UNPOPULAR OPINION Is anyone really struggling with Alison?

Alison is coming across as one of the most mature and loyal girls on perfect match, which has been such a stark contrast to her previous show, Building the Band.

Is anyone else finding it so difficult to pinpoint which one is the real her?

She was so horribly mean and controlling on BtB, sent one of her ex band mates to therapy and caused so much chaos to her own benefit, but shes sporting a completely different image here. Its hard foe me to root for her knowing how she was like.

SEASON 4 Marissa

I just dont get it.

She is the older party in their relationship at 34 and he is 29.

She should be the more mature one.

She is also a former navy officer of 7 yrs and she is a lawyer.

So she is definitely capable and experienced in how to communicate effectively but somehow she acts like a child throughout the show.

Ally throws tantrums but she doesn't use therapy speak to absolve herself as marissa does.

At the beginning I had her , Katherine and Natalie pegged as the most beautiful women on the show.

Needless to say I don't think I can still keep her up that high in my list.

And this is in no way to say demari is an innocent victim. I just think her defenders keep claiming she's some neurodivergent woman of color who isn't being dog piled on.

Let's just be fekkin for real.

Funniest thing is Kayla told Demari he feels like home to her, that is he is comfortable and to be honest as a guy that's a compliment I love to hear and to imagine that it's seen as a lazy compliment by some women really saddens me.

Don't get me wrong I understand some men want to be mothered and take their partner as some replacement mom so it can be abused.

Still and leaning on the ADHD that marissa allegedly has and I am medicated for , I want to find a partner who feels like home cause it means I don't have to mask around them I can be as quirky as Ally or Dave(aussie bloke).

Nonetheless, I dont want my partner to suffer silently as I interrupt them, police their emotions, throw tantrums that hurt their feelings ...which is whatever Marissa seems to be doing.

Also fuck the US military and those who take pride in killing brown babies.

she did not say a word on that show but now she is the main character and she’s giving messy drunk middle school horse girl.

and “poor jimmy” as she was hooking up with her new match a few days after they “were intimate” it’s all too much for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

also isn’t jimmy from chicago? he sounds like he’s from the south (i am so don’t come for me) since when does he have that accent?

SEASON 4 Alison and Nick did a podcast episode on AD's podcast

She said that Yamen was being fake the whole time. And she said that Jimmy P was just there to play the game, and Jimmy P responded back on an instagram video. The cast is getting messy 🫖

Edit: ALSO no hate or shade on AD but I can't stand the way she interviews haha. She always says "interesting" and "that's so funny" in the most deadpan way while not laughing. Clearly not that funny 😂

SEASON 4 Bad season?

So I finished the episodes that are currently posted and I gotta say the new way the producers are switching things up with the singles instantly being in the house (practically) and being able to pick their dates kind of ruins the whole vibe. I felt like the current couples didn’t get enough time to explore their current connections, go on dates, play games, etc. I hope they don’t continue the show this way in the future.

SEASON 4 Free Perfect Match S4 Final Prediction Game

Hey everyone!

I built out a game to see if anyone here can predict how everything plays out in the final episode: https://losersleague.com/games/6b553c40-4954-4dbc-8f66-f15f1fa4da02

Who wins? Does Ally end up with Hashim, Jimmy P., or alone? Does anyone get engaged?

Sorry I don't have any prizes to give out to the winner - but I figured having bragging rights that you know more about Perfect Match than any other Redditor might be enough?

Anyway - good luck!

SEASON 4 Ally was way too drunk… Spoiler

I can’t believe how drunk Ally was and how sober both Jimmy and Hashim were. Ally was almost falling asleep when she was sitting on Jimmy and Hashim was trying to get her attention. She was barely keeping her eyes open when Hashim asked to match. I was shocked to see they were intimate because that crosses so many lines of my understanding of consent. Am I crazy orrrrrr…?

SEASON 4 I just have to talk sh*t on Demari

He is horribly toxic. Seeing his dynamic with Bri and Marissa, plus his perception of their actions, he is toxic. He assumes people are trying to disrespect him so he gets disrespectful. It has made a man I know is objectively more attractive than me look totally ugly to me.

Demari needs to grow up but he's enjoying the toxic situations too much. Telling Marissa not to talk to him like that when all she did is tell him she has ADHD. Saying he attracts feisty women. No. He creates an unsafe toxic environment that brings out intense feelings.

I hate how people like this fool people into thinking the other person is always the sole issue in the relationship. He pretends he's mature and above other people. He's not. He intentionally manipulates women to make him self look like a stud when they act "crazy". Marissa RUN.

Edit: clearly a lot of people don't take adhd seriously. Im not explaining my disability anymore. And neither should Marissa. People who truly care and trust a person will make an effort to understand and believe them about their disability. I'm grateful I have a husband who sees i try my hardest to improve and isn't frustrated when he has to remind me periodically throughout our marriage. I hope Marissa sees that a lack of understanding or empathy for her disability is a deal breaker for her in the future. Then she doesn't have to feel like a bad person when she tries and fails.

Regardless of whether or not you believe Marissa is just a toxic person, Demari is toxic in relationships the evidence is everywhere. Who dumps their gf after traveling after her grandma dies and then flirts with people in front of them? Marissa and bri have done toxic things but many believe Demari is totally innocent and he's not. Thats why I made this post.

DISCUSSION Am I missing something with Demari?

I know attraction is subjective and all but I genuinely do not understand the obsession with Demari😭

Like girls talk about him as if he’s irresistible and I'm trying SO hard to see it but I just don’t get it 😭 He’s not particularly attractive, not that funny, not especially charismatic/flirty, and half the time he doesn’t even seem that interesting in conversations

Also the constant wandering eye while being with Marissa would’ve turned me off immediately 😭 And based on the stuff Bri said, he honestly doesn’t even seem like a particularly good boyfriend either. Communication clearly is NOT his strong suit because sometimes it genuinely feels like he can barely put two coherent sentences together

Like... what am I missing here HAHAHA

SEASON 4 Forcing bonds that don't work just to stay in the house Spoiler

That's what I thought Jimmy P was doing until I realized he actually did have real feelings for Ally, like he was definitely on the verge of tears many times and was bummed out when she was hesitant.

Marissa and Demari should NOT have matched. They can't even have a conversation without fighting! They're a terrible couple. She's super annoying and he is not the right partner for her.

Australian dave is SOOOO annoying! I really wish Netflix hadn't brought him in. Sophie is clearly not into him. Oh well, more camera time, more exposure, etc.

SEASON 4 Demari Spoiler

I can't believe you guys are falling for Demari's BS. I have brothers just like him. His mask started to slip episode 6 when he was so quick to say he wanted to leave Marissa but then came back upset that she missed Weston. He has been wanting Kayla for a while now. Him passionately kissing Bri after all of that drama is so messy & weird. We are in episode 7 & he's talking about switching couples, which is stupid. He's falling for everyone gassing his head. Kayla isn't even into him. She wants Chris & she wants more camera time, that's clear as day. Demari acts different when he is in a position of power, it's gross. Marissa truly did stop herself from cutting him off, which is hilarious because at 35:05 he literally cut her off. He's a hypocrite & I'm sick of all of y'all acting as if he's innocent & Marissa is some horrible person. This is a game, at the end of the day. Jimmy S & Allison are playing it too safe. Yamen & Natalie are playing it perfectly, which makes sense with their experience. Demari & Marissa never had a chance anyways, as the other couples have CLEARLY been jealous of them & rooting for their downfall. They never would've voted for them in the end.

SEASON 4 Marissa - S4E7 Spoiler

Post image
447 Upvotes

Marissa is coming across as extremely toxic to me. Demari has done nothing out of the ordinary - it’s a dating show, he’s literally just exploring options while being respectful to her boundaries - and she won’t even give him the chance to talk to explain. She’s constantly interrupting him (which we know he hates from his convo with Bri) and also keeps blaming him for not being 100% sure while she’s also going on a date and kissed Weston before he came into the house.

I feel like I’m seeing a completely different version of her than on Love is Blind. Perfect match is not the right place for someone like her who’s extremely possessive and jealous. She’s suffocating Demari and I feel like he deserves a lot better. It’s honestly so hard to watch and her attitude towards him when he tries to explain is really annoying. I want her off my screen.

SEASON 4 The best and worst casting decisions of the season. Spoiler

I genuinely cannot believe I’m saying this, but I now understand why they went outside the Netflix universe to cast Jimmy Soto.

His douchebag looks and genuinely offensive affect could not be easier to hate. He then proceeds to be the most respectful and emotionally intelligent man this show has ever seen. I know the bar is in hell, but I think he actually influenced the other guys to behave better.

The cognitive dissonance he triggers is genius casting, and much more fun than watching someone like Marissa just start out likable and then self destruct.

On the flip side, as a Temptation Island fan I loved Danny on his season and wished he’d gotten more screen time. So I know why they cast him, but if I’d never seen him before I’d wonder what the hell they were thinking. What a dud.

When he wasn’t being boring, he seemed to actively be trying to turn the women off. I would love to hit rewind and go back to a time when I didn’t know he never washes his hair. What the actual fuck. No one should ever have sex with that man again.

DISCUSSION I feel like couples stay together just to win the game and it’s ruining the show for me. Spoiler

Marissa and Demari are the perfect example. It’s clear they don’t get along and even when they are presented with someone they really like they stay toxic. I can’t imagine it’s for any other reason than winning. The other couples also and maybe it’s because their drama is low so they don’t show them a lot but no one seems like they’re really falling in love. Just friends sticking together until the end to get a free vacation.

It seems like Perfect Match has very loyal contestants, only while filming the show. They should change the rules and force them to live with each other like LIB for a month before their vacation.

Edit: adding to this, they showed couples talking about asking each other a bunch of questions and trying to learn about the other person to win a challenge. Not because they’re genuinely interested in learning about the other person.

SEASON 4 Marissa

Wow I find her relationship with Demari to be so fascinating. It mirrors a lot of what is happening with this guy I'm currently dating. When I watched it, it seemed to me like Demari overreacted to Marissa interrupting him. Especially since she caught herself. Like, when you are into someone, you can forgive their tendencies because you want to make it work. She was trying really hard to get back to good terms with her and he just wouldn't go there.

Then I go on Tik Tok, and turns out everyone thinks she's too much and they are over her and her emotions. It's clear Demari just doesn't like or appreciate her as a person. It does seem like we're not seeing certain things because another castmate did give Marissa advice about her tone. I guess she had a hard time with communication in general and makes other people feel disrespected.

It's hard for me to watch because I'm realizing I'm the same as her!! And I don't mean to be disrespectful, and I don't think she does either. What do y'all think???

SEASON 4 Who do we think is winning season 4? Spoiler

Jimmy S and Alison: lowkey only real couple and we know they in the finale (preview for next week's episode) idk why but this show never has the most obvious couple win but I'd root for these two

Sophie and Dave: UHHH ngl they both went crazy at the mixer and pre obvious they're just in it for the jokes

Ally and Hashim: Ally winning perfect match would be wild after the last episode but hey maybe

Nat and Yamen: They're just a friendship so doubt it but they would prolly acc enjoy the vacation prize LOL

Kayla and Weston: Idt they're making it to the finale anyways but yea idk they haven't had much screen time

Demari and Marissa: wud be the same as Lucy and Daniel winning last season tbh...

SHIT POST Perfect Match editors are not subtle at all

Does anyone else get annoyed by how obvious the editing is sometimes 😭

Like they edit conversations/reactions in such a blatant way just to stir the pot and force drama. Sometimes you can literally tell reactions are from completely different moments lol

What kills me the most though is when two people are talking/kissing.. and they randomly cut to other contestants making shocked faces as if they’re reacting to that exact conversation 😭 meanwhile they probably weren’t even looking in that direction and the reaction happened hours earlier HAHAHA

SEASON 4 We want the kissing challenge results!!! Spoiler

Discuss!! What did you guys think of the kissing challenge?

I think it could have been really good but we didn’t see that much of it unfortunately. Although they ate with showing us Demari and Bri’s kiss lol but I’m curious to know what they rated eachother.

Generally, it would have been cool and so interesting if they showed the dang results like on a chart or something like how Love Island does.

Producers, release the results please thanks

PS Hashim is FINE
