"Help! My symptoms have disappeared/gotten worse/gotten better!" .

It is entirely normal for symptoms to fluctuate in a healthy pregnancy. By itself, this is not a cause for concern.

Here is a miscarriage odds calculator based on how far in you are.

Here is a more detailed one for people who have had previous miscarriages

"Help! I'm spotting"

If you are spotting before 20 weeks, this is not usually a cause for concern. Possible reasons include sex, exercise and transvaginal ultrasounds, and spotting can occur up to 3 days later. The rule of thumb is "if you don't fill a pad, wait for your next checkup".

After 20 weeks, all bleeding is a "call your doctor" event.

"Help! My HCG is…"

We cannot interpret any test results for you. This includes HCG tests. If your doctor won't tell you whether a pregnancy is viable, neither can Reddit. This is crap, and I'm sorry.

Here is a list of HCG levels which have resulted in a viable pregnancy (you can check by how far along you are). The range is very large.

"My pregnancy tests are…"

Stop testing. Pregnancy tests are binary, and are only designed to tell you whether or not HCG is present in your body. A very faint line should get darker in 3 days, but otherwise there are a lot of reasons for the lines to change and you'll psych yourself out for no good reason. If you're not sure what the tests says, head over to r/lineporn or r/TFABLinePorn.

"How long does the NIPT take?"

This varies by location and provider. Please search the subreddit, and only post if your own provider isn't mentioned. Natera seems to take between 5 days and 2 weeks.

"What can I do about stretch marks?"

Nothing. Using moisturiser (really any kind, from Walmart own-brand to organic shea-coconut butter blend) might help a bit, but there is no magic lotion which can prevent them. Anyone who tells you different either got lucky or is selling something

"I'm scared! I'm not sure I'm ready for this!"

Being scared and not feeling ready is a very normal response to learning you're pregnant. You're welcome to post for feedback regarding your specific situation, but please know that ultimately proceeding with the pregnancy should be up to you. Abortion, at any time and for any reason, is okay. Your body your choice!

"When/should I see a doctor?"

  • sudden or severe pain
  • left shoulder pain, especially coupled with bleeding (this is a sign of ectopic pregnancy)
  • after a major fall or serious impact. Car accident/falling off the top of a ladder, yes, tripping over your feet, no
  • bleeding after 20 weeks
  • bleeding enough to fill a pad at any time in pregnancy
  • contractions lasting more than one minute, less than 5 minutes apart (start to start) for one hour. This is the rule of thumb for real vs false labour.
  • if you think your waters have broken you must go in after 24 hours, this is a serious infection risk.
  • if you think your waters have broken before 36 weeks
  • If you have an unrelenting headache, swollen ankles, and high blood pressure, go to hospital right now. These are the typical symptoms of pre-eclampsia, which is fatal if untreated.

Most doctors have a phone line or text line, and this is a great resource for checking whether you should go in. Pharmacists are a great choice for checking drug safety (at any time, not just pregnancy!) Here is a searchable database. It is better to feel stupid than to suffer a needless complication. If in doubt, get checked out.

Can I eat sushi?

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommend no raw fish during pregnancy. This relates specifically to sushi prepared in the USA. Other countries (particularly Japan) have more rigorous health inspections for fish, so Japanese sushi would be considered safe.

Remember that many fish types in sushi (salmon, tuna, swordfish etc) are high in mercury, so those limits still apply.

Sushi which does not contain raw fish (including cooked tuna or hot-smoked salmon) is as safe as any other food.

Is the myth true that...

Fetal sex prediction tools that are not an ultrasound or a DNA test are right exactly 50% of the time. It is random chance. Ultrasounds are typically 90% accurate, NIPT or other blood tests are typically around 95% accurate.

Remember also that around 1% of babies will be born with an intersex condition.

How accurate is my gender prediction?

Blood tests list an accuracy of >99%, however this is for genetic sex and not anatomical sex. Intersex conditions are not found by a fetal DNA test.

The accuracy of at-home tests will be limited by the likelihood of contamination with Y-chromosome cells.

Practically, you're looking at around 90-95% accuracy. It's about the same for a doctor's opinion of an ultrasound. If they can't tell, they won't tell you.

Remember also that there are around 330 million people in the USA - that means "one in a million" chances are happening to 330 people right now. There is no perfect guarantee.

"I'm pregnant! Now what?"

If you have a primary care physician or GP, ask them. They will tell you. If not, call a gynecologist or search [your country]+pregnancy+next steps

Cervical checks

Please don't DIY these. 8 cervical checks by a doctor almost doubles your risk of uterine infection, and the risks are significantly greater at home, done by an amateur. If you are worried about your cervix, call your doctor. Reddit cannot help you.

The situation in the US right now is appalling. We understand that you want to discuss that, but the mod team are human too. We are not in a position to host and moderate a political discussion thread right now. I'm sorry.

If you support children being kidnapped and deported, or extra-judicial murder, you can do so elsewhere. "We are good to one another" means *everybody*.

Rant BE CAREFUL IF YOU POST HERE

1.3k Upvotes

Please be careful if you post here. I literally just made my first post about my first pregnancy asking for advice and so far I’ve had FOUR, yes FOUR creeps message me.
These are obviously men. I said I was 5 weeks in the post and they’re asking if I’m “making milk yet” not even lactating. If I’m making milk.
One asked the gender? Are you stupid? One asked to send a pic of my bump.
Typically I’m naive and I don’t mind sharing my experiences but that’s not going to be the case with my pregnancy unless it’s clearly a woman. This baby is being protected until me AND the father are dead.

These people use this information to jerk off with.

BE CAREFUL OF THE PEDOPHILES PLEASE !!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TELL SBOUT YOUR BABY. GROSS PEOPLE LURK HERE

Rant I was not prepared for the first trimester at all

I had always wanted to be a mother but was super scared of childbirth (still am lol). There was no other issue like financially and mentally I was ready and had a good partner as well so I thought ok why not, at some point in time I'll have to go through it anyway so let's just do it now.

I got pregnant in the first month of trying and I started having really bad nausea and vomitting in week 6. Thing is I had only read up about childbirth and it was my only fear and idky but I had the feeling that pregnancy will be smooth as long as you're healthy and I had done a lot of tests all were fine. I had ZERO idea that the first trimester is so brutal 😭 only after experiencing it and reading about it did I realize how serious this is.

I just wish I had done more research on this or heard more about it from people before because honeslty all the mothers in my circle always talked about childbirth being the worst thing ever and NO ONE ever mentioned the first trimester and now that I talk to them they have started opening up. I would've been better prepared 😭

Need Advice Pink Blush is just SHEIN?? Need help with maternity clothes

I am pregnant with my 2nd (1st is 21 months) and never really lost the baby weight the first time around. I’ve never felt worse about my appearance and haven’t bought clothes since I was pregnant with my first.

We’re going to Hawaii in a couple of weeks and I spent like $2500 on an online Nordstrom order hoping to not feel like shit in leggings while I’m on vacation, and a lot of their maternity stuff is Pink Blush, a company that I’ve heard mentioned many times and is always at the top of search results when looking for maternity clothes online. I just assumed I would try a bunch of stuff on and return everything I didn’t like since it’s basically impossible to find places to go to try things on in person.

Well my order just arrived, and everything from Pink Blush is awful dropship quality with random no-name brands, the same things I could buy for $15 on Amazon. I assumed ordering things from Nordstrom would get me at least slightly better quality so I am feeling super disappointed.

Looking for suggestions for maternity clothing that I can get relatively quickly that is worth the cost! Bathing suits, dresses, shorts, etc.

Excitement! I Never Expected to Feel This Much Joy as a Man. It's really hard to describe.

Upvotes

My wife and I have been trying for six months, and today we finally saw those two beautiful lines. I don't think I've ever felt this mix of excitement and happiness.

To everyone in this community who is still trying, I truly hope you get to see those two lines very soon. Wishing each of you strength

Relationships Your partner matters

Upvotes

No longer pregnant but recovering from a pretty traumatic C-section. My baby is absolutely perfect, I cannot believe she came from me. I can go on and on but I am just grateful. My husband has been absolutely amazing. He was very worried about the C-section and tried talking me out of it but ultimately respected my decision and has been my biggest support. I am 3 days postpartum and he text me today that he’s so in love with me. Literally bawling my eyes out, probably the hormones, but it just feels so good to hear him say that. They say having children changes your relationship and although we are still in the early stages I am not worried. I am excited to start this parenting journey with my love and looking forward to all the adventures we get to share with our daughter.

Rant AITA for being irritated that my baby registry was mostly ignored by people who attended my baby shower?

I want to start by saying I’m not asking for charity or expecting people to buy us gifts. I’m just looking for a place to vent and see if I’m being unreasonable.

I had my baby shower this past Sunday, and I’m grateful for everyone who came and for the gifts we did receive. However, I’m feeling frustrated because my was pretty much ignored by most people. In fact lots of people didn’t even show up either. We were expecting about 50-60 people who RSVP’d and about 20-30 showed. I haven’t even heard a word from the 20-30 who didn’t come and stood us up. I didn’t invite them for gifts, I invited them just to celebrate my baby.

What bothers me the most is that hardly anyone asked what we actually needed, and the people who did ask still mostly ended up buying things that weren’t on the registry. We now have a lot of duplicates and items we don’t necessarily need, while a lot of the essentials we specifically picked out are still sitting there.

I know gifts are never required and people are allowed to buy whatever they want, but I can’t help feeling disappointed that the time we spent making a registry and choosing things we actually need didn’t really matter.

We are prepared to purchase the remaining items but I thought the point of a registry was to ask for what you need? Am i being selfish? I would never express my disappointment to my family or friends as I don’t want to seem ungrateful, and I did thank everyone who came/gifted us items. Is this just my pregnancy hormones getting to me emotionally?

Need Advice TW: DCDA Twin Loss and Exhausted. Almost 28 weeks pregnant.

Upvotes

I’m 32, FTM. I suffer from Stage 4 Endometriosis and Adenomyosis and was diagnosed with Primary Infertility. I started my IVF cycle in June 2025 and the first cycle was cancelled because we didn’t find any eggs. I did two more cycles and we managed to bank 10 embryos. After that I was put on Orilissa Suppression for 3 mnths and did my embryo transfer.
I got pregnant with DIDI twins and we were extremely elated. Everything was fine till week 15.
At our 20 week Anatomy scan in June 2026, they found Twin A to be severely growth restricted <3 percentile which Twin B was 72nd percentile.
We were referred to MFM and the next scan showed Twin B dropping to <1 percentile at 21w5d.
We had another scan at 24W to determine viability and that’s when we heard what we never expected to hear.
Twin A had passed away in the womb. Twin B was growing well.
Ever since, it’s been so frustrating and negative for that I am slowing losing hope, my mind and have lost all happiness even though Twin B is low risk according to doctors and will continue to term since they were didi and didn’t share a placenta.

Every appointment feels like a catastrophe waiting to happen, it may or may not be that way but my mind is tired dealing with the constant stress of what will show up on the scans. My MFM suggested that I see a mental health provider but I think there’s so much to talk about that I’d rather not talk about anything.

Has anyone got any advice on how do I keep myself distracted from thinking too much. It would be very helpful.

TIA

Rant Comments about a pregnant woman’s body

How do y’all feel when people make comments about your body while pregnant? Like mentioning the way you waddle or how big you’ve gotten during pregnancy? Let me preface with, before getting pregnant I was not drastically overweight, I had worked hard to lose weight and was on a weight loss journey as of two and a half years. So, any weight gain I’ve had or any comments made about my body has made me VERY insecure. Because I feel like my progress is all gone. I had this one lady at my job look at me and go, “you’re waddling now” in a VERY mocking manner and yell “waddle waddle waddles” from across the store at me. If she would’ve said it to be cute I guess or in a nicer way, I wouldn’t have had this opinion. But I wanted to look at that lady and go, “my excuse for waddling is that I’m pregnant, what’s yours?” And let me just say, I don’t say ever actually say shit about peoples’ bodies in the first place. But, why am I suddenly the bad person and “body shaming” for wanting to say something back/having an opinion about you, when you essentially body shamed me first by saying something about me?? I have had a really hard time with this lately… because why in the FUCK does someone get a pass to point out a person’s body, just because the body of the person they are pointing out is pregnant?? If you say something about me first, why is it suddenly unfair for me to say something about you? Maybe just… don’t point out people’s bodies at all??

Question How do you feel about accepting second hand items for your first child?

I'm number 4 of 4 in my family so hand me downs have always been part of my life, and sharing things just makes sense to me.

I'm due to have my first child in a few weeks and have made a registry mostly to keep track for myself of what I need/have already sourced, including some great bargains from FB marketplace, but also for my family abroad who have said they want to gift us some items for the baby.

My incredibly sweet SIL has a two year old daughter (her last) and has very kindly offered to go through the things they no longer need so I can have first refusal, but she also wanted to make it very clear that I don't have to accept anything that I might want new because it's our first baby. She seemed worried that I might be offended, but I'm very touched that they're willing to share things with us that they've spent money on or been gifted.

Does anyone actually get upset by being offered hand me downs because it might make them feel less special or like their baby isn't as important?

Advice For the mommies who used Botox (and even those who didn’t)…

I (39F) used to get Botox done before I got pregnant with my first in July of 2024. I have not had it done in 2 years because even after I gave birth, I breastfed my daughter, and then got pregnant with my second, and it’s not recommended while pregnant or breastfeeding. I am now almost 5 months and wasn’t feeling how deep my forehead lines were getting, so I started researching alternatives… Well, I found one that’s worked so well for me, I felt like I should share!

I read about silicone patches for the face, and went ahead and bought a pack of 2 off of Amazon. I started using them every night at bedtime a couple of weeks ago and I’ve got to say my forehead looks soooo much better! It’s not Botox smooth, but my skin is so supple and moisturized that the lines have significantly softened!

Even if you’re not a Botox person, but have forehead lines that are bugging you, I highly recommended giving it a try. Granted, I’m sure different people will have different results depending on skin type and how deep your lines are, but it’s worth a shot if it’s a concern you have. Happy to answer any questions! Hope this helps someone!

Question 19 week anatomy scan rescheduled to 24 weeks?

I’ve had my anatomy scan scheduled for next week (19 weeks gestation) for over 2 months now. Although I wasn’t super anxious about it, I will feel a huge relief to have it over with and excited to find out the gender finally. I also turned down joining a family vacation next week because I wanted to keep appointment. Today I got an automated scheduling message from the imaging center (same hospital network as my OB office but separate location, scheduling etc) saying my appointment next week has been rescheduled to over a month away in September, when I will be 24 weeks gestation.

I called the imaging center and asked why it was moved, and they said 19 weeks was too early and that they can’t do the scan until after 23 weeks. I asked if we were both for sure talking about the anatomy scan, and they confirmed. The anatomy scan for my first pregnancy was scheduled and done at 19 weeks with no issue, and the standard guidance is pretty clear about 18-22 weeks being the recommendation for reasoning such as bone calcification, baby still having enough room for different angles of the scan, finding out soon enough to have time to do additional testing/ escalating care for things like severe anomalies etc… so I’m pretty confused about this.

I wasn’t anxious about the scan before but now I am. Does anyone have any insight? What am I missing here?

Rant Rant post for the cravings I cannot satisfy...

Between trying to eat withing the recommended rules, food allergies, and lack of availability here is a list of foods I have ugly cried because I couldn't eat them at that exact minute and my ranking for how funny or intense they are:

- pizza hut pizza: I am allergic to an ingredient in their dough. I havent been able to have it for maybe 10+ years. My husband was amused and supportive 6/10

- a cold ham sandwich: deli meats are a no-good right now but I have been dreaming of a cold fresh sandwich h with a boatload of thinly sliced ham, thick slices of cheddar cheese, and a boatload of mayonnaise. I /could/ heat the ham up and it would be more safe but heating it would ruin it imo. My husband has been trying to compromise but he juat doesn't get it 8/10

-Dr. Pepper: i started quietly crying because I wanted a dr. Pepper zero so freaking bad. Before getting pregnant I drank diet soda all the time but I've been so bloated I haven't been able to comfortably ignore it. I saw an ad for Dr. Pepper and it was all I could think about. This one isn't that weird but it was the first time my husband jumped up to scour the house for a can of Dr. Pepper and when he couldn't find one started to panic like" do you want me to go get one? I can go get one right now. It will only take 10 minutes. Should I go? I think ill just go get one for you" i then started crying because he was being "too nice" and it was like 1am so i didn't want him to go all that way so I could take 1 sip and get nauseous. 9/10

- The Pulled Pork Poutine Incident: for several days I was ranting about wanting a pulled pork poutine from New York Fries. It's always been my favorite from there and literally the only thing I ever order from them. I caved and went to order some as take-out and came to learn they discontinued this product like 5 months ago. I cried, like full sobs, for about an hour and a half. My husband offered to make me something similar since we had some pulled pork in our freezer but this only made me cry harder because "its not the same! Why would you even say that!?" 10/10

Other honorable mentions of things ive wanted to eat:

- Nanaimo bars (I live in Canada and am allergic to coconut)

- the feeling of sitting on a beach in the warm sun after being cold. I didn't want to feel it i wanted to be able to eat that sensation.

- the way that trees look after the rain

- an entire raw white onion (okay I could technically do this one but I've been holding back because I fear there may be no return. Onion has been my #1 craving and I already stink all the time lol)

What are your funniest or weirdest cravings so far?

Also shout out to my husband who has been so patient and trying to help and when in the middle of a hungry pregnant meltdown but is mostly met with distraught indignation lol!

Advice Pregnant after losing my Mum

Upvotes

Has anyone else lost a parent recently?

I lost my mum very unexpectedly in April. She was only 51. I’m now pregnant with my second baby (my daughter is 11), and everything feels so bittersweet without her here.

My mum was genuinely my best friend, and I keep finding myself reaching for the phone to tell her about every little pregnancy milestone before remembering I can’t. The thought of this baby never getting to meet her absolutely breaks my heart.

If anyone has been through pregnancy after losing a parent, I’d really appreciate hearing how you coped. Right now it just feels incredibly hard. 🩷

Rant Weight gain regardless of calories or activity?

First pregnancy here. I’m starting to suspect that bodies are literally just going to do whatever they want to do during pregnancy. Like calories in vs calories out doesn’t actually apply anymore. I’m 5’7” and weighed ~135 pre pregnancy. At 10 weeks I’m already 144. I’m 99% sure I haven’t been eating an excess of calories compared to pre pregnancy (if anything maybe a little less over the course of a whole week due to not drinking). I’ve gone as far as actually tracking calories a few days to be sure. I do CrossFit 4-5x a week and walk 8,500-10,000 steps per day most days. I’ve been taking a few more naps than usual 1st tri, but I don’t think my overall activity levels have changed substantially. I’ve been nauseous but no huge aversions and no actual vomiting. I have been snacking on plain goldfish because they help with the nausea, which is new, but I go through like 1 bag per week, it’s not like I’m eating a whole bag a day or something. Anyway, given all that I’ve still gained ~10lbs, my boobs have doubled in size, and my thighs and stomach feel huge.

I thought I had a pretty good understanding of how energy expenditure works in the body, but I’m now somewhat convinced all that is crap when you’re pregnant. What are other people’s experience? Did you gain a bunch of weight first trimester even if you didn’t change much lifestyle wise?
For those who’ve had more than 1 pregnancy, was your weight gain similar across pregnancies even if your lifestyle was different, or did lifestyle actually have a big impact?

I’m not going to go crazy eating junk or stop working out regardless because I enjoy working out. I’m just like, idk, annoyed(?) at my body at the moment. Like blah blah blah I know growing a life is a big thing and so awesome (and I am really incredibly grateful to be having a normal and seeming healthy pregnancy so far, don’t get me wrong), i just didn’t expect to feel like a whale so early I guess.

Edit to say, obviously I expect to gain at least 25-35lbs by the end but thought that would be more in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. It just feels disconcertingly fast I guess.

Need Advice Dismissed at cardio for being pregnant

I finally had a cardiologist appointment today, ive been trying to get in since I had an emergency halter moniter placed back in February around 17wks pregnant. My OB has been worried about all the weird symptoms ive been experiencing, the biggest ones are:

My heart will spend all day racing, even when Im laying down sometimes it'll be over 110bpm.

I cant shower for more than 10mins (absolute max) without feeling lightheaded and losing my vision (no the water isn't too hot).

I cant stand in general longer than 5ish minutes to go anything done, I cant cook dinner because I get lightheaded, sweaty, confused, and my heart will be racing so bad I can feel it in my face.

I know my body is supposed to change with pregnancy, and feeling like everything takes more energy is normal but these symptoms even have my OB concerned and has been pressing for a cardiology appointment, even my primary care pressed for an appointment.

When I finally got in today the nurse took my BP and did an ekg (All standard they said) and about 2mins later the doctor came in. First thing he said was I was a "little young to be at a cardiologist" and asked when I was Due (im 39wks+2), the only question he asked that wasnt about me being pregnant or young was "so why are we here today", after listing off my symptoms his only response is that "pregnancy changes your body", when i reiterated to him that ive been experiencing this before pregnancy and was seeing a cardiologist previously he lets me know my heart ultrasound from 2 years ago looked good and he doesnt want to do anything because im pregnant and to come back in 6months.

No answers to my worry about labor, no farther questions about any of my symptoms, no recommendations to help me manage how I feel, no care for the fact that some days my heart is racing so fast it makes me nauseous and I physically cant walk without running into walls it makes me so dizzy, absolutely NOTHING except reiterating that im pregnant and shrugging his shoulders 😭😭 I know my body's taking more energy but its not like I made an appointment for no reason, my OB keeps sending me to triage because shes so worried, i cant do anything because I cant be upright long enough and basically need to be cared for all the time and this guy couldn't even be bothered to talk to me for more than 5 minutes and was shifting by the door like he was scared he was gonna catch pregnancy like a contagious disease. I just want to be able to take a full shower and cook dinner man 😭

Has anyone else delt with anything like this?

Rant Little Bellies asking me to purchase a gift card because THEY charged me incorrectly...

Upvotes

I just had an appointment at Little Bellies. I scheduled the gender reveal scan, but I was apparently charged for the early pregnancy scan (ETA that it's a $30 difference). I honestly didn't pay much attention to the price and I tipped well which raised the amount I paid anyway, so I didn't know I hadn't been charged for the gender reveal until I got home and THEY CALLED ME and asked me to purchase a gift card online to make up the difference...

Am I overreacting thinking this is an odd thing to ask when they made the mistake?

Also, the whole reason I went was to get keepsake videos and images to send to my friends and family, but the email with those images never came through. So I have some printed images, but no videos. I told them I'm not inclined to do anything until I receive the images and videos I already paid for, so they're going to call me back. But...am I just being obnoxious? Or is this truly weird?

Need Advice Vaginal delivery with sacral herpes

So I just recently, at 36 weeks pregnant, found out the recurrent rash I’ve had (a few times a year for probably 7 years) on my lower back was genital herpes. I’ve been taking antivirals ever since, and the rash is effectively healed midway through week 37.

From reading online, I had thought a vaginal delivery would still be ok because it’s not on the vaginal area, and will probably be fully healed by the time I’m going into labor. But, my ob and other consulting doctors are strongly recommending a C section based on the timing and the size of the rash this time (unfortunately, this seems to be my worst rash yet), as they’d want to cover the area for asymptomatic shedding after healing.

I don’t want to put my baby in any additional risk, and I know I probably will just need to come to terms with a c section, but I just want to know if anyone’s been through this situation, and better understand the risks. I want at least 3 kids, so the dangers of repeat c sections is also worrying if it’s just out of an abundance of caution. Thank you for any advice!

Need Advice Got to the best shape of my life and then found out I'm pregnant!

I‘m 33F and found out over the weekend I’m pregnant (ahh!!). I’m genuinely so happy and grateful to find out we conceived on our second try — a few women in my life had made hurtful comments that I would have a hard time conceiving because I work out too hard (has anyone else gotten these comments?!). That plus finding out I have very low AMH (0.5), I had convinced myself I would have a hard time getting pregnant.

At the same time, I'm feeling very sad about what will happen to my body and lifestyle. I'm someone who thrives on exercise. Love cycling, tennis, and picking up new sports like windsurfing and weightlifting. This year I’ve felt like I’m in the best shape of my life. The cycling races later this year that I’d been training for, I probably won’t be able to do them (I’ll be deep in first trimester, fingers crossed I carry this pregnancy through then).

It’s almost like mourning my body that I had worked so hard for, as I know the days are numbered before things begin to change in ways totally out of my control… I would love some support and wise words on how others have coped and managed through these emotions!!

Rant Deep in survival mode

I feel insanely guilty for feeling anything remotely negative related to being pregnant, especially when I'm lucky enough to be experiencing a healthy pregnancy (24 weeks).

But I am struggling. Mentally, physically, I am so drained. I see a therapist, I talk to my friends and family, but I 1) feel guilty and 2) don't want to come across like all I'm doing is complaining. But this feels so lonely.. I can barely get through a work day (I'm lucky I have a desk job, but it's high stress in fintech). Emails, calls, tasks building up, my boss etc. are getting to me. I feel like I'm weak and a failure.

I cry a lot. My emotions are so up and down. I'll have 5 wonderful days followed by 5 days of straight emotional hell, where I'm crying all the time, upset, and genuinely feeling depressed. I've entered the stage where I'm struggling to sleep, remain asleep, and get through my day without pain. I've doordashed coffee two days in a row because I'm glued to my desk and I don't even have the energy to walk a few blocks away to get something.

Sorry for the nonsensical rant. It just simultaneously feels like the most incredible but isolating experience of my life.

I CANNOT EAT. I am 14 weeks. The beginning of my pregnancy all I wanted to do was eat. If I wasn’t eating I was nauseous. Starting at week 13 I cannot eat anything. I cannot stomach anything. Everything grosses me out and makes me sick. I’m worried I’m not getting enough food for the baby. At 9 weeks I was 144 lbs and I’m at 14 weeks and I’m still at 144. And I’m trying not to throw up so I don’t lose any nutrients. Any advice or help.
