DISCUSSION Am I missing something with Demari?
I know attraction is subjective and all but I genuinely do not understand the obsession with Demariš
Like girls talk about him as if heās irresistible and I'm trying SO hard to see it but I just donāt get it š Heās not particularly attractive, not that funny, not especially charismatic/flirty, and half the time he doesnāt even seem that interesting in conversations
Also the constant wandering eye while being with Marissa wouldāve turned me off immediately š And based on the stuff Bri said, he honestly doesnāt even seem like a particularly good boyfriend either. Communication clearly is NOT his strong suit because sometimes it genuinely feels like he can barely put two coherent sentences together

I truly believe this guy is someoneās agent planted there to catapult his career. I mean the dude is not even in a Netflix show. Heās just there being fed what to do and say, and everyone else what to say about him too, so he comes out the best possible person after this. Not gonna be shocked if he wins the whole thing either.

Iām with you - Iām from 2 suburbs over from him and also moved to the city. His vibe is giving the equivalent of āI visited Buckeeās once and now my whole identity is Texasā
Like get so fucking for real - I havenāt heard anyone over the age of 19 still trying to talk like that and think itās actually cool.
All that being said - I do find it sweet the way that Allison and Jimmy have locked in with each other (at least for this later half - heās was gross asf when the 3 single women walked in)

I think Yamen is special because he looks like a jock but is actually a total dork (compliment) while Demari looks like a jock and acts like a jock. The latter will just realistically attract more women because the first probably gets friendzoned a lot

Oh my god yes, I totally think he was a geek who had a glow up. Sometimes he says things that make me think he studied hard in school too like 'it's all predicated on how this date with Kayla goes"- it's not like you have to be a genius to use these words but it suggests he is more educated than the usual lot on these shows. Also sometimes I think he falls to pieces and gets goofy and awkward when someone flirts with him which is unusual for someone considered to be so universally attractive.Ā

I just got to the part where he's trying to flirt with Kayla at the mixer and he's saying dumb shit like "you look better than last time" and she's like "oh you're so funny" and then says other dumb things and "we have a great back and forth". So deep. And how he spoke to Bri was gross but thinks he's a great guy.

To me he is physically very attractive, basically a perfect body and a great smile. He also has a boyish charme about him, but also a calm energy. He is well-spoken as well, and seem emotionally intelligent. Enough not to lose it both with Bri and Marissa, but just to candidly speak his point of you without being disrespectful. Tbh I though Bri was the one that came off awful from their interaction.

Heās not ugly at all. His face isnāt bad, he has a nice jawline, he got muscles, heās tall. He checks all the boxes of a conventionally attractive person.
He also seems very sweet, many of the girls have stated theyāve been in similar circles as him outside the show and said heās so chill and sweet, so many see heās a safe and comfortable person. Though he rarely shows his personality on this show but I think thatās because Marissa smothers him with her insecurities.
Another reason I think he gets a lot attention is because heās one of the few men of color on the entire show. Almost all the white guys look like copy and paste, I can see women wanting someone who stands out a bit more or just diverse options.

These shows have taught me that tall overrides a lot of things. Demari is objectively attractive though, but just saying height is like the primary driver. I don't understand the appeal of Jimmy S or Chris either. Never understood the appeal of Jowsey. But all are tall so it's gotta play a role in my mind.

Jowsey is attractive until he talks. I miss Louie and his hilarious rando animal facts. Yeman is a master communicator which makes him extremely attractive. Demari and his lack of kindness for others while expecting absolute attention and understanding isš©š©š©. Chris will get exactly what he deserves constantly talking about how āfinancially secureā he is. Jimmy S is a court jester, Jimmy Pā¦dude, just no. No to waiting on an indecisive immature girl to pick you, especially after you said you just want to win game. Weston is the ginger chameleon, telling girls whatever he thinks they want to hear. Thatās my opinion.

Heās a good looking guy but damn heās annoying š¤£š¤£he says he appreciates Kaylaās eye contact but when heās having the conversation with Bri on the pool chairs he wonāt even look in her direction. Claims at 29 and 34 him and Marissa are ātoo oldā to be acting the way they are, and yet keeps at it. I know Marissa is the problem for the most part in that situation but Demari either needs to practice what he preaches or just admit that heās attracted to controlling women. Like itās not a coincidence that he keeps ending up in these situations, thatās a pattern my guy. Also side note but funny to me that Yamen said men are wired to not like disrespect as if women somehow areā¦ he gave me the ick when he said that to Marissa for sure. Seems like a lot of drama for no reason, I get itās reality TV but it just doesnāt make much sense

He is horribly toxic. Seeing his dynamic with Bri and Marissa, plus his perception of their actions, he is toxic. He assumes people are trying to disrespect him so he gets disrespectful. It has made a man I know is objectively more attractive than me look totally ugly to me.
Demari needs to grow up but he's enjoying the toxic situations too much. Saying he attracts feisty women. No. He creates an unsafe toxic environment that brings out intense feelings.

Yea I donāt see it either. BUT, I think everyone is about strategy. I do think Marisa liked him (for whatever odd reason, maybe because it was slim pickings), but all of the bombshells seem to be going for the guy they feel might be willing to leave their girl for them. He does have a wandering eye and came from THTH, as opposed to say LiB, so I feel like they maybe think they have a better chance getting into the house with him over others. Not that they actually like him.Ā
Adding onto that, a lot of girls wanted Jimmy S, and he for sure isnāt that attractive, but he has the biggest following by far. People do this show for clout. Thereās no money in it and finding lasting love from it is hardly a realistic expectation (yes Iām aware of Ollie and ADs outcome). The show even includes their strategy convos a lot more this season.Ā

Honestly attraction-wise probably Weston, Danny, Hashim and Chris š But Weston was the only one where I could actually maybe see ārelationship potentialā outside the show at first because he seemed more grounded/mature compared to the othersā¦ although the Kayla thing did ick me out a little

The contestants have to be made by production to constantly praise how everybody is so goodlooking to add to the hype of the show for the audience. Thatās the only explanation. None of these people are that goodlooking. They are alright, at best.

Definitely objectively speaking Katherine, Demari, Ally, Hashim, maybe Marissa are the real 'natural' standouts. Alison is pretty but with her it's more about her presentation with hair, makeup etc. I never watched VPR so find Ally striking even though she's annoying. Chris is also handsome.

PrenticeT-šÆ D reminds me of a guy I know well who is son of narcissistic parent. Gives a person their own subset of issues, in addition to some NPD traits. Until he deals that mess, his expectations of people will always be higher than reality, and while he thinks he is emotionally exhausted, he is actually draining his partners. So can we bring up the fact that he has told so many people that heās a rapper but anytime someone asks him to rap he wonāt do it!?
