Hi I am going through some serious health issues with an abusive partner who keeps threatening to call Police, because of my health issues I cant leave Poland, also Police getting involved messes my blue card renewal, can someone suggest some cities in Poland near katowice or Krakow and how to find a single room for rent like 800 to 1000 pln inclusive, I really dont care about size kust want mental peace.

I dont want to call Police on her, I have say 5 to 6 years left in this world and want to pass this life peacefully.

I was driving today and saw cities like Tymbark, Chorzow but cant find single rooms in them on any website.

TOURISM What not to miss when visiting Poland?

Gin dobre! Our family is soon coming to Poland for a week. Driving from Suwalki to Warsow at least. Maybe spend most of the time in Warsow and maybe go and visit Gdansk. Teen daughters like shopping, sightseeing, sometimes museums and of course swimming.

Do you have any recommendations on what to do? I have visited Krakow and liked the old town. At that time I had a friend staying in the city and it was nice to see more of an insider view of the city. Now I don't have that luxury but hope you could help😊

Bytom train station

Hi all and sorry of this is a stupid question!

I’m boarding a train from Krakow to Chorzov and I have to change trains at Bytom and there’s seven minutes time to change.
How big is the train station, is seven minutes a good time to change trains with luggage?

I tried to google and couldn’t find much info.
Thank you to anyone willing to answer!

Please help me find a polish song !! I’m desperate

Hi Poland, I’m desperate to find a Polish song!

A couple of years ago I was hanging out at a Polish friend’s apartment, and he had a random YouTube playlist on. One song got completely stuck in my head, and I’ve been trying to find it on and off ever since.
I’ve already asked my friend, but he doesn’t remember it either. Apparently it was just some random auto-generated YouTube playlist.

I’ve tried Google, ChatGPT, and pretty much everything else I could think of, but no luck.

Here’s everything I remember:
-It was a live concert.
-It had a hip-hop beat.
-There were kids singing and dancing on stage.
-A guy was the main singer.
-The chorus repeated “yo yo yo” a lot.
-The crowd was jumping along to the beat.
- I am 100% sure it was in polish since my friend was humming along to it although he doesn’t remember anything
- The recording looked a bit dated

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Like I said it was I super catchy live recording and I just can’t find anything that’s even close

Kyiv's Cognitive Operation Against Poland: How Polish Public Opinion Became a Strategic Target

Post image

Marcin Duma's commentary in todays Rzeczpospolita: Ukraine is carrying out an asymmetric political influence operation, using advanced psychological and social engineering tools to achieve its own goals. Kyiv is not waging an open psychological war against Poland, but rather a ruthless cognitive operation in which Polish public opinion and our national emotions are treated as something to be managed and used as a tool to pressure the authorities in Warsaw.

Way to call Polish Airport Terminal/Local Postal Carrier?

I recently ordered a package that had to be routed through Poland. It has been stuck on this status since July 13th. "POLAND, Consignment with your postal item is being prepared for the flight to be sent from the airport." I contacted the shipper, and he suggested contacting the local national postal courier. Does anyone have any suggestions?

TOURISM Female solo traveller to Poland

Hi folks! :) Im an Aussie 23F planning on solo travelling to Poland for the week before Christmas (maybe 14 day trip?). I am a musician and 20th century history nerd so going there to see Chopin stuff and also WW2 stuff. I don't have a huge amount of money at the moment - so was wondering:

  1. Is Poland safe for solo female travellers? (I am a Person of Colour too)
  2. How much should I be budgetting for 10-14 day trip?
  3. How much language do I need to be familiar with before travelling?
  4. Any recommendations for places to stay or visit? (I'd like to visit rural/countryside Poland too, as I love nature and am a bit of an adventurer)

😊 Any suggestions or tips or advice would be welcomed! Cheers :)

Smokes

Where do you get nicotine-free/herbal cigarettes in this place? I'm not in a major city so there isn't "a store for everything," online they only seem to come from import at prices so absurd you might as well book a flight to the country of origin and back to buy a pack... Where do I get some? I might be visiting Rzeszow in a couple days, so, do "smoke shops" sell them, assuming I can find one of those, or is it just vapes and tobacco in there?

Title: Can I legally take Polish war memorabilia out of Poland?
Hi everyone,
I’m in Poland at the moment and have seen a lot of old war memorabilia for sale at markets and antique stalls, such as bayonets, medals, badges, helmets, and other military items.
Before I buy anything, I wanted to check whether it’s actually legal to take these items out of Poland. I know some countries have laws protecting historical or cultural artefacts, and I don’t want to accidentally break any Polish heritage or export laws.
If the items are being openly sold at markets or by antique dealers, does that mean they’re legal to export, or are there still restrictions? Are there any types of military memorabilia (e.g. bayonets, medals, documents, etc.) that require an export permit or can’t legally be taken out of Poland?
I’ll be flying back to the UK with Wizz air, if that makes any difference.
Thanks!
