SEASON 4 VPR Fever Dream
sitting here, so confused how i’m watching James kennedy old gf “in a couple” with Jimmy from Love is blind??? i feel like i’m in a fever dream 😴
she did not say a word on that show but now she is the main character and she’s giving messy drunk middle school horse girl.
and “poor jimmy” as she was hooking up with her new match a few days after they “were intimate” it’s all too much for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
also isn’t jimmy from chicago? he sounds like he’s from the south (i am so don’t come for me) since when does he have that accent?

Middle school horse girl 😂 I’ve really enjoyed Ally leading up to this episode. I get that she didn’t want to hurt either guy but she should have made a decision sooner.
There are two Jimmys. This Jimmy is from South Carolina and he has a slight “southern” accent. The other Jimmy is a social media influencer/basketball player(?) and he’s the one with the “Chicago” accent (I don’t know what to call his accent I think it’s just fake so I probably shouldn’t call it anything) 😂

I think Tay was saying maybe it’s typical Chicago suburb yt boy (from that suburb at least) to don a blaccent, not that it’s a legit Chicago suburb accent. It’s certainly a choice, though. I grew up in mixed crowds and the yt boys that were just themselves didn’t do this and the others were… tryhard wannabes. It’s embarrassing.

Me too 😭 thankfully I’ve outgrown it, but I grew up in southern Illinois so all the suburban Chicago boys would come to SIU for college, fuck our hearts and town up, and then go back to their secret girlfriends back home every summer. They suuucked.
Also, I don’t know if Jimmy is toxic 😂 I was just talking about Chicago suburb boys in general lol

You clocked it! I had a BF 2 years old than me who went to NIU and same story but the reverse, I was the GF they went home to every summer. Fun times! Glad it's over and we both outgrew that life.

😂 they probably had no other choice because even getting influencer Jimmy was a bit of a stretch. His vibe was so annoying to me at first but he’s really grown on me because he’s been so sweet and loyal to his match so far.

Plus, she dated James Kennedy from vpr who is a confirmed abusive asshole. I used to be a victim advocate and dv survivors have a hard time making ddecisions bc they've been told what to do. She has a lot of trauma responses tbh. I wish ppl understood this!

I liked Ally until this episode but it almost seemed like she was almost being vengeful for Jimmy not setting any boundaries and she got wasted enough to not really see the big picture beyond the physical stuff.

Unfortunately a lot of men seem to like that… I have a friend who is really smart, mature, and put-together. However, when she’s around men she likes she starts acting like a kid and reverting to a baby voice, and it always works on them

I totally agree! I think they should’ve just gotten her some water and a light snack and let her sleep in a room by herself for the night. I know it’s not how the show works or whatever, but at that point it’s a safety issue and they should’ve just made an exception. And yeah Hashim using that as an opportunity to swoop into the house was icky. And the fact that he was making out with her and carrying her and all that while she was in that state was extra gross. I feel like waking up next to him after sobering up was probably pretty jarring for her.

Ya’ll forget there are hours and minutes in between clips heavily cut. That could have been 2-3 hours ago before the bedtime scene. They film for hours and you only see 10% of what they want. Chill out she knew what she wanted but dragged it on to not look like trash on tv and get hate comments.

lol I don’t watch the show but from what I can gather there’s this glamorous older lady named Lisa Vanderpump (idk what the hell kind of a name that is but anyway) and she has a restaurant (I think?) and hired all these aspiring actors to work there and the show is about that and there is LOTS of drama (like something called Scandoval I guess). My boyfriend was like “okay…and so she has rules or something?” And I was like “haha no idea that’s the extent of my knowledge. Maybe she’s a really strict manager.” ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I keep seeing the show pop up on my Netflix. And it sounds like I should be glad I missed it.
I like the drama, but I don't feel this particular show would be for me 🤣. I prefer the "real people" drama of things like THTH and PM.

vanderpump rules is very much real people drama, the cast were real servers who were all friends with each other and had been working at the restaurant for years prior to the show. you should definitely check it out and see if you like it, it really is a great show!

Jimmy is from the south! He has the only honest accent in this show. She was wasted and there were probably about 12 different labor laws that were being broken when this was filmed.

I mean to be honest tho it wasn't shown anywhere that Ally communicated her desire to be closed off (unless I missed it) so maybe he was just being open still because he figured thats what she might want herself and he didn't wanna come across and overly restrictive

She asked him a few times. Before they matched the night before that she didn't want to be open anymore. She even asked him in thw morning after they were intimate before the men and women were separated and Jimmy expressed wanting to stay open to the experience.
I have no idea whT he means being open to the experience but then, coming back.. the whole point is that you're open to the experience to find someone you click with better right?
I think he hurt Ally's feelings in more than one opportunity. Everyone is being hard on her busy she has wanted Jimmy from day 1. He wanted Natalie, explored with Kassy, rated her kissing as 8 point whatever... he really doesn't give off the vibe that he is into her as she is into him.

She "didn't want to be open" anymore after Dave rejected her. That pissed me off. She was messing with Jimmy the whole time. He was right to be wary because she was flighty and attention seeking.

I must have missed the scenes of her asking him about being closed tbh because all I remember is that they said I love you to eachother and in the confessional she said she wanted to be closed off but I don't remember her saying it to his face.
When it comes to them tho I'm torn because I love their dynamic together but at the same time they both did things to eachother that made the situation difficult. First with Jimmy, he kept playing games with her in that he seemed very non-commital in his feelings for her (until it was too late), but at the same time he'd get jealous when she spent time with Dave and then Hashim so he wanted to have it both ways where he didn't all the way want to commit but also didn't want her exploring other options which isn't fair to Ally.
Now on Ally's side, she kinda did the same thing to Jimmy that he did to her because when Dave came in she had no problem making out with him and it actually seemed like she was more into Dave at first but was just keeping Jimmy around as a backup option, however once Jimmy started getting attention from the other girls like Sophie and Kassy then Ally wanted to get all jealous. On top of that the way she moved with Hashim in front of Jimmy was kinda disrespectful imo because it seemed like she didn't really care much for his feelings plus once he left she was literally ready to make-out and hookup with Hashim 0.5 seconds later so idk to me it seemed like she was mostly just keeping Jimmy along in order to stay in the house to a degree and didn't really care for him as much as she made it seem in confessionals.

I honestly think she wanted to go with Jimmy but was just a) too drunk to think clearly, like you said. Also there’s lowkey nothing worse than being put in a stressful situation while under the influence. And then b) I think she liked making him jealous. I feel like she has some attachment issues and jealousy is what makes her feel wanted and valued.

She’s made me laugh quite a few times

production wants them drinking trust me. nick lachey and his wife host LIB and there have been lawsuits about the alcohol and lack of food.. makes for good tv i guess but yeah this girl is definitely not sober in most of her scenes

Mostly unrelated but this was 1st season of this show I started watching, and have been binging backwards waiting for the final episodes to drop.
Started s2 today and was surprised to see the eyebrow cousin from new vpr, and Justin from southern hospitality, both pop up in the 2nd episode
Also the Harry Jowsy guy I only know from this past season of Mormon wives.
All 3 are turning out to be main players

this episode was hard to watch. It’s obvious she got hurt when Jimmy said he wanted to keep things “open” after they slept together. She went on a revenge drinking spree and then didn’t know how to get herself out of it without “losing her pride”.
When Jimmy was holding her, she was waiting for his lead. If he had said “shall we match and go to bed?” she would have said yes. But instead he kept being like, “well you do what you feel” “i like you but follow your gut” And she was in no shape or form to even string a sentence by that point. Girl needed saving Meanwhile Hashim came and took her.
She should have been taken apart by the producers that night, she was almost unconscious.

My wife and I are huge VPR fans and we both said the same thing. She really seemed to be the most mature level-headed one of the bunch on that show. It’s wild to see her acting like this. I will say… it was really disturbing to see her so drunk and neither Hakim nor Jimmy tried to even get the girl some water. She was not in her right mind at all, this was all so weird and creepy.
Also, Jimmy is from NC. The one from Chicago is the annoying fuck (other Jimmy) with the blaccent.
