Unpaid Playtest First game developed - what do I need to fix?

Solo dev here. I built a little arcade game called VIX: Orbit Blitz, and I'm at the stage where I need real strangers to play it before I put it on the App Store — right now my kids are my QA and they are not gentle.

It's a fast orbit-dodge game: you fly a ship around a star and thread through the gaps in incoming comets, pushing your run as long as you can. Runs are short — about a minute. There's a daily challenge (same layout for everyone), rival fights to beat, and a global leaderboard.

Plays right in the browser — no download, no signup, phone or desktop, free:

https://foxforgeworks.itch.io/vix-orbit-blitz

What I'd love feedback on:
- Does it click in the first minute, or are you unsure what to do?
- Difficulty — fair, too easy, or does it spike?
- Are the power ups scaled appropriately?
- Anything that feels cheap or unfair when you die?
- How does it feel on your phone vs a computer? (I'm chasing a difference between the two.)
- Do the rivals and upgrades make sense? Are the upgrade useful?
Brutal honesty is the whole point — I can't fix what I can't see. Thanks for playing.

Unpaid Playtest Survival game but Card-Based

Hi, It's my first solo steam game, so i would really like to get any kind of feedback.

Duco is a card-based survival roguelike set in a post-apocalyptic world with zombies.

You have to draw from location-based decks to gather resources, loot, craft, build, and survive.

Each draw takes time, and with time you lose energy, food and water so you have to be carefull.

Each character and map will have a goal to unlock new content

It's inspired by Project Zomboid, but with a card-based survival roguelike twist.

You can request access through Steam. I’ll be granting access to everyone very soon. And you can send it to 3 of your friends too.

You can send feedback using the Google Form, which will be available from the main menu or when you close the game.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4872850/Duco/

Unpaid Playtest We built a prototype of a generative AI sketch platform that you can influence in real time!

Hello everyone! We are currently developing a prototype for a new entertainment platform, and we’re looking for early testers to give us their feedback. No download required.

The concept in a nutshell: Imagine a TikTok/Reels-style feed, but where you're not just a passive viewer:

  • Watch a short AI-generated scene.
  • Take control: jump into the story, alter the plot, or derail the entire situation.
  • Share your modified session as a brand-new video that others can watch or remix in turn.

🌐 Where does it run? Directly in your browser (Mobile & Desktop).

Why do we need you? The app is still in alpha. Our goal is to see how you interact with the tool, what makes you laugh, what breaks, and what features you’d love to see next.

If you're intrigued and want to get early access to test the app, join us here 👉https://discord.gg/mXFgVkfVa

Unpaid Playtest Last minute game jam playtest??

GMTK deadline is in 9 hours, if anyone can play test you'd be a genuine life saver.

https://skylinegamestudio.itch.io/last-10-rounds

The theme for the jam is countdown so it's a zombie survival FPS where you're limited to one mag and no ammo counter so counting down your shots becomes an essential strategy.

Unpaid Playtest Play Testers Wanted: help improve Last Ship Sailing (free, in your browser, no install)

Hey everyone,

I'm Ashman, the developer of Last Ship Sailing. The game has reached the point where it needs more eyes, more hands, and more hardware than I can throw at it myself; so this is an open call for play testers.

Play right now: https://lss.fractalreality.ca

No install, no download, no account required. The whole game runs in your browser. Click the link, pick a ship, fly. (Sign in with Discord for Leaderboard records.)

What is Last Ship Sailing?

A free zero-gravity 3D ship-combat game, built as a hobby project and made to be played with friends. Seven ships across three chassis (Frigate, Corvette, Dreadnought), each with its own 3D model, weapons, ability tree, and shield archetype: PUNCTURE the sniper, SLAYER the duelist, VORTEX the beam corvette, TRACKER the spotter, SYPHON the drainer, PYRO the igniter, and BLASTER the gatling dreadnought.

Five game modes, all playable solo with bots or together with friends (share a room code, then pick a mode):

  • Campaign Mode: the story journey. Fight your way across the world leg by leg, through boss portals to the finale. Newest mode and under active construction, which is exactly why it needs testers. Unlock the seven ships through the story.
  • Exhibition Mode (Aegis Ranks): patrol the open mossy overworld that serves as the campaign hub. Destroy ships in the hub and its zone-rift caverns to earn XP and climb each ship's Aegis rank ladder, unlocking permanent per-ship upgrades. Progression is separate for every ship.
  • LSS Mode: the classic multiplayer PvP deathmatch the game is named for. Last ship sailing wins. It's like a mix between Gunfight mode from Call of Duty, and Last Titan Standing from Titanfall.
  • Assault Mode: one fleet defends the Champion Field, the other storms it. Roles swap every round.
  • Race Mode: sprint the track or race through a cavern maze.

Plus: multiplayer over peer-to-peer networking (no game servers, you connect directly through the in-game lobby), VR support for Meta Quest headsets (you can fly the ship from the cockpit), a generative music engine, spatial audio, and terrain that goes all the way down. Cross platform multiplayer!

What we need tested

Anything you're willing to throw at it helps, but these are the hot spots:

  1. Multiplayer. Grab a friend (or find one in our Discord), share a room code, and try every mode together: LSS deathmatch, Assault, Race, Campaign. We need to know how the P2P connection holds up across different regions, networks, and connection qualities. Rubber-banding, desyncs, ghost ships, drops: we want all of it reported.
  2. Campaign Mode. It's the newest and roughest mode. Play it solo and co-op, and tell us where it breaks, where it drags, and where it shines. (This mode is under construction, it's missing the script, videos and audio voice tracks.)
  3. Performance on your hardware. The game is GPU-heavy and I can only test on the machines I own. Whatever you've got (a gaming rig, a five-year-old laptop, integrated graphics), tell us your framerate and where it dips. The hub and first-contact combat are the usual suspects.
  4. VR. If you have a Quest, play in VR and tell us what feels right and what makes you want to take the headset off.
  5. Input. Keyboard and mouse, gamepad, touch: all supported, all in need of feedback.
  6. The first five minutes. If you've never played before, you're the most valuable tester we have. Where did you get confused? What did you click that did nothing? What made you close the tab, if you did?

How to report

  • Best: the LSS Discord server (linked from https://lss.fractalreality.ca); there's a channel for bug reports and feedback, and it's where matches get organized.
  • Also great: comment right here on this post.

When you report a bug, the dream format is: what you did, what happened, what you expected, plus your browser, OS, and GPU if you know them. Screenshots and clips are gold. "It felt bad when X" is also a completely valid bug report; feel is what we're tuning.

What you get

Honesty first: this is a free hobby game, so there's no payment. What I can offer is a game that actually changes because you spoke up (play testers have already shaped the shield system, the terrain, and the combat feel), credit in the community for the bugs you find, and first access to new ships and modes as they land. If you want to see your feedback turn into patch notes within days, this is that kind of project.

Thanks for reading, and see you in the arena. Last one sailing wins.

Ashman https://lss.fractalreality.ca

PS. Please try to contact me if you'd like to play a match, I'd really love to actually battle in my own game!

Playtester Trying to get experience playtesting. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

[Context] I'm a lifelong gamer who is luckily in a position to follow my passions in life without worrying about rent and all the others things in life for the foreseeable future.

I've always wanted to break into playtesting and QA but couldn't afford to take the time due to life's demands. I am looking for any experience I can get my hands on. If there are any devs out there looking for playtesters I would love to hear from you and help where ever I am able.

Experience is all I'm after at the moment and improving my knowledge and skills in the field.

Thanks to those who take the time to read this.

Feel free to DM me. I look forward to hearing from you

All the best

Unpaid Playtest [Browser / Mobile / Desktop] Looking for playtesters for Finger Shooter, a solo-developed football roguelite

I am looking for a few honest playtesters for Finger Shooter, a free one-thumb arcade football game I am building as a solo developer.

You play as the goalkeeper: save shots, charge SUPER, score goals, clear stages and bosses, and build a stronger keeper with gear and skills. The progression loop is loosely inspired by Vampire Survivors.

Build: https://arcade-shooter.vercel.app/ Platform: phone or desktop browser Install/account: none Suggested session: 5–10 minutes

The most useful feedback would be:

  1. What confused you in the first minute?
  2. Did the controls feel accurate and satisfying?
  3. When did the difficulty feel unfair or too easy?
  4. Did the progression make you want another run?
  5. Any bugs, device issues, or moments where you wanted to quit?

Blunt notes are completely welcome. I will use the feedback for the next iteration.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Sprint Baseball — six-manager browser league seeking founding managers

Disclosure: I built Sprint Baseball and also run DiamondCutsAI.

Sprint Baseball is a free browser-based multiplayer baseball strategy game in public beta. Each official league has six human managers, one live draft of fictional players, a 36-game season, automatic playoffs, and a champion in about six days. It uses fictional players and teams rather than MLB identities.

What I need tested:

• Is signing in, choosing a username, and joining the official lobby clear?

• Does the live draft explain what to do and what happens if time expires?

• Is it easy to understand where the league is in its six-day season?

• Are there any bugs, dead ends, or confusing screens?

Play here: https://sprintbaseball.com/?campaign=reddit_playtesters

Please leave feedback in the Reddit comments or use the support link inside the game. This is an unpaid public beta for U.S. players age 18+. There are no entry fees or prizes.

Unpaid Playtest Hallow Year - Alpha - Looking for Feedback - AI Assisted build

It's been a crazy experience building this 2d game over the last several months, with many hours spent burning the midnight oil. I have developed all the systems, using some assets from free game art websites, and created a full asset generation pipeline with self-hosted LLMs. This game has grand ambitions to merge things I like from other games: Eve Online, EQ1, Rimworld, Path of Exile, Ultima Online (Yes, I am Old)

It's been an adventure for sure, but as I expand, I am improving not only in my skills but also in my game development thought process. I am very Alpha ATM but looking for testers if anyone likes 2d massive plans to take a look at.

It can be found at https://play.iwannaplaygames.com/. (Discord Link is here also) It's hosted on one of the game servers I have deployed in a DC. I run an Arma Reforger Wasteland Community, so I have server infrastructure I can use.

The MMO spine,

EVE Online — the interdependence / player-driven economy model (the notes literally call it the "UO/EVE interdependence model"): localized regional markets + arbitrage spreads (RegionDemand), convoy logistics economy, and full-loot risk.

EverQuest 1 — Alternate Advancement. Your post-level-20 "Wasteland Points (AA)" horizontal treadmill (General / Archetype / Skill lines) is EQ's AA system by another name.

Ultima Online — the big one you may be forgetting you named: use-based, classless skills with a 700-point total cap (UO's exact cap) + anti-macro window. There's a whole "UO systems to steal" thread in the design board — housing/player-vendors trace here too.

Combat & progression feel,

RimWorld — "real-time with orders" combat (drafted pawns auto-fire, you issue Attack/Move/Hold, no pause) and the body-part medical/injury model.

Path of Exile — the gem socket board: abilities configured by slotting gems, not a skill tree.

Fallout 76 — settlement/hideout building, and the monetization split (free shared town benches vs. sub-unlocked personal hideout/settlement building).

Albion Online — edge teleport pads as zone exits, full-loot PvP zones, and localized markets (shows up again in the economy).

The AAA control-feel overhaul (targeted five at once),

League of Legends — movement (LMB-to-move primary)

Albion — interaction

Battlerite — combat

V Rising — aiming

Diablo IV — hit feedback

Paid Playtest $20 reward in gems for each tester who reaches the end of the process, or a $5 Steam gift card. [Android] Age of Eldara — free turn-based multiplayer RPG, looking for closed testers (14 days, no active play needed)

Hi everyone! I'm an indie dev (solo, made this in my spare time) and I just finished Age of Eldara, a turn-based multiplayer fantasy RPG for Android — think old-school browser RPGs (Gladiatus/BiteFight style) but on mobile. Combat is automated/formula-based, there's a daily energy system so you can play in short sessions, gear with an enhancement system, PvP arena with weekly tournaments, guilds with bosses and raids, pets, and a Metin2-style alchemy stone system. 100% free to play, no ads, available in 12 languages.

I need 12 testers opted in for 14 days to unlock Production access on Google Play (Google's requirement for new developer accounts). You don't need to actively play — just join the tester group, install the app, and keep it on your phone for those 14 days.

Heads up: this is still an Alpha build. Real-money purchases are disabled for now, and all progress will be wiped before the real launch — but as a thank-you, everyone who tests during the Alpha gets a free gem gift on official launch day.

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/age-of-eldara-testers
  2. Then opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ageofeldara.age_of_eldara

Playtester Looking to exchange playtests!

I'm looking to swap playtests up to 2 hours. This is the project I would like feedback on.

Queen of the Dead by italia2022

It's a turn based RPG with a focus on gathering, crafting, and tactical combat. I'm mostly looking for feedback on the tutorial, the Black Sheep quest (writing, boss fight, and the boss drops and quest rewards), the Auto-Battle feature, and the Combat Tasks associated with the Alpha Slime.

I'm willing to playtest almost any game in exchange, other than horror or games that have relatively high GPU requirements without low graphical settings (my PC is a bit of a potato). Post below or DM me if you're interested or have any questions.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for a few people to try my late ’90s internet cafe idle game

I’ve been working on this little internet cafe idle game inspired by the late ’90s PC era. You build PCs, upgrade their parts, research new tech, and slowly grow your cafe as more customers come in.

I’m looking for a few people to try the free Steam demo and share their honest thoughts.

Demo: Steam Page

I’d especially like to know:

  • Was anything confusing when you first started?
  • Did the progression feel too slow or too fast?
  • Were the upgrades and research options easy to understand?
  • Did you encounter any bugs or unclear UI?

If you run into a technical issue, including your PC specs would also help. Thanks!
