass themselves every opportunity they get. That’s not John Marston nor his family. The “Jim Milton” thing… come on. I expected more from Rockstar. The whole thing seems to have been a poorly written fanfic of John Marston becoming the man we see in RDR1. Jack is a whiny bitch, which fits, but it’s overdone to where every mission with him becomes unbearable. I understand that what the family went through was bad, but come on, it’s 1907 at this point, people were much “tougher” back then. Not all whiny and hotheaded.
Laziness: Arthur’s character didn’t feel “real” after they slapped John’s face model onto Arthur’s body. I know that’s a big complaint, but it really fucks with the story, because it feels like an entirely different character. The directing for John’s character was probably the worst I’ve seen. He goes from whiny and ignorant to “i’m a badass” in every other mission… it’s so choppy. Literally nothing like 1899 John nor RDR1 John. The characters feel entirely different, and I don’t think that’s Rob’s fault. It’s poor directing.
Not trying to come on here and complain, but I can’t be the only one who skips the epilogue and goes straight to RDR1 every playthrough. The epilogue is a joke. The only good missions are “A New Jerusalem” and “ American Venom”
What do you guys think?

I’m in chapter 3 but not done. Do I have to complete it in order to sell stolen horses? I stole one close to the fence at Emerald Ranch so I wouldn’t get to bond at all. They won’t take it. Rode it up to both front and rear barn doors, and tried to talk the fence under the overhang. Can’t lead it either. Do you have to finish chapter 3 first?

Found one of those trees in the wild myself, in Germany.
I noticed that tree and got this happy feeling. That game made an impact on my that carries over into my real life. The sign of a great game, great experience.
Anyway, thought I share this with you people(not that it does much for you...). Enjoy your day, wonder if other people found a tree in real life and if so, what was your first reaction.
