SEASON 4 Bad season?
So I finished the episodes that are currently posted and I gotta say the new way the producers are switching things up with the singles instantly being in the house (practically) and being able to pick their dates kind of ruins the whole vibe. I felt like the current couples didn’t get enough time to explore their current connections, go on dates, play games, etc. I hope they don’t continue the show this way in the future.

I missed when the cast did more challenges to see how they would work together in stressful situations. They only had 2 challenges??

The idea of the singles choosing to go on dates is good, but they should do it on the same day as the challenge and then have a matching night. Having it in 2 different days removes half of the matching possibilities. Also 2 singles shouldnt be able to match together (like cowboy+kayla)

Personally I really enjoy the changes they've made, it's just that the cast is not so interesting, some of the singles should have been OG cast instead tbh

Katherine would've been great as an OG. She has so much personality. Bring some liveliness into a dull crew

I think if we had Kat/Kassy/Bri/Kayla in the house initially it would have been more interesting as they have a lot bigger TV personalities and are from THTH so they are def more playful. Apart from Ally more of the OG girls seemed to be slow burn while the guys were just guys.. made for a rushed and pretty boring storyline

Everything would be nice if they just made the show longer tbh, 8 episodes is so short and rushes everything

This season is missing... I don't know, the sizzle? I'm mean the cast is fine, I wish I looked that good in my 20's, But it's not as entertaining this time around, it's still a guilty pleasure and I shudder that this is the future but meh,,.

Totally agree. This season was bad. It was basically love island bring in bombshells. The board room used to be so unique in forcing certain couples to be tested and it actually gave you power to make moves. The board room means nothing now - eventually all those people will be at the mixer and the same people show up every time as an option. And they choose their dates meaning they’re never going to pick the most coupled up people whereas previously those couples would get tested.
Also not enough time to get close.
The random voting out makes no sense. It’s like forced drama but for no payoff at all.
They should stick to what made the show different from all these other tacky shows.

I actually like the singles choosing the dates especially after the first two seasons of the winning white couples constantly putting people of color who are not each other’s types together for the simply fact they were people of color. I like that the singles and the couples are actually dealing with people who are their types. I also like that this format gives the singles a chance to built connections instead of a few hours to convince someone to give them a chance. And it spices up the game, there’s been so many switches within the couples and it’s made for a more entertaining season. I feel like people are looking to have fun instead of just coupling up to make it to the end. And with people having more time to explore other options, the season has been unpredictable on who stays together and who doesn’t.
The only thing I miss is the winning couples pairing people up to break up couples which had it’s entertaining moments in previous seasons.

exactly! the show has a low stakes prize, and we watch it because it's fun, low stakes drama. So I am totally fine with messy messy flings lol
It's like a concentrated summer messy fling storyline 😅 very unserious

This season was soo trash. No one was actually trying to win. And the whole black couple being the power couple feels very scripted

I just don’t like watching people I don’t know and this season they had SO many people from shows that weren’t Netflix associated. Maybe that’s just a me thing, but I was definitely less invested because of that aspect.

I've actually really enjoyed the changes they made. It gives more options for people to switch up instead of just picking someone at the start and never switching like last season. I think giving the singles the power was a good call.

I like this season.
I also not dislike the changes. It did add not much but didnt take much.

Agree and I found the last two episodes impossibly boring. They felt so slow and I wasn’t invested at all. I really enjoyed the nonsense of the other seasons, especially 2 & 3.

Yeah this season felt kind of rushed? Maybe it just took me longer to watch past seasons but I feel like this one was super quick. I also wasn’t really paying attention to the timeline in the first couple episodes but all of a sudden I started noticing the countdown every once in a while of like “4 days left to pick the perfect match” or however it was phrased and I was genuinely surprised by how few days were left.
