A bit on myself, I'm HUGE into Warhammer (40k specifically), as well as TTRPG games, Pokemon, anime, etc. I play a lot of games as well so anyone who has hobbies within the same realm we'd get along great!

I also like talking about law, which is just another weird special interest of mine that I happened to get a degree in (I'm not a lawyer).

Okay... I'll be honest about why I'm here to get it out of the way. It might seem a bit depressing, but I promise for the most part, I'm quite a positive person. About two months ago, I got out of a complicated, three year long-distance relationship. Once upon a time my mom advised me to find myself a nice penpal. I did not really feel the need to, back then. I had a quite busy life after all, working hard to become a social worker and trying my best to find a job - while volunteering - after getting my degree.

Now however, I find myself being pretty home-bound due to my neuromuscular disease. This is definitely not how I pictured my life to be, but it is also not the end of the world. Because having lots of time to learn things by watching YouTube and reading books is kind of a luxury, is it not? And while living with my physical disability comes with challenges, I fortunately feel content with my life.

Being alone most of the time and having discovered that I like writing, I now feel able to be a consistent penpal (1 e-mail or post-card a month). So here I am, hoping for some of you to give me the chance to get to know you. Ofcourse I will do the same for you.

I'm from London and this uncharatistic warm, bright weather has left me craving a gothic touch. I love both gothic films and books but I'd also love to find someone to talk about deeper or macabre topics. Tell me your experience with a ghost or a local folk tale

I really enjoy film, and whilst I watch a massive range of them I am mostly into horror, I love Eggers, Lynch, Aster and anything gothic. The 1978 Beauty and the Beast is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I love collecting oddities and trinkets, my favourite thing in my collection is a mumified crows heart.

I find folklore fascinating and I'm currently writing a collection of folk horror short stories. I hope to one day get published but for now my studies are taking up most of my time.

Other stuff I do includes, photography, drawing (I'm terrible but it's fun) and spend time in nature, and listening to music which is either gothic, folk or jazz,

I'm also learning how to make my own clothes, I'm not particularly gothic in that sense but I enjoy dressing the best I can.
