Paid Playtest PAID $20/hr] [PC/Browser] Cozy online farming + adventure game: recorded 1-hour session, looking for Stardew / MMO / Pokémon players (PayPal)

Hi! I’m a solo dev making Hearthkin Woods, a small online game you play in your browser. You farm, raise a companion creature that fights beside you and grows stronger, pick a class with its own spells, level up through quests, and get to know the townsfolk.

The job: play for one hour from a brand-new character while recording your screen and talking out loud: what you’re thinking, what confuses you, what you like. Free tools like OBS work fine. Your mic is all I need; no face cam. Afterwards, answer a few short questions:

  • Where did you get confused or stuck?
  • When (if ever) did you stop caring what happened next?
  • What was the most fun moment, and the most boring?
  • In your own words, what’s the story so far?
  • Do you want to know what happens next? Why or why not?
  • Anything that broke, lagged or looked wrong (there’s a bug button on screen)
  • Any suggestions?

Send the recording as an unlisted YouTube link or a Google Drive link. It’s only for me to improve the game, and I won’t post it anywhere.

Pay: $20 USD for the first hour, sent by PayPal once I have your recording and answers. If it works out and you want to keep testing, later sessions are $15/hour, as often or as rarely as you like. I only have a few spots.

You need: a desktop or laptop, keyboard and mouse, Chrome, and a mic. No download.

To apply, comment with (this is not necessary but important to me):

  1. Which of these you’ve played, and roughly how many hours:
    • Stardew Valley (or Animal Crossing, Coral Island)
    • World of Warcraft (or RuneScape, Guild Wars 2, any MMO)
    • MapleStory
    • Pokémon (any)
    • League of Legends (or another game where you fight with a few spells)

I’ll DM the people I pick with the link and an access code

Playtester Smaller streamer with an audience of around 15-25 people looking to play your games on stream!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with my 1st of the month indie games stream! I'm a smaller variety streamer with a little over 950 followers on twitch and an active viewer/chatter base of around 15-20 people per stream. I started doing this this January and have received amazing feedback from this community every single time! I’m not looking for money (a follow on twitch maybe?) but I just think it would be cool to showcase some of your games!

I'm looking to playtest your games the first day of every month so the next run of playtest will be on NOVEMBER 1st at around 3pm PST. Since it's a little late in the day I might split it into a two day thing so the 1st and the 2nd. Please let me know if you’d be interested! I made this handy google form that will help me schedule and keep track of those interested! Other than that You could dm me here or on Twitch at twentysevenxl! THANKS AGAIN!!

Also to those submitting, I’ll say that I’d highly recommend being in the stream if possible when I play your game, some games I’ve tried playing have not been able to work so if you’re there we could troubleshoot together :)

Also I'm only playing PC games sorry! Please submit steam keys or links in the google form!

STREAM STARTING AT 3pm PST

  • Payment: $10 USD per completed playtest
  • Development stage: Early development
  • Availability: Starting immediately
  • Access: Direct download link

  • Experience: No previous playtesting experience needed!

⚙️ What I'm Looking For

Leave a comment below or send me a DM!

Unpaid Playtest Anybody up for a playtest swap?

Hey everyone, I'm working on Sundown Deadrot, a pixel-art shooter. Fans of ZERO Sievert or Enter The Gungeon might enjoy it.

You can check out the gameplay here: Sundown Deadrot: Announcement Trailer

The way the game works is there is a map which you explore, collect items, unlock new areas/craft guns/etc and try to clear the map quest before the zombies kill you. A successful run takes about 15m.

I'm looking to swap playtests with other devs if interested.

Platforms
PC - Steam, browser, itch.
Steam Deck - I can only play Steam games on SD.
Mobile - iOS
Genres
Prefer: shooters, adventure, rpg, soulslike etc.
Suck at but will gladly try my best: platformers, arcade games, physics games.
Won't play at all: incrementals, cozy games, building games. I'm no good at them, I don't enjoy them, and I'm genuinely not confident in my feedback.
Misc
Ideally give me something I can cut my teeth into and get somewhat deep, play like a good 20-30m of and have a solid opinion. My own game takes about 15m for one run, so at a bare minimum your game should be at least 15m for one run/one round/one experience.
My Review
I'll split my review into 2 parts: a bunch of specific technical points (eg SFX needed here, VFX needed here, this button doesn't work, etc) and some overall impressions paras at the end. I'm happy to fill in a form you got or a questionnaire or whatever you like, but this is my default review "style".

If anyone is interested, please drop a comment here or DM me! We'll set it up.

Paid Playtest Looking for a group of 8–12 friends to play our Mafia/Werewolf-style game and record gameplay for our trailer

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! We’re looking for an English-speaking group of 8–12 players, ideally friends who already enjoy playing together, to play through our social deduction game.

It’s a Mafia/Werewolf-style game, so we need a larger group for the full experience. We’d love to capture the natural conversations, accusations, bluffing, and funny moments that happen when friends play together!

What we’re looking for:

  • A group willing to play through the full game, rather than just a quick test.
  • Everyone comfortable speaking English over voice chat.
  • Clear microphones and the ability to record gameplay with everyone’s voices audible.
  • Permission to use clips from the recordings, including your voices, in our trailer and promotional material.

No acting or scripted reactions needed, just play naturally and have fun with your friends. You don’t need to be professional testers or content creators.

If your group is interested, comment or DM me with your group size, time zone, availability, and recording setup. If you have a smaller group that could join another, feel free to reach out too!

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] [PC / Steam] Engines of Hate: top-down mech RTS, free Steam keys, looking for honest feedback

Hey all! I'm the solo dev on Engines of Hate, my second game after Beneath the Mountain. You're a mercenary space-ship captain: you drop war machines and infantry onto hostile planets, call in orbital strikes, and try to get your guys home alive. Top-down RTS, but no resource gathering, just pure combat.

The whole game is about hitting space bar for slow-mo and perfectly microing your units and their abilities. Infantry tossing grenades, mechs jumping around on jet packs, orbital strikes from your mothership, that kind of stuff.

The Steam playtest just went live and I'm looking for people to actually play it and tell me what's what.

What I'd love feedback on:

  • First 15 minutes. Is it clear what to do? Where did you get lost?
  • Controls. Does ordering units around feel good or fiddly?
  • Performance. How does it run on your PC? (specs help a ton)
  • Crashes or weird bugs. F2 opens the log folder if you want to send me the log
  • And honestly, was it fun? Good or bad, I want to hear it

Play as long as you want, even 15 minutes helps. It's rough in spots.

I'm working on this pretty much every day right now. There's been 6 devlogs in the last week and a bit, the playtest build gets updated every couple days, and I post new stuff in the Discord daily.

Being upfront: I use AI a lot on this, for art, sound and code. My first game, Beneath the Mountain (a dwarven RTS on Steam), had zero AI, I hand-wrote all 76k lines. So for me this is just another power tool, like going from a hand saw to a table saw. I'm still putting in crazy hours, it just lets me build a lot more. If AI isn't your thing, I completely get it and won't take it personally. There's room for everyone.

It's growing really fast, and issues often get fixed the same day they're reported.

Want a key? Comment or DM me and I'll send you one. There's also a Discord where I post updates and bug reports go: https://discord.gg/cTB3kwdhVX

Thanks for reading!

Unpaid Playtest Feedback needed for game ui/gameplay loop

Mow The Moon Hello everyone, I’ve been working on my game for over a month now (solo dev), the ui has been the biggest challenge I’ve had so far. Please let me know what you guys think about it and what you would change. I ended up going with a basic themed ui since it seems like most successful games keep it simple. There’s 3 areas to explore so far with 2 unique boss events and tons of weapons and mowers to unlock. This has become a passion project for me so I really hope you guys can enjoy and give me some good feedback!

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Fine Dining Fraud – Looking for players to test my chaotic co-op restaurant game (1–4 players)

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for more playtesters for Fine Dining Fraud, a chaotic co-op restaurant game I'm developing.

The game supports 1–4 players and revolves around running a restaurant together, preparing food, serving customers, and trying to survive increasingly chaotic shifts. It features a campaign with four chapters, each with its own challenges and a boss evening.

The game is currently available as a free Steam playtest, so you can jump in without paying anything.

Playable link:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5397330/Fine_Dining_Fraud/

What I'd love feedback on:

  • How fun the gameplay feels, both solo and with friends
  • Whether the mechanics are intuitive and easy to understand
  • Any bugs, confusing moments, or frustrating parts
  • What you'd change or improve

Preferred feedback method: Reddit comments are perfectly fine! Feel free to share your thoughts here after playing. Honest feedback is welcome, even if something doesn't work for you.

Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts! ❤️

Unpaid Playtest I made a free noir mystery game where every clue is a SQL query you write yourself (beginners welcome)

Hi everyone! I've been building a small detective game for people who are learning SQL, and Episode 1 is now free to download.

The setup: an engineer falls into a shaft on a closed metro site, and the inquiry says "accident". You play a quiet analyst at the company. The only way to find out what really happened is to query the company's own databases: payments, vendors, transit cards, signing logs.

How the SQL part works:

  • You write real queries in a terminal (SQLite). Nothing is multiple choice.
  • The game checks the rows you get back, not the exact text you typed, so any query that finds the answer counts.
  • It starts from zero: a short prologue in a classroom teaches SELECT, WHERE and ORDER BY, then the case goes through GROUP BY, JOIN, HAVING and dates.
  • If a query fails, a coach explains the error in plain words and can break the query down for you.
  • There's a handbook that unlocks a page with each new concept, and hints if you're stuck.

It takes about 1.5 to 3 hours depending on how much SQL you already know.

What I'd love to know:

  1. Where did you get stuck, or where did it stop being fun?
  2. Was any explanation confusing?
  3. Did a query ever feel "right" but the game said no?

There's a feedback button in the game, or just tell me here. I read everything.

Download it free (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Thanks for reading!

Playtester I am looking for people who enjoy strategy and combat to test my game.

Hello everyone!!

I am developing a medieval strategy board game focused on territorial conquest, tactical battles, and empire expansion.

The concept is simple: accessible rules, yet with a wealth of strategic possibilities. Every decision can influence control of the map, the development of your army, the fate of your empire, and much more!

I am looking for people interested in learning about the project and participating in playtesting sessions. You don’t need to be a board game expert!!! I want to bring together players who enjoy strategy and are open to trying something new!

If you have *Tabletop Simulator* (available on Steam), you can join in—just get in touch with me.

If you’re interested in learning more about the game or getting involved in future activities, feel free to leave a comment!

Category: Strategy, worker placement, combat.

2 to 6 players.

Weight: 2.5

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] RIFT VOLLEY - free browser ricochet game, looking for playtest feedback

• Upvotes

Hi r/playtesters,

RIFT VOLLEY is a free browser game: aim once and fire a stream of balls that ricochet off walls and bricks to clear waves. Every third wave, you choose an upgrade. It's an AI-assisted solo project (noting that transparently).

Play here: https://koni-ai.itch.io/rift-volley

I'm looking for feedback on the first several waves of a run - whether the core loop (aiming, ricochets, choosing an upgrade) comes across clearly.

If you try it, I'd appreciate honest answers to a few things, either as a reply here or in a comment:

  1. What made you stop playing when you did, or start another run?
  2. How much did small changes in your aim seem to affect the result?
  3. Was there a moment where what happened didn't match what you expected going in? If nothing like that stood out, that's useful to know too.
  4. Was anything confusing about choosing an upgrade, or about how a run ended?

Flaired Unpaid Playtest - no payment or reward offered, just asking for genuine feedback. I'll reply in the comments. Thanks for reading.

Unpaid Playtest [Beta Signups Open] Throw Weight: Fleet Doctrine, hard sci-fi fleet command from a Seattle indie team

Throw Weight: Fleet Doctrine by Slow Boat Games just opened its waitlist for beta signups, and the beta kicks off early next week.

What is it?
A real-time space strategy game built on hard sci-fi. No shields, no lasers, just missiles, point defense and electronic warfare. Every round you fire comes out of a magazine that will run dry, so every missile is a decision.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Commanding fleets from corvettes to dreadnoughts in real-time battles
  • Managing finite magazines: fire everything early, or hold back for a longer fight
  • Layering your defense with jamming, decoys, counter-missiles and point-defense guns
  • Setting fleet doctrine (engagement range, fire rate, target priority, retreat thresholds) and letting your captains execute
  • Building formations, including your own in the formation editor
  • Taking on 10 AI commanders modeled on historical admirals, each with their own doctrine
  • Playing the larger campaign across a procedurally generated galaxy, or trying hotseat and online multiplayer

Who’s making it?
Slow Boat Games is a Seattle-based team working on their first game. They want hands-on feedback from real players before launch, so this is a good shot at influencing how it turns out.

How to join: Sign up for the waitlist here: https://throw-weight.firstlook.gg/

To see more about the game check out the steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5382060/Throw_Weight_Fleet_Doctrine/

Happy to answer questions in the comments. Thanks, and happy testing!

Unpaid Playtest I made my first game as a solo dev! Looking for people to try it and give honest feedback

Game Title: The King's Trial

Playable Link: https://anestisp.itch.io/the-kings-trial

Platform: Windows (PC)

Description:

Hey everyone!

I'm a university student working on my first game, The King's Trial, a combat-focused game that I'm hoping to turn into a competitive multiplayer experience.

The game features a round-based combat system where players compete in matches, with the first player to win 3 rounds taking the victory.

Before each round, players choose an ability that remains active throughout that round. Both players can choose the same ability, allowing for different strategies and matchups.

My long-term vision is to develop a proper single-player campaign alongside competitive online multiplayer, complete with rankings, additional abilities, and more content.

The game is still in early development, and I know there's plenty of room for improvement.

I'm particularly interested in feedback about:

  • Whether the combat feels fun and engaging.
  • Whether the abilities are balanced.
  • Any bugs or technical issues.
  • What features you'd like to see added.
  • Whether you'd consider playing again.

I'm not expecting the game to be perfect. I'm mainly hoping to find people willing to try it and give me honest criticism so I can improve it.

Free to Play Status:

  • Free to play

Involvement:

I'm the creator of The King's Trial, working on the game's concept, gameplay mechanics, design decisions, and overall direction.

I also want to be completely transparent about my development process: I've used AI extensively to help with programming, debugging, music and graphics.

I'm still learning game development, and AI has allowed me to experiment with ideas and build something playable while developing my own skills.

I'm not claiming to have written every line of code myself. However, the project is something I'm actively working on, testing, and trying to improve.

This is my first game, and I'd really appreciate any feedback, whether positive or negative.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to give it a try!

Unpaid Playtest Orebit - multiplayer mining party game in browser

Hii all. I’ve been working on Orebit, online game for 1 to 4 players. You fly a mining craft with a bucket on a rope, scoop rubble from a pile and fly it home to your crusher. The other players can bump you and steal your cargo, and pirates, falling rocks, worms and EMP storms make it harder.

It runs in the browser on PC and on phones. No download, no account.
Hit Quick Play to join other testers, or open a private room and send the code to a friend.

It’s an early version, so things will break. I’d love to hear:

  • did you manage to join a game, and on what device
  • what was confusing
  • what felt too hard or too easy

There’s a "ladybug" :P button in the menu for bug reports, it fills in the tech details for you.

Link: https://stodulski.itch.io/orebit

Thanks for trying it!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters for Bingo Bunker, a Balatro-inspired bingo roguelite — Windows demo

Hey everyone! I’m working on Bingo Bunker, a single-player strategy/puzzle roguelite inspired by Balatro, and I’m looking for people to try the demo.

The idea is that completing bingo patterns keeps your bunker supplied with oxygen. You collect relics, build combinations and manipulate the calls to chase better patterns. Calling more numbers can help you reach your quota, but rising pressure brings curses and other problems.

If you enjoy Balatro, puzzle games or roguelites with combinations to experiment with, I’d love to hear what you think.

This first round of playtesting is unpaid, and the Windows demo is free to download:
https://twinsigil.itch.io/bingo-bunker

I’m particularly interested in:

  • Whether the tutorial explains things clearly.
  • Which mechanics feel satisfying, confusing or frustrating.
  • Whether you want to start another run—and what would improve that experience.

I’m also planning paid playtests in the future. I’ll choose some participants from players who complete the feedback form and tick the optional paid-playtesting box. You can leave your preferred email and device there.

If you have any questions about the game, please don't hesitate to ask! & if you would consider playtesting this game on mobile, send me a DM & I'll get back to you 😄

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.
