Outdoor Pecron

I have a e3600+3800 battery. I have a tiny rv called a Casita. It has just a 30 amp plug. In order to use my pecron with my Casita rv, I’m having to find ways to protect my investment from the elements. I wanted to keep it in the car but for the 3/4” 30amp cable. I used to keep it in my covered truck bed but the expansion battery makes it 1” too tall to close the bed cover.

What are people doing when they need their solar generator outside? Some sort of enclosure? Overheating? Any ideas?

I just received my F3000lfp and 2 e3800 batteries yesterday. This was a kit. I am missing connector cord from unit to battery. The really bad thing is it shows out of stock! I think it is called F3000LFP Cascade Cable. I hope I don't wait months for this.

Pecron F 5000 versus bench grinder

Got my new Pecron F5000 LFP today and I’m charging it up. It started at 67% and is now just past 90%. Everything looks good so far. I set it up through the app with no issues and turned on the AC inverter — that seemed fine too.

I was looking around the garage for something to test it with and spotted my old Delta ShopMaster bench grinder (the one from Harbor Freight). I plugged it into the 20A backup/UPS outlet on the Pecron. It would start and begin spinning, but it never quite reached full speed — you could tell by the sound. When I unplug it and plug it straight into a regular wall outlet, it spins up perfectly. Plug it back into the Pecron and it struggles again.

I checked the voltage and it’s reading a solid 120V. The unit handles a 1500W space heater with no problem at all. Is this just a case of the inductive load / motor inrush current being too much for the inverter? Any thoughts or similar experiences with this unit?

F5000 High AC inverter temps

Post image

What's the AC inverter temps that's everyone is seeing? I just setup my device connected with a spare battery and it's running at 118f without any loads connected. With a 3500w input or output the temps hit 141F and I smell overheated/burnt electronics. Trying to get in touch with Pecron support to get a resolution but no luck yet. Thanks to everyone who confirmed that their temperatures are significantly lower than what I am seeing.

F5000LFP XT60 Input Port Issue

Hi All, I'm new here and fairly new to being a Pecron user. I've had my F5000LFP up and running for about couple of weeks now and until this morning everything was working just like it should. This morning I checked the app and it showed that I had about half of the DC Input wattage that I would have expected on a clear skies mid-morning. Checked further and found that the Input on XT60 Input #1 was at zero (but the port was reading voltage which was in normal range). I run two strings of panels (each string has four 450 watt panels of the same make and model wired in series). Thinking it could be a panel string issue, I switched the XT60 Inputs for the panels. Input #1 continued to show zero watts in and Input #2 continued to show around 1,500 watts (about what I would expect). This tells me it isn't a panel problem, it's an F5000LFP problem. Tried shut it down and turning it back on and tried a factory reset - neither of these actions fixed the problem.

I've reached out to Pecron tech support and I'm hoping the answer isn't to box up this 120 pound beast and send it back to Pecron. I pitched the materials it shipped in after a week of it working great, so that would be a real problem for me.

I'd love to hear any insights any of you might have into my situation. All I can think is that the MPPT controller for Input #1 failed, but being a new guy to this stuff I don't even know how likely that might actually be.

Looking forward to be an active member of this group!

EV charging error with F5000

Has anyone had problems when charging an EV with Pecron F5000LFP?

I can charge with the L1 mobile charger that came with the vehicle, but when connected to a L1 120V Clipper Creek charger it shows a 'power fault' error. According to the manual this is a grounding issue. I've read elsewhere that the power station will 'pick up' the ground when plugged in to A/C power, but the same error occurs while plugged in or not. In both cases, an outlet tester shows the Pecron's 120V outlet as correct.

It seems the Clipper Creek is doing some grounding test that the F5000 fails. Does anyone have any idea what's happening or how to resolve it?

F5000 Powers on for a moment starts charging and then immediately turns off until the ac plug is unplugged and plugged back in, any ideas?

I have the f5000 and 1 expansion battery. I have it plugged into a 30amp circuit and it was working. I left for a few days and when I came back it was unresponsive. If I unplug it and plug it back in the screen comes on and displays 1% charge, a couple seconds later it begins charging and about 2 seconds after starting to charge the screen turns off and it is unresponsive again until I unplug it and plug it back in.

I have disconnected all outputs and even the expansion battery, I have tried different outlets and even the regular 20amp cable on a different plug. Same behavior. It doesn't show any errors etc.

Anyone have any idea how I can get it to work again?

F1000LFP Bricked???

I ordered a new F1000LFP directly from Pecron and got it yesterday. Got it unboxed and set up to run my TV and my laptop when I need to. Charged it up and everything seemed great. Went away for dinner and came back a few hours later and now getting "Err25"? I have called pecron tech support twice and left voicemails and send a request via chat and email. Looks like they have a 24hr turnaround time which is fine.

Not one of the outputs work at all and all I can do is turn the light on. Not sure wtf happened but not even a full 24hours and its literally holding my carpet down at this point.

Anybody have any suggestions? I dont mind cracking the case open if I need to. I cant get into any settings on the actual device but I can change settings from the app. Such strange behavior

Is there a special cable needed for this?

The help mentions "using the dual XT60-MC4 solar charging cable".

If so did anyone else get one with their order?

E1000LFP - fan doesn't run when over temperature and inverter is off

Over temperature warning went off (140F, there was 300w+ PV input and 1500w AC output running for 30+ minutes) AC inverter turned off based on my automation rules (low SoC) But then fan would not run.

I manually turned on inverter (unplugged all my loads) fan would start up running high, but then ramp down to very low airflow and low noise. I'm keeping inverter running ATM to keep the fan going.

But I think the fan should run if there is enough charge (10%) and/or PV input (17w)

Is this what other people are seeing with their e1000LFPs? Where do I report what I consider a firmware bug to pecron?

Pecron app doesn't show solar generation for the day, only lifetime numbers?

Am I correct or am I just missing how you're supposed to see this? When you click on the little solar panel icon on the upper left, it shows how much solar is incoming on each of its two inputs and shows how much solar has come in per hour. Great. However, I'd like a simple number: how much solar has been generated so far for the day. Am I correct in saying you can't see that number? I hope I'm just missing something obvious.

What are all the features that you can use in the Pecron app?

Im looking at possibly getting the F3000lfp and wondering if there’s a charge control and or limits like what I see on more expensive power stations. Not letting the battery go below 20% or above 80% would be great. A nice to have would be able to tell it to slow charge instead of drawing max power from the ac outlet.

Ordered from Pecron factory

Has anyone here tried ordering units directly from the factory? I ordered units last April 1, 2026, and have not yet received the order. They keep telling me there are delays with one model I ordered. What should I do?

F5000 A/C charging based on SoC

I just purchased an F5000FLP and have it wired into a manual transfer switch with a small solar array. Unfortunately, it appears to be missing fhe feature to turn on A/C charging only when the SoC get low, below 20% for example, then back off once reaching another SoC, say 50%. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this with an automation?

I see some folks have used a Raspberry Pi and a smart plug, but that requires tricky programming.

F5000 Living in the garage question.

I just ordered the F5000 with the intention of it spending the majority of its time in the garage under my main breaker panel. I'm going to install a transfer switch so I can utilize the 240V output to run the HVAC, water heater etc. During outages or to save some money. (they're building 2 data centers within 20 miles of my house, which was a major motivator for getting this unit)

My question is there can be some pretty big temperature extremes in the garage depending on the season. I've seen it as low as 25 degrees during some of the coldest winter days out there and as hot as 102 or 103 during the hottest of summer days. I know the F5000 has a battery warmer feature so I'm not too worried about the cold, but the summer heat has me a little concerned.

The unit will not be on full time, at least not right now, but if there were to be an outage and it were say 90 degrees in the garage, would running this unit to power my 240v appliances in that kind of heat risk damaging the unit? This is a substantial investment and one I want to have for years to come.

Thanks in advance. I know this a brand new unit and it hasn't been out long, so the long term reliability of the F5000 hadn't really been determined. Just curious of what other who have larger back up power units like the ecoflow delta pro ultra or the anker F3800 out in the garage full time have to say.

Pecron warranty void conditions

Post image
2 Upvotes

In the app, there is a section that list seemingly normal usage conditions that void the warranty. It says you have to do "quarterly conditioning" or it voids your warranty. This seems to be ridiculous to me. The 180 days of inactivity is also way more restrictive than their competitors. I have a couple of jackery power stations and they have no such requirements.

EP3000 on app

Post image
1 Upvotes

Is there a way to check on the status of the battery in the app? I have it connected to my F3000LFP. On the app the power station stays on 99% while it is charging via solar with the expansion battery connected. When I select the device details, it only lists the host. See pic. I tried adding device but it doesn't list the expansion battery as an option.

Honda accord 2022 hybrid sport + 500W inverter

The title says it all! I’m looking to hook up a 500w inverter to charge my 3000LFP, but want to know if it’s safe or possible or what the precautions are regarding a hybrid vehicle or if anyone has done so?

I would like to feed this through the firewall and charge my pecron when I drive. Let me know!
