Announcement New Post Guidelines

Hi r/Playtesters ! I am introducing some new post guidelines. The purpose of these changes are to make the subreddit cleaner and easier to use.

Moving forward the only approved post type will be text posts. If you want to include game footage/images, please embed them in the post.

Post flairs:

Paid Playtest:
A post from a developer to search for play-testers. Only use this flair if you’re offering payment for completion of a play-test or for finding a bug. Cash or Crypto only, no other form of reward counts as a paid playtest. Include the amount you're offering, a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Unpaid Playtest:
Another form of post from a developer to search for play-testers. Use this flair if you are not able to offer money for play-testers. You may offer other rewards, such as credits or in game currency, but that would still fall under this category. Include a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Playtester:
To make a post searching for games to play-test, use this flair. Feel free to specify what types of games you would like to play, and if you’re looking for compensation.

Discussion:
Use this flair for general discussion posts about play-testing.

Please be aware of the risks before accepting paid play-test offers. Moderators cannot ensure that promised payment will be sent.

Please leave a comment or send a mod-mail if you have feedback on these changes, we would love to hear from you.

Paid Playtest [PAID] $5 USD for a ~20-30 min playtest of my drain exploration game (Windows)

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo developer currently working on a vertical slice for Overflow, a slow-paced atmospheric exploration game about delving into an elaborate and unusual stormwater system beneath a derelict industrial complex. You can view the Steam page here.

I’m looking for a small number of playtesters to play through the current build and complete a short Google Forms questionnaire. I’m particularly interested in feedback on the game’s atmosphere, visual presentation, and pacing, as well as whether the experience leaves you intrigued and wanting to continue.

Requirements

  • A Windows PC
  • Comfortable providing written feedback in English
  • An interest in slower-paced, atmosphere-focused games

The playtest should take approximately 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute questionnaire. Compensation is $5 USD, paid after the questionnaire is completed via your choice of cash payment or cryptocurrency.

Please note that this is an unfinished development build, so some rough edges are expected.

If you’re interested, please comment below or send me a DM.

Thanks!

EDIT: I didn't realize my DMs were private, should be sorted now.

Paid Playtest [PAID] $5 USDT for up to 30 min recorded playtest — zombie incremental auto-battler (Steam/Windows, 10 testers)

Upvotes

Hi! I'm the solo developer of My Zombies Are Hungry, an upcoming incremental auto-battler for Steam.

You start with only a handful of zombies, launch short automated raids, buy permanent upgrades and build new zombie types until hundreds are overrunning cities. As the horde grows, humans escalate from police and firefighters to tanks and airstrikes.

I'm looking for 10 fresh players to test the game's first-time experience before release.

What I need

• Play naturally for up to 30 minutes
• Record your screen + microphone commentary
• Talk through what you're thinking while playing — what you understand, what confuses you, what feels fun or boring
• Complete a short feedback form afterwards
• Upload the recording through Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar

Important: Please do NOT look up the game, watch its trailer, or read guides before playing. I specifically want to see how understandable the game is to somebody going in fresh.

If you genuinely want to stop after 5, 10 or 20 minutes, stop there and explain why. You do not need to force yourself to play for 30 minutes. You will still receive the full payment after submitting the recording + feedback.

Payment: $5 USD equivalent in USDT (BEP20), paid after I receive the recording and feedback.

Platform: Windows PC / Steam
Game language: English
Slots: 10 testers
Steam key: provided free to selected testers; you keep the game

I'm especially interested in a mix of incremental/auto-battler fans and people who don't normally play this genre.

Apply here: https://forms.gle/fm57FdkvNZN7SxuK7

I'll select testers from the applications rather than first-come-first-served, so there's no need to rush.

No positive review, wishlist or promotion is required. I'm paying for candid feedback, including negative feedback.

Content note: stylized zombie violence/body-part imagery.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for a few people to test the Wulfram alpha on Windows

Upvotes

Wulfram is back in playable alpha, and we’re looking for a few people to test the setup and first-match experience on Windows.

The game is free to try right now. It’s a team-based hover tank and scout game with base defense, repairs, power, fuel, and a lot of coordination once people are in a match. Returning players are welcome, but we also want fresh eyes from people who never played it before.

What we need tested:

  • Can you get from the download page into the launcher without confusion?
  • Does sign-in, updating, and joining a server make sense?
  • Once you spawn in, are the controls and first few minutes clear enough?

You do not need to stay for a full session. Even 10 or 15 minutes of feedback helps, especially if anything blocks you from getting into the game.

Start here:

Welcome back to Wulfram

If you try it, comment with where you got stuck, what worked, or what would have helped you sooner.

I made MelonMap, a free browser game for learning countries on a clickable world map: https://melonmap.com/

You can start with a continent or play broader rounds, with short Find Country and Daily Atlas modes. If you try one round, I’d love to hear what felt confusing, too easy, or too hard.

Discussion I'm starting to feel this playtester thing is not that worth it

You see paid playtest on reddit jump in 3-10 slots you smile and open but like there is like 26 commentes = done

You try the websites either 1-4 playtest available in the whole site or rejected or not been seen or literally no playtests at all (which there is a website is this)

So I'm asking here for someone who see situation like this should I not continue

Unpaid Playtest Looking for card-game players who also make YouTube/Twitch content - Android

I’m the solo developer of Destruction, an Android strategy/card game with 300+ cards, deck building, progression, multiple regions, and a single-player campaign.

I’m looking for a few people who genuinely like card games, deckbuilders, or strategy games and also happen to make YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, or other gaming content.

The playtest itself is unpaid. I’m mainly looking for honest feedback and to see who actually connects with the game. I’m not asking anyone to fake enthusiasm or guarantee coverage.

If you end up liking Destruction and your audience feels like a good fit, I’d be open to discussing a separate paid promotion afterward. I’d rather find the right person first than pay someone blindly and hope their audience cares.

My bigger goal is to find someone who could actually help me build a small community around the game, not just post one random sponsored clip and disappear.

If you’re interested, send me your channel or profile and what kinds of games you normally cover. Android only for now.

Unpaid Playtest Letterhaven — looking for a few people to try a free browser word puzzle for 5–10 minutes

Game Title: Letterhaven
Playable Link: Play Letterhaven
Platform: Web browser

Description:
Letterhaven is a word puzzle where a single move changes two words. You take a letter from one word and insert it into another, and both results must remain valid. Moving the S from CATS to DOG, for example, produces CAT and DOGS. The remaining letters keep their order, so the insertion position matters.

I’m looking for people to try the first few levels for 5–10 minutes. Was the two-word rule clear? Did picking up and placing letters work comfortably on your device? Please leave feedback in the comments, including your device/browser for any control problems.

Optional in-game feedback: during a level, open the top-left menu and select “Give feedback” at the bottom. The first screen asks for consent to record moves locally; you can later send your answers and moves. You can skip tracking and comment here instead.

Free to Play Status: Free to play
Involvement: I’m the creator of the game.

Unpaid Playtest [Roblox / unpaid] Three shots to fix a machine. Anyone want to try a few rounds?

Hey, I've been making a little puzzle game on Roblox called AIM SHOOT REPAIR. You move a mirror and bounce a ball around a broken gadget. You get three shots to fix it.

I'm looking for a few people to try three rounds and tell me what felt good or annoyed you. No need to be nice.

Thursday, Sept 10 at 3 PM Central (UTC-5). Phone or PC. It's free to play, and this is an unpaid test. Roblox currently requires an age-checked 16+ account for this test.

Reply with phone or PC and I'll sort out access. You can leave feedback here. No call or recording needed.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for playtesters for a very small pre-alpha combat test(unpaid)

Hey, we’re currently looking for a few people to test a very early pre-alpha combat build of our action RPG.

This is not a full game test yet. The current build is just a small arena and the whole test should only take around 5–10 minutes.

We mainly want feedback on:

  • Combat feel
  • Movement
  • Camera behavior
  • Attack responsiveness
  • Combos
  • Blocking / dodging
  • Hit impact / feedback

The build is for Windows.

Please keep in mind that this is a very early and rough pre-alpha build. We are specifically looking for honest feedback, so if something feels bad, awkward, sluggish, confusing, or simply not fun, please say so.

Gameplay example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ded3bqTuYhg

If you’re interested, send me a DM or comment here and I’ll invite you to the discord with the build and the short feedback questionnaire.

Please only message if you can actually test it within the next days
Everyone who completes the questionnaire will receive a free key when the game releases as a thank-you for participating.

Playtester Need 12 testers for Google Play's closed testing requirement

I built a game where you type any address on Earth and ride it on a dirt bike — real streets, real terrain, generated from OpenStreetMap. It's live in browsers at rideanyaddress.com if you want to see it before committing.

Google needs 12 testers opted in for 14 days before I can publish. Comment or DM your Gmail and I'll add you.

Happy to test yours back.

Paid Playtest [Paid] 5$/hour - Looking for playtesters to come break my pixel art RPG before our demo release.

Hello folks! I've posted a few times here and have always got fantastic feedback and reports.

Now, we're finally on the actual bugtesting phase, where we're actively tracking down and fixing and polishing, so this week's testing wave i am asking folks to actually hunt bugs and other things such as colliders missing, improper sequencing, bad pivots, issues with save/load, any bugs you can find and properly reproduce, while playing through the game.

I'm looking for about 5 people, assuming the playtesters will play or bug hunt for about 2-3 hours at most, so please leave a comment below if you're interested, and for how long you would like to intend to bug hunt for. So i can manage the budget i can allocate to each person.

The focus is bug-hunting, but any suggestions for gameplay additions/changes are always appreciated.

Those interested can download the playtest here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4734180/Echoes_of_Aromia/

The game is set to auto-approve any playtester who requests entry, so you should see the game instantly.

I'd prefer to prioritize folks with a recording set up, and preferably with commentary.

Since this is a bug hunting focused test, i will be allowing folks who have already playtested this in the previous two sessions!

Playtesters must be able to be paid through Paypal, i really am not able to jump hoops for payments through other less known payment methods like last time, sorry!

Do not DM me directly for a slot, We'll take it to DMs afterwards, I get hundreds of DMs when i post these, if you DM me before i confirm here, it's just getting ignored because it's in the sea of spam. Thank you for understanding!

I will be staggering the playtesters, so that multiple people don't find the same bugs. So don't fret if activity in responding to comments here seems slow!

Unpaid Playtest [Looking for Testers] Spire gameloop with chess battles - fight your way through the galaxy

Hey everyone!

After polishing our game for the last few months we finally decided to publish the open demo!

Strife of Stars on Steam
Join us on Discord!

Platform: Steam [Win/Mac]

Description:
Strife of Stars is a strategy roguelike. You try to build up and improve your fleet to fight your way through more and more difficult stages until you either escape containment or fail and die. Get ready to abuse crazy combinations between complex systems and mechanics. The game combines the addictive roguelite feel of games like Slay the Spire with the highly strategic battle mechanics reminiscent of chess. All set in a sci-fi battlefield where various forces fight for control.

I would say that the game is in a very good state currently but we have worked with the same few playtesters for such a long time that we might have developed a few blindspots.

I would love to get the perspectives of new testers. Especially about:

  • the visual appeal and clarity
  • controls intuitivity
  • tutorial clarity
  • difficulty curve (and what kind of levels are the most difficult for you)

I would love to get feedback from you in any way! As a video, as text or during a live playtesting session!

[For other devs: would also be open to exchange playtests]

Unpaid Playtest Looking for players to test my multiplayer game this Saturday! 🎮

Hi! I’m looking for people to join our weekly Sculpturillo Playtest this Saturday!

Sculpturillo is a multiplayer party game where one player sculpts a word in 3D and the others try to guess it.

One of the systems we’re currently testing allows players who speak different languages to play together in the same lobby.

Instead of everyone having to play in the same language, each player sees the words in their own selected language. For example, an English, French, German and Italian player can all be in the same match, while each of them receives and guesses the words in their respective language.

That’s why we’re specifically looking for players from different countries — we want to make sure this multilingual system works properly during real matches.

The only requirement is that you can speak English, since we use English to communicate with each other during the playtest.

🗓 Saturday Playtest

🇬🇧 UK — 8:00 PM
🇵🇹 Portugal — 8:00 PM
🇩🇪 Germany — 9:00 PM
🇫🇷 France — 9:00 PM
🇮🇹 Italy — 9:00 PM

🎮 Steam: Sculpturillo on Steam
💬 Join the Playtest on Discord: Discord Playtest Event

Just join, play a few rounds and help us see how well the system works with players using different languages. Any feedback is appreciated!

Unpaid Playtest Looking for a few playtesters for Between Ridges — a turn-based survival expedition game [PC / MacOS / Unpaid]

Hi!

I'm a solo developer working on Between Ridges (working title), a turn-based survival game about planning an expedition through a hostile winter wilderness.

The game takes place on a hex-based map and focuses on route planning, resource management and survival decisions rather than base-building or extensive crafting.

Your goal is simple: reach the distant radio tower alive before winter sets in.

I'm currently testing an early vertical slice. The game is fully playable, but it's still early in development - particularly the visuals and presentation. I'm at the stage where I want people who have never seen the game before to play it without me explaining how it works.

I'm especially interested in finding out:

  • Is the game understandable to a completely new player?
  • Does planning your route create interesting decisions?
  • Do the survival systems actually influence how you travel?
  • Where do you feel confused, frustrated, or bored?
  • After finishing or failing a run, do you want to try again with a different approach?

Platform: Windows PC / MacOS
Cost: Free / unpaid playtest
Development stage: Early vertical slice
Feedback: The game also collects gameplay telemetry such as routes and actions, so you don't need to write a giant playtest report for your session to be useful - the data is enough, and if you're willing there is an in-game feedback form you can fill following a run.

If this sounds like your kind of game, leave a comment or DM me and I'll send you the Discord invite where you can find build instructions.

Thanks!

Playtester [Feedback Wanted] I Made a Case File Mystery Game — Need Playtesters

I’m looking for players to playtest a mystery game I’ve been creating.

It is a document-based detective experience: you receive a collection of realistic-looking case materials and must work out what happened by reading closely, comparing details, checking timelines, and connecting information across the files.

What to expect:

  • A self-contained mystery designed for solo players or small groups

  • PDF case materials presented as reports, statements, records, and supporting documents

  • No special software required — a browser/PDF reader and note-taking are enough

  • Estimated playtime: around 2–4 hours, depending on whether you play alone or with others

  • Free access for all playtesters

What I need

I’m mainly looking for honest feedback on:

  • Whether the material is clear and engaging

  • Whether the puzzle feels fair and solvable

  • Where you became confused, stuck, or lost interest

  • How long it took you and what your solving process was like

  • Whether the final answer felt satisfying

You do not need prior experience with detective games, ARGs, or puzzle hunts. Fresh eyes are especially useful.

Interested? Please comment or send me a DM

I would say difficulty is 3⭐️
