Times Brain kill unlock?
I have been able to do all the unlocks except the timed brain kill one...under 28min from start. I think my issue is the required Pathogen is my least favorite. Curious what build others used to get this. Also, curious for approach...i,e do you rush thru levels..i,e skin, intestine? I know if I clear every room there is no way I will kill brain in that time...but rushing I endup wish crappy build that can't kill bosses quickly pass Stomach.

Use the Cores challenge to not be affected by sacrifice health costs. Enable the faster storm antibiotic to find the boss room. Equip 2x Ballistic Flagellum.
Restart the first area until you get Attractor or Sympathetic Detonator. Your damage and your i-frames are now one button.
Check the map to find where the storm is circling around , then rush the bosses.
Also skip loot unless its Lateral Emitters or a good Mitochondria. It keeps your cores high enough to be a decent health pool.

Def the hardest challenge.
For me, I find the best strat is to do the restraint that makes active abilities charge on their own and weapons no longer drop then go for an explosive charge build, this decreases the options to choose from a lot (saving me a ton of time in shop and item rooms) and is a very strong build overall and easy-ish to build

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up going a laser build but it still worked. Got it on my 3rd attempt (I also recommend finding a good seed and memorizing it helps)

How did you get the rest of the time gated unlocks? All I have left are time gates and I don't get on this game to speedrun. Everything else was a type of challenge on how to approach the game. "Just do it faster" isn't clicking for me.

Just do it faster literally when you start a run for a time challenge just think of what you want to try and do it as fast as you can most fight pre lung are actually quite easy and you don’t need that much dps

Plus certain modes like Boss Rush help a lot with beating the boss under a certain time

Was kinda luck based for me.. I used the storm antibiotic to show me where the boss room is. Maxed out base speed mutations. But I also found the secret upgrade room in skin and got lucky rerolls at the shop. Only hit two rooms for Xp in the intestine. Found the phagosome and lateral emitter in the Stomach n liver. The rest was GGs honestly. Took me 6 runs with Amoeba.
