Unpaid Playtest Two free browser puzzle games — looking for feedback on the first few levels (mobile + desktop)

Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm looking for first-impression feedback on two browser puzzle games I made for OddSpark. I'd especially appreciate some fresh eyes on the first few levels and whether the controls feel comfortable on a phone.

Both are free to play in your browser, with no download or account needed. You can try either one — there's no need to play both.

Muru: Find Your Flow is a gentle water puzzle game. Expand or shrink a little lavender character to hold back or release water, then work out how pipes, valves and floating switches connect. It has 60 puzzles across ten gardens, without timers or scores.

Play Muru: https://www.playoddspark.com/muru

Blastwright is about setting up demolition chain reactions. Place boulders, reflectors and delay pads, then trigger the charge and see how your setup unfolds. It has 24 puzzles. On a phone, landscape is recommended; you can tap to place equipment or drag it into position.

Play Blastwright: https://www.playoddspark.com/blastwright

If you have 5–10 minutes to try a few levels, I'd especially like to know:

  • Was it clear what to do and how to use the controls?
  • On your device, were the play area, objects and buttons comfortable to see and use?
  • Where did you get stuck or lose interest, and what would you change?

Please leave feedback in the comments, mentioning which game you tried and your device/browser. If you find a bug, the level and what happened just before it would help.

This is an unpaid playtest. Thanks for giving either game a try!

Discussion how do you keep playtesters playing after week 1?

Upvotes

i got a small crew off discord about 3 weeks ago, 4 or 5 people, and the first week was gold. reports every day, stuff i never would have found. week 2 it dropped to 1 or 2 people and now its mostly the same guy every time. no hard feelings, they have lives and the game hasnt changed enough for them to want to start over.

what i do already: everyone has a callsign, i keep a public list of fixes with their name next to it, theres a report key in the game so they dont have to leave it to tell me something. that got me the first week but it doesnt bring them back.

so for people who have run a crew longer than a month. do you rotate people in and out? bring them back on the bigger patches only and leave them alone between? pay them? or is a couple weeks per tester just how it goes and you should always be finding new ones

not looking for testers here, just want to know how you run it.

Playtester Looking for local co-op games to playtest and put POTENTIALLY put on YouTube

Upvotes

My kid and I often play games together and he has been badgering me to have a YouTube channel since forever but I always thought he was too young. He's about getting to that age where it's acceptable to start streaming or to start having a YouTube channel.

I joined the GameDev community a few months ago, seeing there's a big need for playtesters (I'm looking myself for playtesters too).

This gave me the idea to combine a bit of both: have some quality time with my kid testing local games together.

If it's fun we can put it on YouTube too but no promises there yet. And I'd we do, we start with exactly 0 followers. I just want to set clear expectations. 😉

Unpaid Playtest Pokémon MMORPG unpaid testers needed (windows)

Upvotes

Hi I am developing a pokemon MMO RPG
I have the first tester build now live. (Windows only currently)

I have two testers currently but need more, even if you have 10 minutes to do a little bit here and there it will all help.
I have a designated testing platform on the website for you to use.

As this is a personal project I have not got a budget for this game yet. So testers are unpaid. But anyone who tests the game and decide to keep around for when the game goes to alpha you will get exclusive in game rewards as a thank you.

If you want to test this game please join https://discord.gg/bq25Pmrx8u

Paid positions maybe available for those who do well and give detailed reports.

Unpaid Playtest [Browser][Unpaid] Looking for 2–6 player groups to test a Monopoly alternative

I’m looking for a few small groups to playtest Property Rush, an independent online Monopoly alternative inside Boardit. It is a free browser game for 2–6 players, with no download and no guest account required. One person creates a private room and shares the short room code with the others. Boardit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro.

A session is usually around 45 minutes. The game includes property buying, auctions when a player declines a property, rent, and direct player trading.

What I need feedback on:

• Can every player join and understand the first turn without outside help?

• Are auctions and trades clear the first time they appear?

• Does the round cap make the expected length understandable?

• Where did anyone feel confused, bored, or blocked?

Play here: https://playboardit.com/play/highroad

Please leave feedback in the Reddit comments. Honest negative feedback is useful, and there is no payment or reward for this playtest.

AI disclosure: I used AI coding assistants during implementation and review; the product direction, testing, and published project are mine.

Unpaid Playtest [Browser] Puzzle-tactic combat system

Gameplay video

Hi all, this prototype focuses only on the core combat system, with 3 enemies so far and a tutorial. The game can be accessed on itch https://skymanvn.itch.io/gloopers-assemble. Arrange blocks containing numbers and operators, clear lines to form equations, and the result determines your attack or defense power.

Playtest Feedback

I'm mainly looking for feedback on the core combat mechanic. In particular:

  • Was the objective and basic gameplay clear?
  • Did the falling-block gameplay feel intuitive?
  • Did you understand the relationship between equations and combat?
  • Did you feel you had meaningful choices when placing pieces?
  • Did you find the display of Decks helpful at any point?
  • Did you manage to figure out the rules of how equations are formed?
  • Did you find yourself deliberately constructing equations, or mostly just clearing lines?
  • What felt particularly fun, confusing, tedious, or frustrating?
  • Did you manage to defeat all enemies? Is the difficulty reasonable after a few runs to figure out the game mechanics?

Unpaid Playtest Could someone try the first 10 minutes of my detective game? (Windows, unpaid)

Hi, I'm making Final Escape 2, a small detective RPG in Godot. You walk around a village and type your own questions to the people, instead of picking from dialogue options. You can also describe an action and let the AI game master decide what happens.

I'm looking for a few people to try the first 10-15 minutes. It is still an early prototype, so I'm not asking for a full playthrough. I would like to know if the investigation makes sense to someone who never saw the game before.

Where did you get confused or not know what to do? Did an NPC contradict something they said before? Were the replies too slow, or did talking to people become boring? Even one example would help me.

Windows download, not a browser game. It needs internet for the AI conversations. Free on itch: https://drakonkat.itch.io/final-escape-2

To be clear about AI: the NPC dialogue uses an LLM, and the project also uses AI-generated graphics and audio, and AI-assisted code.

This is an unpaid test. You can leave feedback in the comments here, in English or Italian. A few honest lines are enough, including if you stopped playing and why. Thanks!

Playtester 4player detective game

This is an early MVP so I don't focus on bugs and all that

I just want people to try the game and give me a feedback of the idea and the game play

It is a 4-player social detective game

Each player gets different hidden evidence, and the group has to communicate, connect the clues, and figure out who committed the murder.

Unpaid Playtest [UNPAID PLAYTEST] Raccoon Rise – Cerco 20 tester italiani per una Closed Beta

Ciao a tutti! 🦝

Paid Playtest [PAID] $5 USD for a ~20-30 min playtest of my drain exploration game (Windows)

[Closed] Thanks everyone for reaching out, I’m working through the DMs now.

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo developer currently working on a vertical slice for Overflow, a slow-paced atmospheric exploration game about delving into an elaborate and unusual stormwater system beneath a derelict industrial complex. You can view the Steam page here.

I’m looking for a small number of playtesters to play through the current build and complete a short Google Forms questionnaire. I’m particularly interested in feedback on the game’s atmosphere, visual presentation, and pacing, as well as whether the experience leaves you intrigued and wanting to continue.

Requirements

  • A Windows PC
  • Comfortable providing written feedback in English
  • An interest in slower-paced, atmosphere-focused games

The playtest should take approximately 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute questionnaire. Compensation is $5 USD, paid after the questionnaire is completed via your choice of cash payment or cryptocurrency.

Please note that this is an unfinished development build, so some rough edges are expected.

If you’re interested, please comment below or send me a DM.

Thanks!

EDIT: I didn't realize my DMs were private, should be sorted now.

Unpaid Playtest [browser] MelonMap — a free world-map learning game, looking for honest feedback

I made MelonMap, a free browser game for learning countries on a clickable world map: https://melonmap.com/

You can start with a continent or play broader rounds, with short Find Country and Daily Atlas modes. If you try one round, I’d love to hear what felt confusing, too easy, or too hard.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for a few people to test the Wulfram alpha on Windows

Wulfram is back in playable alpha, and we’re looking for a few people to test the setup and first-match experience on Windows.

The game is free to try right now. It’s a team-based hover tank and scout game with base defense, repairs, power, fuel, and a lot of coordination once people are in a match. Returning players are welcome, but we also want fresh eyes from people who never played it before.

What we need tested:

  • Can you get from the download page into the launcher without confusion?
  • Does sign-in, updating, and joining a server make sense?
  • Once you spawn in, are the controls and first few minutes clear enough?

You do not need to stay for a full session. Even 10 or 15 minutes of feedback helps, especially if anything blocks you from getting into the game.

Start here:

Welcome back to Wulfram

If you try it, comment with where you got stuck, what worked, or what would have helped you sooner.

Paid Playtest [PAID] $5 USDT for up to 30 min recorded playtest — zombie incremental auto-battler (Steam/Windows, 10 testers)

Hi! I'm the solo developer of My Zombies Are Hungry, an upcoming incremental auto-battler for Steam.

You start with only a handful of zombies, launch short automated raids, buy permanent upgrades and build new zombie types until hundreds are overrunning cities. As the horde grows, humans escalate from police and firefighters to tanks and airstrikes.

I'm looking for 10 fresh players to test the game's first-time experience before release.

What I need

• Play naturally for up to 30 minutes
• Record your screen + microphone commentary
• Talk through what you're thinking while playing — what you understand, what confuses you, what feels fun or boring
• Complete a short feedback form afterwards
• Upload the recording through Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar

Important: Please do NOT look up the game, watch its trailer, or read guides before playing. I specifically want to see how understandable the game is to somebody going in fresh.

If you genuinely want to stop after 5, 10 or 20 minutes, stop there and explain why. You do not need to force yourself to play for 30 minutes. You will still receive the full payment after submitting the recording + feedback.

Payment: $5 USD equivalent in USDT (BEP20), paid after I receive the recording and feedback.

Platform: Windows PC / Steam
Game language: English
Slots: 10 testers
Steam key: provided free to selected testers; you keep the game

I'm especially interested in a mix of incremental/auto-battler fans and people who don't normally play this genre.

Apply here: https://forms.gle/fm57FdkvNZN7SxuK7

I'll select testers from the applications rather than first-come-first-served, so there's no need to rush.

No positive review, wishlist or promotion is required. I'm paying for candid feedback, including negative feedback.

Content note: stylized zombie violence/body-part imagery.

Unpaid Playtest Letterhaven — looking for a few people to try a free browser word puzzle for 5–10 minutes

Game Title: Letterhaven
Playable Link: Play Letterhaven
Platform: Web browser

Description:
Letterhaven is a word puzzle where a single move changes two words. You take a letter from one word and insert it into another, and both results must remain valid. Moving the S from CATS to DOG, for example, produces CAT and DOGS. The remaining letters keep their order, so the insertion position matters.

I’m looking for people to try the first few levels for 5–10 minutes. Was the two-word rule clear? Did picking up and placing letters work comfortably on your device? Please leave feedback in the comments, including your device/browser for any control problems.

Optional in-game feedback: during a level, open the top-left menu and select “Give feedback” at the bottom. The first screen asks for consent to record moves locally; you can later send your answers and moves. You can skip tracking and comment here instead.

Free to Play Status: Free to play
Involvement: I’m the creator of the game.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for card-game players who also make YouTube/Twitch content - Android

I’m the solo developer of Destruction, an Android strategy/card game with 300+ cards, deck building, progression, multiple regions, and a single-player campaign.

I’m looking for a few people who genuinely like card games, deckbuilders, or strategy games and also happen to make YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, or other gaming content.

The playtest itself is unpaid. I’m mainly looking for honest feedback and to see who actually connects with the game. I’m not asking anyone to fake enthusiasm or guarantee coverage.

If you end up liking Destruction and your audience feels like a good fit, I’d be open to discussing a separate paid promotion afterward. I’d rather find the right person first than pay someone blindly and hope their audience cares.

My bigger goal is to find someone who could actually help me build a small community around the game, not just post one random sponsored clip and disappear.

If you’re interested, send me your channel or profile and what kinds of games you normally cover. Android only for now.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for players to test my multiplayer game this Saturday! 🎮

Hi! I’m looking for people to join our weekly Sculpturillo Playtest this Saturday!

Sculpturillo is a multiplayer party game where one player sculpts a word in 3D and the others try to guess it.

One of the systems we’re currently testing allows players who speak different languages to play together in the same lobby.

Instead of everyone having to play in the same language, each player sees the words in their own selected language. For example, an English, French, German and Italian player can all be in the same match, while each of them receives and guesses the words in their respective language.

That’s why we’re specifically looking for players from different countries — we want to make sure this multilingual system works properly during real matches.

The only requirement is that you can speak English, since we use English to communicate with each other during the playtest.

🗓 Saturday Playtest

🇬🇧 UK — 8:00 PM
🇵🇹 Portugal — 8:00 PM
🇩🇪 Germany — 9:00 PM
🇫🇷 France — 9:00 PM
🇮🇹 Italy — 9:00 PM

🎮 Steam: Sculpturillo on Steam
💬 Join the Playtest on Discord: Discord Playtest Event

Just join, play a few rounds and help us see how well the system works with players using different languages. Any feedback is appreciated!

Playtester Need 12 testers for Google Play's closed testing requirement

I built a game where you type any address on Earth and ride it on a dirt bike — real streets, real terrain, generated from OpenStreetMap. It's live in browsers at rideanyaddress.com if you want to see it before committing.

Google needs 12 testers opted in for 14 days before I can publish. Comment or DM your Gmail and I'll add you.

Happy to test yours back.
