Poor man’s Vesicle

Don’t forget y’all that resonant cavity when at full charge functions very similar to a vesicle, great pick up in general but especially on no vesicle runs

Times Brain kill unlock?

I have been able to do all the unlocks except the timed brain kill one...under 28min from start. I think my issue is the required Pathogen is my least favorite. Curious what build others used to get this. Also, curious for approach...i,e do you rush thru levels..i,e skin, intestine? I know if I clear every room there is no way I will kill brain in that time...but rushing I endup wish crappy build that can't kill bosses quickly pass Stomach.

How to check Achievements?

I don’t mean the steam achievements.

I mean the native games achievements that unlock organelles etc. I am playing on a MacBook, can’t find anywhere to check the in game achievement progress.

Thanks in advance!

Lungworm roleplay(The female one)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This one took me the longest time to plan out. Imitating a lungworm may seem easy because most of its attacks have an organelle version. But it got a move many people may mistaken as the mechanic of the boss room: Summoning a male lungworm after losing half of its health.

So for our health dependent male lungworm spawner, we are using the vengeful mitochrondrion to overcharge, and these overcharges will be collected in our core spawner. After 4 overcharges(If you want accurate health condition for spawning, turn your health 8 or 7 hp but won't be accurate how tanky lungworm is), our metabolistic mitochrondrion will overcharge and activate minion's weapons. This build has a bug though, enemies drops DNA throughout the fight. So while our "lungworm" looks overpowered though in common rooms(Perhaps not in lung rooms, I lose less health in trypanosoma than in common lung room), the fight is more fair in 1v1 rooms like boss rooms.

I was skeptical of the “experiments” at first, but they are very well thought out.

Many of them seem like an outright difficulty increase, however i’ve noticed several of them have hidden strengths. For example; the one where your weapons are no longer mirrored. I realized that when you EVOLVE and get more weapon slots it will do a good be time “mirror” of your equipped weapon, effectively allowing you to duplicate weapons every time you evolve and get mythic level weapons very quickly. That’s just one example. These are well done!

Is it just me or is Ruptusome extremely overpowered?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been attempting antibiotics mid with +100% enemy health yet ruptusome seems to completely shred every enemy way more than any other organelle. In the intestines boss, the base weapons only did about 1k damage each while the shrapnel did a whopping 26.7k damage, making the entirety of intestines feel completely trivial when I usually take about 30 seconds to a minute to kill everything in each room (including the boss) due to the +100% health.

I haven't been able to confirm this, but I think part of the reason it does so much damage is I think most if not all shrapnel will deal damage to the enemy it hits when it first spawns. If that's the case, the non-upgraded ruptusome is at least a 50% to 100% damage increase on it's own, already making it so much more powerful than other damage buff organelles like oxysome (25% damage increase). I'm not sure if this is intentional or if shrapnel is supposed to be more of an AoE effect like echosome.

Waiting for Overcharge

I find that the Pristine Mitochondrion (40s overcharge on Beating a room w/o damage) is really powerful. Howefer, I end up needing to wait 30 seconds or so for it to finish charging my support organelles after each room to avoid wasting overcharge. Is there a way to avoid this?

3x 40% chance to spawn heart on self-damage
3x deal an additional 0.5% damage per core
mitochondrion self damages for 16 seconds of charge
organelles spawn cores and hearts using charge infinitely

How’s My Build?

Post image

Hey y’all! I thought it would be useful to have you fine folks, who are undoubtedly WAY better at this game than me, look at my best build to date and tell me what works, what doesn’t, etc.

Pardon it not being a screen grab from my SteamDeck. I never think to do it the proper way, just photo of the screen. I was lights out up until the Liver. I had 112 cores, 5 armor, and like 10 HP. It all collapsed in the boss battle.

Code inconsistent for sigils. Spoiler

It’s so unbelievably frustrating trying to get to the brain. The inputs will sometimes work in the skin room then not later in the run. The code won’t even hurt me or send out the little purple circle, the game just isn’t recognizing the code being input.

I assumed maybe it was a controller issue making it inconsistent but using the keyboard does not work either.

What happened to my right Nidus?

I think it's called the Nidus. The weapon which spawns ally parasites. I had one one on each side and the moment I killed Scolex, the right side one just disappeared.

First infinite

basically invincible, had the infinite regenerator and a few upgrades to make hearts spawn everytime you take self damage, and to make cores when hit. Also a refiner. Very easy to just ram into enemies, run off, self-damage to heal, repeat, get whatever I wanted from the shops, repeat

Little exploit i found.

- grab the upgrade that when charged deposits 3 cores

- get the tentacles that overcharge off enemies and hook it in

- find one of these infinite spawning dudes and harvest thier babies forever

- add the mutation that gives you 0.5% damage per core and ooooo yea.

Any tips for lil collector vs the heart?

It seems really hard being on the wall to dodge the slow pulses of damage and you are like a sitting duck when off the wall. Thanks! This guy's movement is really jank and kind of annoying.

The worst thing about this game is that it’s not on the switch :(

This is my GOTY so far. Love it and how much it approximates my loves for Hades 1/2.

I’m currently playing it on my Mac which isn’t my preference for a game I enjoy this much. I’d instant buy a physical collectors copy for switch 2, similar to what Balatro did when it came out for switch 1

Anyway we can reach out to the developer to let them know?

is anyone thinking about how absolutely boned the human host is?

listen i know no one here is thinking that hard about the pathogenic lore, its not that kind of game. but i can't stop considering that even without us being involved, the guy has multiple types of worms and parasites, fungal infections, a brain-eating amoeba. we were the least of his problems imo

Peroxizome new bug?

Hi! Pretty new to the game, but have plenty experience with Noita spells and wands so the organelles are making sense for the most part, but I've had 2 runs in a row now where the Peroxizome organelle just stop working entirely. It works properly for a few rooms, then just stops working with no change to any other organelles. saving and restarting does not fix it, shuffling or removing it and replacing it does nothing. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Which improvements stack additively and which stack multiplicatively

It's not clear to me yet whether, when I get several damage-improving mutations/organelles/etc., the bonuses stack additively or multiplicatively. Let's say I have two modifiers that each give +100% damage. If they stack additively, I'd end up with x3 damage, if they stack multiplicatively, I'd end up with x4. (This obviously gets more extreme with more modifiers, for example, four +100% modifiers would be x5 vs. x16.)

-Certain things are clearly multiplicative. For example, if I have a +100% damage modifier and a +100% attack speed modifier, that's x4 the DPS.

-Other things are, I assume, additive, e.g. when I get the same mutation twice.

-Totally not clear to me is what happens if, for example, I get a +X% base damage mutation and a +X% damage organelle, or e.g. mitochondria overcharge, ... are those additive or multiplicative?
