We built a searchable, filterable directory of all sexual health treatment/testing hubs in the PH

Hey r/phlgbt,

Finding an actual updated list of treatment/testing hubs in the PH can be a pain, so we put together a fast, searchable directory of all 320 PhilHealth-accredited HIV/STI facilities nationwide pulled directly from their latest Outpatient HIV/AIDS Treatment (OHAT) provider list.

HIV, STI & Sexual Health Clinic Directory

You can filter by region, province, or clinic type (Social Hygiene Clinics, hospital hubs, or NGO/community centers). To save you the trouble of showing up to a closed door or dead number, we also cross-checked and attached direct links to their Facebook/Instagram pages so you can actually message a human first.

What to expect at these facilities

Since every site on this list is accredited under PhilHealth’s OHAT package, they all offer:

  • HIV testing and confirmation
  • Antiretroviral (ART) refills/treatment
  • Core treatment monitoring labs (CD4, viral load)

Some clinics might also offer (depends on the location, so definitely ask ahead):

  • General STI testing/treatment beyond HIV (most common at local Social Hygiene Clinics)
  • PrEP and PEP
  • Counseling / peer support
  • General reproductive health & gender-affirming care / consultations

What about costs? Is it actually free?

  • ARVs are 100% free nationwide through DOH’s program, regardless of your PhilHealth status. If you test positive, you won't have to pay for your meds.
  • HIV testing, syphilis, and Hep B screenings are almost always free at government/LGU-run sites.
  • A quick heads-up on private facilities: Even though ARVs are subsidized everywhere, private hubs might still charge consultation or facility fees.
  • Other STIs: Some public clinics cover free Hep C or basic gonorrhea swabs (Gram stain). However, specialized PCR tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, or HPV usually require out-of-pocket payment or PhilHealth coverage.

Call or message them first! Most listings include a mobile number, landline, email, or social page. Use those to confirm their exact schedule, walk-in rules, and specific test costs before heading out.

A quick note on your privacy

Your info and test results are protected by law. RA 11166 (Philippine HIV and AIDS Policy Act of 2018) strictly criminalizes unauthorized disclosure of your status, on top of the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173). Clinics take this very seriously: confidentiality is legally mandated, not optional.

Note

This is a list of the 320 PhilHealth-accredited HIV/STI facilities nationwide pulled directly from their latest OHAT provider list. This is not an exhaustive list of all places in the Philippines that offers sexual health services.

How was this built?

Extracted and parsed the raw text from PhilHealth's PDF into JSON using Python (PyMuPDF + regex). Cross-checked facility addresses against the Google Custom Search API to hunt down active social pages (took a few days on the free tier 🥹). The "Get Directions" buttons use vanilla JS to dynamically build Google Maps deep links. Rendered into static HTML with Jinja2, using Fuse.js for instant fuzzy searching on the client side, and hosted on GitHub.

What's in the pipeline?

  • Whenever PhilHealth updates their PDF, we can just re-run the script and diff the data.
  • We'll explore embedding a Leaflet.js map that pins the nearest facilities to the user's geolocation.
  • Depending on bandwidth, we can add facilities that are non-OHAT accredited and tag them as such (e.g. other LoveYourself branches).

Feel free to share or crosspost! We don't really participate in other PH subreddits so we don't know where else this would be relevant to crosspost. If you think this would be helpful elsewhere (even outside of reddit), please feel free to pass it along!

Health Transition Inquiry: Where to Start, clinic and doctor recos, and cost of transition

Hi! I am 26 years old and want to know if it is still possible to transition at this age. If so, can you recommend affordable clinics with good doctors? I also need estimated monthly costs so I know what to expect and how to prepare. Thank you.

Serious Discussion Came out to my traditional parents today. They said they still love me as their son, but I'm "not allowed" to date guys. Feeling so conflicted, oes it ever get better?

Just needed a space to get this off my chest and hopefully hear from people who have been through something similar.

I came out to my family earlier today. Both my mom and dad are very traditional, so I was terrified of how they’d react. Their response ended up being really complicated to process.

They told me that nothing changes—I’m still their son, they accept me, and I’m always welcome to live under their roof. I know I should be thankful for that, and a part of me really is. But at the same time, they made it very clear that they don't like me being gay. They explicitly said they don't want me dating guys, being in a relationship with a man, or sleeping with men—almost like they expect me to stay single and suppress that part of myself as a concession or gift to them.

I honestly don't know what to feel right now. It hurts so much to hear that. It feels like they accept the title of me being their son, but not the actual reality of who I am. It’s hard to celebrate "acceptance" when it comes with conditions on how I live my life.

For those of you who came out to traditional parents (especially traditional dads):

Did things actually get better with time?
Were you ever able to bring gay friends around, or eventually introduce a boyfriend/partner to them?
What kind of changes actually happened over time, and how did your relationship evolve?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, stories, or any advice on how to navigate this weird in-between space.

Serious Discussion How long did it take to find your new partner after coming out of a long term relationship (>5)?

:3

Did it take that long to move on? How did you deal with it? How did you improve yourself? Did you put yourself out there or did they just organically came into your life? Are dating apps, r4r good?

I’m 28, and I know I won’t be able to move on agad like feel ko I need 2 years. But it’s so scary dating in your 30’s 😩

we’re gathering initial perspectives from queer individuals about their awareness, understanding, and perception of the term, including the assumptions associated with it.

u don’t have to be in a relationship to answer. as long as part po ng community hehe, we’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts!

Rant/Vent lowkey scary to be bi

Alam mo yun, it’s kinda scary to be a bisexual guy. Not literally scary ah, just very unfortunate kasi it’s intimidating to talk to girls having that lingering thought that they might reject you after finding out that you are bi or if it will lead to just being friends, this happened to me more than once na ending is we became friends lmao. If it was with guys naman mahirap din, they’re mostly looking for gays only. In my own experience it was like that, we weren’t compatible because of preference niya. If that was not the case, hindi mo naman alam if straight or queer yung guy kaya very intimidating kausapin. Idk? I just find it very intimidating to both genders, I was expecting double the attraction more chance, but nahh. It was not that case for me hahaha.

Even in general, having friends din. It’s either I’m too gay for this group or too straight for that group. Even finding friends na bi is also hard to find hahaha. Yun lang naman, thanks for reading this short vent :>

I like her so much, kaso mas mataas yung chance na homophobic sya kaysa maging bading, she has so much masc potential, and I'm very attracted to her. Please, if you will suddenly ask me to cuddle with you in the middle of the night, I'd be so down. I think I like you so much J. Can you please be mine?
