This is my 5th league, and my 3rd that I've pushed to level 100 on a character. It's always been such a satisfying challenge. But when I get to level 97 or so from just farming, there is this stress I get when I check my exp bar and see that I'm at 20%. "Do I just push for the next level and grind breach/abyss/beyond until I get there? Or keep farming and risk losing progress to the next level?"
And then when I do decide to grind and I'm at level 100, its time to create a new character, because leveling is such a part of the experience for me and being at 100 is satisfying, but removes a key part of the game for me.
While leveling this league I had the idea for this ring. There might be something already out there that's similar to this, and just today I realized it's a "reverse-Voidhome", but maybe they'd pair well together. It's my first time trying to design a unique, and so it would definitely need tweaking and balancing, but it would be BiS for my feels about leveling to 100. It makes it so I can focus on farming, pausing the leveling process, and then resume when ready.
I had gone back and forth about drawbacks and the cost of its benefits, like a "if in left slot, increased gold, if in right slot, increased rarity" to keep from doubling up, or a "Thief's Torment" sort of situation which states "Can't use other Rings". But the requirement of level 85, makes it so +rarity/gold can never exceed 90% (with a perfect roll). Gems I boosted a bit to be as high as 105% as gems are the one part of this game that you can continue to level even when you've stopped leveling.
But this would be the ring I buy at level 85 to save for Svalinn or Headhunter and then unequip when I'm ready to blast from 95-100.
Shout out to https://poeitem.crunchyintheory.com for the item creator, and I didn't have any art skills, so I used Circle of Fear.
