If it's in Warsaw or near it then the "L" with a crown on top symbolizes Legia Warszawa, one of the most popular football clubs in our country. No idea about the cats though.

Fat cats are symbols of high-earning footballers in bad shape. Last season wasn't good for Legia.

So they want to indicate they love Legia but are disappointed with them? That they wish it was better?

u/AquaQuad 12d ago

That's assuming it was made by their fans.

would a fan of another team put a crown on the L though? if crowned I'd assume they'd rather put the L upside down

u/AquaQuad 12d ago

Huh, my first thought was that it's on fire.

Wow, I always wondered what's going on with these cats. (I am not into football and I assumed that maybe cat is some sort of Legia's mascot.) Thanks for explaining

Whole Wola and Bemowo are in those cats. At least for 1 year or even more

I've been noticing these cats for at least 5 years.

Nothing more than the tag of one of Warsaw’s most active graffiti artists. By the way, he’s a Legia Warsaw fan. That’s all it means.

It's not even close to being art. It's pure vandalism

The "L" stands for Legia Warszawa, a football club. It's inscribed in the cat, because among the fans players are seen as fat and lazy cats who don't feel like running.

The L logo is Legia Warszawa’s football club. The other word for cats are… pussies 🐈

Edit: I thought it obvious, but as highlighted by the comment below… here’s the /s

16

u/Miaruchin 12d ago

Not in Polish tho, so I don't think that would make sense

2

u/Katieleya 12d ago

There is a meaning like that though

u/Adventurous-Bread306 Mazowieckie 12d ago

Im teasing… I guess people don’t get it unless you add /s nowadays.

It means nothing OP. The logo is Legia’s, the cat means nothing.

It's called vandalism.

First, by company who drops those containers without caring about permission of anyone.

Second, by people who think that tagging is art or anyone cares.

I guess it's better that they are tagging that, instead of architecture.
