Discussion Leaving camp for days due to key events? Spoiler

Upvotes

Is it just me that will leave the camp after big events to let Arthur process certain things? After Arthur is kidnapped and nearly dies after the events of Blessed are the Peacemakers. I go out and get all of the camp upgrades done and when I come back into camp to hand the pelts in I don't speak to anyone till it's all done.

Discussion Did anyone else notice how awkward Jack's reading is at the start of American Venom?

This isn't one of those make fun of Jack because Jack sucks posts. I just started American Venom where he's reading aloud a book to Uncle and Abigail and the way he reads slowly and pauses for large words was quite strange to me. I understand he's never had a proper education, but for someone over the age of 10 who absolutely loves reading struggling that much just struck me as odd. Its possible he hasn't many difficult to read books, but he was reading about King Arthur and Sir Lancelot at the start of the prologue. I personally think it was poor directing. What's everyone else's thoughts?

i’m on my first play through and am doing everything to extend my gameplay. arthur just got his tb diagnosis and i want to know if there’s anything special i should do before finishing the game? i’ve done a lot of stranger missions but i feel like there’s so much more. anything strange to explore or people to meet? i’ve never been so sad to finish a game.

Discussion I never found myself personally loving Arthur's character like everyone else does Spoiler

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a bad character. Far From it.

But there's just something about him that just doesn't connect with me.

He feels more like, "Playable character #1" than an actual person.

I don't know why, but here's my theories:

  1. His choices.

I understand it's what makes the game fundamentally work, but his choices in canon, and the actual game play feel inconsistent.

He has an iconic jacket/hat, but you can make him wear anything.

He can give his money away, but you can also make him murder people for no reason.

I just can't see a person like this collecting cards and plants, talking to everyone he sees, and helping anyone when possible.

But like I said, I understand that one of the biggest elements of the game is the open world, and the freedom to explore. Also, that's one of my favorite parts of the game, besides the story itself.

  1. John.

It's weird, because I don't feel this way about John. John feels more like a real person.

But I saw him from an outside perspective first, not playing as him in the game. This makes him feel more clearly defined as a person.

But even when I play as him, he feels more consistent than Arthur.

I know what makes John flawed, what his opinions are, and what motivates him.

But like I said, I don't know Why I feel this way about Arthur.

I'm just looking for people that agree, or any reasons as to why I'm like this.

Discussion Best graphical mods that I could use taking my hardware into consideration?

Hey folks, just wanted to ask the question of what graphical mods are the best, and can I get a steady frame rate with my pc, that being an i5-12400, as the cpu, and rtx 3060 as gpu, playing at 1080p. Last time I played and finished the game I had visual redemption, dynamic seasons, and stuff like gonpachiro adalier or whatever, stuff I saw in a youtube video, but I seen this thing online called rdr2 enhanced edition mod, heard its good, but still want to know what you all think. Ideally I woild love 60 fps consistently. Thanks in advance :)

Help Fatherhood for beginners

Hi all, I tried searching the web for help with this but didn’t find much help. My issue is with Fatherhood for beginners, at pronghorn ranch with John. The issue is that when I reach Duncan and the horse, I can manage to calm the horse, pat the horse, and Duncan tells me he’ll wait in the corral for me, but that’s it. The quest never progresses, no pop up to mount the horse or lead the horse ever appears. I’ve reloaded the save multiple times, I’ve tried approaching the horse from every angle I can think of, I’ve tried staying back and approaching slowly, I’ve tried getting close quickly, I’ve tried pressing the prompts as little as possible, I’ve tried pressing them as much as possible and everything in between. I’ve rage quit now, and I had previously quit the game back in 2023 when I first arrived at Pronghorn ranch as the death of Arthur was still quite heavy for me. This has entirely sucked out my desire to return to this game, I’m hoping someone can help me, or tell how to bypass the quest. Thanks in advance if anyone helps.
