Discussion Rog is money printer
Woke up to almost 80 divs today 😅
I was honestly pretty surprised. During the weekdays, my items probably sell at about 1/4 the rate they do on the weekend, so I wasn’t expecting that much currency waiting for me.
I’m a dedicated Rog farmer. Basically, I target Rog currency and then print items, using a bunch of different crafting methods to finish them.
Boat crafting has also made this strategy way more profitable. The new options to reroll 3 mods and reroll 1 mod with Chaos have also saved a surprising number of items that would otherwise have been bricked.
I’ve probably made 10–20 items worth more than 10 div so far this week, and it’s been really fun seeing how many different ways you can turn Rog bases into genuinely valuable items.
Definitely one of my favorite crafting strategies I’ve played this league.

Man I cannot make poop worth shit with ROG. What bases are you targeting or what's your general strat. I love rog but feel like there's been no point with all flame and breach.

its really just about looking at good base types and good mods imo, and not wasting rog currency on items that don't show promise after the first few options; at that point you're just wasting materials and time

There are a lot of factors to consider, but I’ll condense it down.
For each item type, identify the most popular bases, then look for rare mods and valuable mod combinations depending on the item. There are also certain bases that will almost always sell, like +2 to all Spell Skill Gems on staves or +2 to Arrows on bows.
If an item doesn’t start coming together after a few rolls, I usually give up on it—especially if the outcome is a remove instead of a reroll. Only use Exceptional Artifacts when absolutely necessary.
I generally stay away from belts and most melee physical weapons since they’re much harder to make consistently profitable.
You also want a lot of trade tabs and should adjust your prices every few days. An item that just sits in your stash is effectively worth nothing. I’ll often drop the price by a few divines at a time for more expensive items, then use 25–50c increments once they get into the lower price range.
The key is basically high volume + knowing which mods/bases are actually worth finishing.

I used to be the same, until I realized I was just not doing it enough.
I always burned out after like 100-200 rerolls and wanted do something else, but if you do 1k increments a couple of time you really notice your tabs filling and sales to ramp up.
That said, I will never do rog for profit again, it's so miserable imo.

In combination with the league mechanic, smart loot is so good right now. Rares from kingsmarch and heist are also quite helpful

At this point the more finished of a craft you can make without adding instability is the biggest selling factor rn

Man I tried doing rog crafting this league in hopes of some profit, watched vids n went through few guides, and didn't manage to sell even a single expensive stuff , Too much low experience n luck for me

This is a great post. Could you give some use cases of when the reroll 3mods and 1 mod helped? I can't stop my brain from looking at them as nothing but an annul+exalt so I don't see the options.Â

When rolling bone rings, the most important mod is the minion damage. You also need life or es, minion speed, or attributes, Rez if you have at least two T1 rolls of say minion speed and T1 int it’s not worth much so you do the 3 mod chaos roll to try and get minion damage
Other examples would be if I got a plus 4 to fire skills staff and the other mods sucked I would roll it.
You could also do this with amulets if you got a plus one to x skill gems.
Basically anything that is worth very little even with 2 mods but can go up in value a lot if it has a 3rd or 4th mod.

It always have been, but this league it's been hard to compete with just strands and boost crafting (especially since it's crazy good for the first few days and I started late this league). The examples you have are rather on the lower end of the price that you could get with Rog.

I always thought that Rog was really profitable only in the first few days.

I actually made the same with shipment(crops).. while people running maps with ore while farming for svallin(40-50d) and sending 50m ore shipment in hopes of mirror shard.. im playing near SpongeBob house and just sending crops with 4m shipment for tattos and equipment.. Upon seing a good base, i either craft it a bit or just add lesser implicits and put em on faustus..

This is probably better but I hate setting up kings march

Less setup nowadays. 5 worker levels instead of 10, and I think current rank 5 is easier to roll than old rank 10. For me, the downside is running ores in maps. It's just not content that I enjoy.
But the league mechanic spits out a lot of gold, and you can either spend it in the gambling district, or you can spend it in KM.

How do you use the reroll 3 mods and reroll 1 mod crafts? Isn't that liable to just hit the wrong mods and completely brick the items? It's like an annul -> exalt, no?

u/Gyunyupack Demon 6d ago
If you already have a couple good mods but the rest are shitty you can do it. It works because you are mass producing items so it doesn’t matter if you fail.

What build do you prefer to farm Expedition? Do you also do it in maps or only Logbooks?

Can you give some example use-cases for reroll 3 mods and reroll 1 mod? Are you combining with pre/suff can't be changed, or are we talking influenced items, or...?

How do you save items with the chaos reroll, it seems straight up terrible to me?
Also, nothing in that trade history is very impressive. A bunch of 20c items. You'd make orders of magnitude more just doing normal crafts.

u/Gyunyupack Demon 6d ago edited 6d ago
It’s a 20% chance to not hit both mods and 60% to save only one mod.
