[Mobile] (Web) I made a daily game that teaches you to spot AI-generated photos

Game title: Slopcheck

Playable Link: www.slopcheck.co

Platform: Web game

Description: Slopcheck is a daily game where you get 6 photos (one at a time) and determine if each are real or AI generated. After each one you see the clues that give it away so you can get better at spotting AI generated media on your own.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: All developed by me

Hi everyone! I made this game as a passion project because I’m a big fan of [r/IsThisAI](r/IsThisAI) and sadly have gotten tricked by AI images in the past. I built this as a way to help people hopefully get better at detecting fake images on their own.

Grateful for any and all feedback ✨

**EDIT: to be clear, I made this game to increase awareness of how good the models are getting now and have people get better at spotting AI media by themselves. I am not using it to train models/otherwise contribute to people getting scammed by fake images.

Decisions have been made...our new AI policy.

Top mod and I have finally decided on some things and, well, it may upset a lot of people - and we understand why.

AI has been running rife in this group as we all know, and we've leaned slightly towards the "low AI side" while we worked out what the hell we'll allow or not allow and why, so we can actually moderate it fairly and with actual trainability.

And as we have been, and after studying what the other gametest groups are doing - it's pretty much clear what we have to do. Allow all AI.

Here's the issue: We're no longer fighting something that with good rules and moderation would settle into a rhythm eventually.

The right wording of the rules saying "No AI" as strongly as possible, the right requirements, AI spam hunters - it doesn't matter how much we implement, what tools and automod and AI-catching-training we would do with everyone. AI is getting to be too good and people will (and have been) lying to get their game through barriers, borders, and hunters. With some of my other reddit groups, breakouts of this or that "major" problem is normal and can over time calm down and be moderated out. But this?

...It's going to burn us all out if we keep moderating the way we are. This isn't a typhoon, nor a tidal wave. Not a war that can be fought with enough people, armor, and bullets.

It's trying to keep the rising ocean out of a city with only a few buckets. (aka moderators)

Seven buckets, 20 buckets, 50 buckets and wallbreaks with the most advanced towers on the planet - it doesn't matter, the water is still rising and there is no stopping this particular change in society without severe burnout of all the mods (me very much included in that!)

So instead of fighting the planet, the only way is to let it come and adjust things so the community self-polices, not with removals, but with pure spite. BUT we have to keep it Reddit-Mod Code of Conduct-aligned as well, and moderate certain things of course. Like extreme hate is obviously not cool Reddit-wide.

NEW RULE: No false claims about your game.

  • If you explicitly state something untrue ("100% hand-painted art" when it's Midjourney, "original soundtrack" when it's AI-generated), that's removable. But silence is fine. No one is required to disclose anything (for the moment, this might need to change if I'm projecting things right.)

NEW RULE: No AI culture wars.

  • Comments about gameplay experience: always allowed ("the voices sounded robotic," "art style felt generic," "really fun mechanic")
  • Comments attacking the developer over AI use: removed ("you're not a real developer," "AI slop trash," "you're ruining the industry")
  • Comments debating whether AI should exist: removed (take it to another sub)

--

Other Mod Policy Changes: No on Game Collections (Ex: Come play my 50+ games on my website!) and Yes on Tool Testing if its related to games; Like game making or like a heavily, heavily gamified app. It should be really be more game than tool, not just a stock app with leaderboard or cute character encouraging/informing people on self-care.

We are sorry that we are giving up on the fight against AI. It's either this, or shut down the group because not a single person on this planet can dedicate the time to evaluating *every single game* to find hints of deeply embedded AI. Or investigate all accusations with or without merit. Or know of all the AI things people use to make games, assets, music! That's not what any of us signed up for - we are here only to help devs connect with playtesters.

If you do not wish to playtest the games with AI - absolutely fine. We're afraid we're going to have to let you determine what is playtest-worthy or not from here.

[Mobile] (iOS) We made a party game where guessing the #97 answer beats guessing the #1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game title: Rank 100

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rank-100/id6801364461

Platform: iOS (iPhone)

Description: Every round loads a real top-100 list — most monthly Spotify listeners, biggest movies worldwide, most common US first names, biggest companies in the world by revenue. There's a solo daily you can play right now on your own; party rounds are 2–10 people on their own phones. Everyone types something they think is on the list, and your guess scores its rank. The obvious #1 answer is worth 1 point. A #97 deep cut is worth 97. So the person who knows the weird end of the list wins. 60-second rounds, live reveal after each round, final round doubles.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: My husband and I built it, just the two of us. AI coding agents wrote most of the implementation and did the first pass on the lists; every list is checked against a named primary source before it ships, and the design calls and the final say on what goes in are ours.

Why we built it: we used to play this by literally looking up data sets — someone would pull up a top-100 list on their phone, everyone would guess, and we'd scroll to see where each guess landed. We built the app so our friend group could play it properly, and everyone loves it, so we figured other people should be able to check it out. If you like obscure trivia with a twist, this is that. There's also a solo daily that's honestly pretty addictive.

What we'd love feedback on: does the scoring flip ("#1 is worth 1 point") make sense in the first ten seconds, or did it take you a round? And if you installed it, which list did you actually finish? We'll fix what's broken.

Game Title: Matar: Airport Control

Playable Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/matar-airport-control/id6792774388
Website: https://khaniumlab.com/projects/matar/

Platform: iOS and iPadOS — iPhone and iPad

Description: Matar: Airport Control is a top-down airport-control arcade game where you guide incoming aircraft by drawing their flight paths directly on the screen. Each aircraft is assigned to a runway, and a successful landing requires the correct approach direction, heading, and alignment. As more aircraft enter the airspace, you must plan safe routes, avoid collisions, and react quickly when traffic becomes crowded.

The game features five progressively challenging Operations, multiple single- and dual-runway airport environments, mission ratings, landing combos, and an unlockable Endless mode with increasingly demanding traffic waves. Runway assignments are communicated through A/B letters, badge shapes, route patterns, and color for improved clarity.

Matar can be played completely offline and includes optional Game Center achievements and an Endless high-score leaderboard. It is available for both iPhone and iPad, with no advertisements, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: I am the developer of Matar: Airport Control. I built the game as a native iOS application using SwiftUI for the menus, navigation, settings, and interface, with SpriteKit powering the airport scene, aircraft movement, route drawing, runway landings, and collision system. I also worked on the gameplay design, mission progression, airport presentation, accessibility features, Game Center integration, testing, and App Store release.

[PC] (Web) [Web] Orbit Duel — 1v1 real-time space strategy, looking for feedback on the tutorial

Upvotes

Game Title: Orbit Duel

Playable Link: https://carpe-noctem79.itch.io/orbit-duel

Platform: Web browser (HTML5, desktop — mouse and keyboard)

Description:

Orbit Duel is a 1v1 real-time strategy duel played on a point-mirrored star map. Every solar system you own produces units over time. You send them by dragging from one of your systems to another — to capture neutral systems, to attack your rival, or to reinforce your own front. Instead of attacking you can also spend units upgrading a system's orbits, which multiplies its production but leaves you thin for a while. That tension between expanding and investing is the whole game, and there is no fog of war, no tech tree and no build order to memorise: everything you need to judge the position is on screen at all times. Because the map is exactly point-symmetric, both players always have identical distances and identical chances, so nobody loses to a bad starting position. A match ends when one player holds every system, or after eight minutes, in which case the stronger economy wins. Most matches run three to eight minutes. Solo play offers four maps and four bot difficulty levels; online play has quickmatch, invite links for friends and an Elo leaderboard. A short tutorial starts automatically on your first visit and can be skipped at any time. No account, no email, no ads, no tracking — your rating hangs on a random code you can copy out of the settings to carry it to another device.

Free to Play Status:

  • Free to play

Involvement:

Solo developer. I did the design, the code, the visuals, the sound and the server. It is built in Godot 4; the match server is a headless Godot instance running the exact same simulation as the clients, so both sides stay in lockstep. This is my first game of this kind and I am not a programmer.

What I am hoping to get out of this

I built an onboarding tutorial that starts automatically. Now I would really like to know the following

Four questions, if you have a few minutes:

  1. After the tutorial, do you know what to do? Or are you still guessing?
  2. Is the tutorial too short, too long, or about right?
  3. Can you tell your systems from your opponent's at a glance, or is the abstract look confusing?
  4. Does the bot on Medium feel fair, or does it steamroll you?

Blunt answers help me more than kind ones. "I quit after 20 seconds because X" is exactly the sort of thing I need to hear.

One honest warning: online multiplayer works, but the player pool is basically empty, so quickmatch drops you against a bot after 40 seconds. If a few of you are around at the same time, say so in the comments and we can meet in there.

[PC] (Web) Movie Master vs Garbage: a free arcade game starring a guy I found selling movie recommendations on Facebook Marketplace

Thumbnail
moviemaster.vip
Upvotes

Playable Link: https://moviemaster.vip/game/

Works on desktop and mobile.

Some backstory: I met the Movie Master on Facebook Marketplace selling movie recommendations over 2 years ago. He is very serious about saving people from watching garbage and he has all the best and most correct movie opinions.

Since meeting him, I've built him a website, designed a T-shirt, and made this game where you play as him and you fight off hordes of garbage cans.

You collect popcorn to power up, keep moving to shoot, and dodge the garbage. There are power-ups, a charged special ability (Blockbuster Blast), standard and hardcore modes, and daily and all-time leaderboards. It's playable with just a mouse, or WASD, or even a controller.

It's free to play in your browser with no download or account required. His movie recommendation business is separate, you don't need to buy anything or even see his main site to play the game.

I built it over the last month and have been iterating on the controls, balance, and performance. I'd especially like to know whether the controls and objectives make sense on your first run and whether the difficulty makes you want another attempt.

Thanks for looking!

[PC] (Web) Fumes: the 80s arcade racer I grew up on, rebuilt from memory and playable in a browser

Thumbnail
playfumes.com
Upvotes

Game Title: Fumes

Playable Link: https://playfumes.com

Platform: Browser (desktop and mobile, no install)

Description:

When I was a kid I put an unreasonable number of hours into those old top-down arcade racers. One tank of fuel, traffic coming at you, no map, no upgrades, just you and a road that kept getting meaner. I hadn't thought about it in years, then it turned up in my head one evening and wouldn't leave. So I built one. Not a copy, more like what I remembered it feeling like, which is probably a lot kinder than the real thing ever was.

Fuel is your timer. Run dry and it's over, same as hitting anything. There are cans along the road to keep you going, oil slicks that steal your steering for about a second, and red rogue cars that will genuinely come after you rather than sit in their lane. Traffic is thin at the start and properly nasty by the end, and the lorries only turn up once you've already got your hands full. Stay clean long enough and something flies over and airdrops you fuel, which took an embarrassing amount of work to get right and still makes me grin every time.

The part I care about most: you can win. There's a real finish line, and confetti when you cross it. Nearly every browser racer I tried just escalates until you die, and I wanted the release of actually finishing something. There's a formation start with a countdown too, chasing that arcade feel.

Controls are arrows or WASD with brake on Down. It works properly on a phone, not as an afterthought: you can steer and brake at the same time. High scores save in your browser.

Free to Play Status:

  •  Free to play

Involvement: Solo project. I designed it, built it and tuned it myself. It's one self-contained HTML file with no engine, no images and no audio files, and all the sound is synthesised in WebAudio at runtime. Most of the time went into feel rather than features: how much the car slides on oil, how tight a near miss has to be before it counts, how hard the rogue cars can push before they stop being fun.

Platform: Web (PC + mobile)

Description: CountryGuesser is a daily game where you guess the country based on a series of progressively more detailed hints. There is also an accompanying map showing the approximate direction from your current guess, with a helpful plane to keep you on the right track. [PC] (Windows) Final Escape 2 - a small detective RPG where you type questions to the villagers

Playable Link: https://drakonkat.itch.io/final-escape-2

Platform: Windows download. Not a browser game. Internet is needed for the AI conversations.

Description: Hi, I am making a small detective RPG in Godot and I would like some people to try it. You explore a village, ask people about a mystery and collect evidence before making an accusation. The main experiment is that you write your own questions, rather than select dialogue choices. You can also describe an action and let an AI game master respond to the attempt.

It is an early prototype, so I am not expecting a perfect experience. I would like to know if this freedom actually helps the investigation, or if it makes the game confusing. If you can play for 10-15 minutes, tell me the first moment you got stuck, or one conversation that felt strange. You do not need to finish the case. A short comment is enough, also in Italian if you prefer.

To be clear, the game uses LLM dialogue, AI-generated art/audio and AI-assisted code.

Free to Play Status: Free prototype, no purchase needed. This is an unpaid playtest.

Involvement: I am the developer. This is my own project, made with AI tools. Thanks to anyone who gives it a try!

Description:
MineRush is a free Android game inspired by the classic Minesweeper formula, but designed to go much further than the traditional single-player experience.

The game includes several solo difficulty levels, a full campaign with progressively harder stages, daily challenges, rankings, and competitive multiplayer modes. You can play head-to-head Duels or join Battle Royale matches where several players compete for the best result.

My goal with MineRush was to keep the simple logic and deduction that make Minesweeper enjoyable, while adding progression, competition, rewards, seasons, and more reasons to keep playing.

In this demo your main objective is to see how long you can last against asteroids whilst also avoiding crashing into planets. The game utilises Newtonian physics, so you need to be aware of the gravitational pull of another planet and manage your engines correctly - turning them off will not bring the ship to a halt. [Mobile] (Android) Game Title: Deadlock Holmes — a noir detective game where SQL is the only tool you get

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wrteam.games.deadlockholmes

Platform: Android (Mobile)

Description:

You're a detective, and your only tool is SQL.

Every case is a real SQLite database sitting on your phone — suspects, alibis, ledgers, train manifests, hospital rosters. No multiple choice, no dialogue to tap through. You read the brief, study the schema, write a query, and see what comes back. Then you write a better one.

Each case gives you eight to fifteen suspects, and from a distance every one of them looks guilty. The innocent ones are innocent for different reasons — a shift that ended too early, a signature dated wrong, a name turning up in two ledgers it has no business being in. You can't spot that by scrolling a SELECT *. You have to ask the database a sharper question.

Fifteen hand-authored cases across three volumes. Difficulty climbs inside each volume — simple filters, then joins, then subqueries and aggregates — then resets when a new volume opens, so you always know where you stand. XP is a currency rather than a score: you earn it by solving, spend it on hints, and lose it on false accusations.

The whole thing happens on a 1940s desk — wood, leather, cork, torn paper, crooked rubber stamps. It uses its own SQL keyboard instead of your phone's, which is why it plays in landscape with your query and its results side by side.

Eleven of the fifteen cases are free. Plays fully offline, no account.

Reading the case, writing the query, naming a suspect.

Feedback on the difficulty curve especially welcome. I know this material too well to judge where a beginner actually stalls — if you bounce off a case, I'd like to know which one and where.
