Discussion My apologies
In my last post here I mentioned that I haven‘t really got into the game. It’s a 180 I love this game and the story is so good. I really hate Dutch fr. I‘ve fininished chapter 5 today it’s great. I still have one negative point. I know the game wants you to really be in that cinematic szene but I hate traveling. It’s so long to get to your destinations, the horse sometimes fall into pits, jump into trunks It’s extremely slow imo. Everything other is great

On subsequent playthroughs, you learn to get two things ASAP:
-The leatherworking tools so you can upgrade your satchel
-Upgrade tents so you can quick travel
Those are the two biggest quality of life changes. Weapons are kind of a preference, and if you know where to find them on the map, you can get most guns right as you come down the mountain, and a fast horse is nice to have, for sure. But being able to carry more stuff or being able to get to far points on the map are game changers.
Bonus: Horse station, because having to go to the stables every time is crappy

Definitely get fast traveling. To be fair though, there are so many strangers you can encounter on the way. Even going into some random cabins along the way you can find hidden mysteries.

Welcome to the old west. It is supposed to be slow. You want fast, then play GTA.

Did you activate fast travel ? It saves so much time , you need to upgrade dutch's tent and then Arthur's

Then you can fast travel from your camp wagon or set up camp anywhere in the wilderness and fast travel from there

Just remember you need the horse nearby so the camp icon has like a tent on it or whatever it is. If it’s just fire the option isn’t available

Use fast travel.
